    bioxx, beta2pre10 is insane, like the terrain gen changes. Lots of ore outcrops on mountains. :)

    due to the terrain gen changes, old seeds are alot different. Don't expect your fav seed to be the same.

    @sp614x, I did a fresh install and handheld items are not corrupted anymore with better than wolves 3.62 and optifine A11.

    obviously you have not played the mod, you don't chop down the entire tree with a flint tool. You just need to chop the base, like treecapitator. You only need 4 flint tools, harvest some stone using them and save a little bit of durability for 4 logs to create a crafting table. It only takes less then 5 minutes to actually get stone tools.

    unless it changed from beta1 just smelt sand in a firepit for glass.

    5. Install Redpower 5

    yea, it's too early to tell but I do hope they optimize and bug hunt the server side more so. Experiencing mild block lag and general mp bugs in a single player world sucks. Even though the server side is hosted locally on your computer the server can still experience performance issues. The ones not complaining are the ones most likely that have high spec'd machines. I did notice a mild fps increase and some chunk loading increase, but also have experienced some block lag at times and half rendered npc villages.

    One unified code base is a good thing, but experiencing things that happen in SMP in a SSP world is a turn off.

    Only time will tell...

    well if you follow the install instructions....this isn't a hold your hand type thing. the install instructions tell you exactly what to do with the specific versions of TFC. This has been explained many times in this thread over the last few pages. Take the time to read them.

    anyone having issues with the latest beta only thing I can suggest which I had to do is start with a fresh vanilla install of minecraft. But also make sure to delete the TFC config files also if you are installing over a previous install.

    and the install instructions on the download page http://www.terrafirmacraft.com/download/ are pretty easy to follow. Also if using optifine always install it last.
