There is nothing humorous about excessive and unneeded blood, especially afterbirth like that. If you make the mod for yourself, then why publish it? You do it to make money off of donations, and because you know others enjoy the actual features of the mod. By publishing it, you open your mod up to criticisms and requests like I gave, but you do not get the right to insult someone by calling them humorless.

Overall, I love the mod and the new gameplay style it adds, although I'm a casual player and haven't really gotten very far into the tech tree. I offered a suggestion and criticism about a small, insignificant portion of the mod that is extremely open to personal views, yet instead of trying to give any reasoning, you just say "you have no sense of humor, I think its funny and it stays." If you are going to post your work for others to use and enjoy, at least consider being more sensitive to different views than your own, especially when it comes to a very subjective, gruesome, and trivial aspect of the mod that has no effect on the gameplay.

Well it is his mod, his freedom of creativity. If you don't like something about the mod then maybe this isn't the mod for you.

    No it is compatible.

You can not say it is compatible due to the fact if you install it last you lose BTW features, if you install BTW last you lose optifine features. If you have to take class files out of the mod and use another mods files it isn't compatible. Either way you lose features. There is 7 class files that optifine and btw both edit, so technically it isn't compatible.

Optifine works with BTW, (Unsupported like everything else though of course)

optifine when installed last overwrites 7 files that BTW uses. If you install optifine then install BTW over top it works, but you lose alot of optifine functionality. So technically it is not compatible, but some of it works.

Tbh the whole game seems to be fubar in 1.3.x.

I haven't played SMP so I'm not sure how much of this stuff is down to the transition to making the whole game run as a server, which from my viewpoint sucks hairy man eggs, because I don't want to play SMP:

Game seems to lag like crazy. Even with OptiFine.

Mobs suck. More than a bit. They aren't working right. At all.

Mob drops seem glitchy as hell. I kill a pig, it drops 3 pork, then magically that has become 1 pork and yet when I pick up that 1 pork I have 3 in my inventory. Why the hell can't there just be 3 pork lying on the damned ground?!

    ....

    dang it -ninja's-

They made it so drops combine to help prevent lag due to massive drops lying around. It's a documented change that was made during the snapshots. However the mobs/animals/villagers glitching down a block is annoying,

Vanilla bugs are not part of BTW, complain to Mojang.

actually if everyone stopped doing the said posts the whole forum would be easier to manage. I feel sorry for all the developers having to see the said posts on their mod threads also to the MCF mods that have to go through every thread and deal with it.

So those who haven't read the forums rules take the time to read them. For those that have and still believe they can pester for something that is given to them for free here ya go...enjoy.

I have a question about Mo' Creatures and Better than BuildCraft. In the compatability list over at BTB Wiki Mo' is listed as comapatible. But Mo' requires Forge and Forge interferes with the proper functioning of BTB.

I am confused. Any answers out there? Thanks!
    !

it states version 2.12.2 which is very old as mo'creatures is at 3.6.2 and started using forge at 3.6.0. So unless you can find 2.12.2 you are out of luck. Even still that version wouldn't work with minecraft 1.2.5. So your out of luck regardless.

OK, I'm having a problem. Everytime I try to smelt anyting in the firepit it gets to Very Hot* and then when it's about to get to Very Hot** it disappears leaving me with nothing. This has happened with both Bismuthinite and Cassiterite.

    I'm using Minecraft 1.2.5
Im was using Forge #96 and it wouldn't work, I also tried the newest version #115 and it still wouldn't work.
I'm was also using TFC #20 and I updated to #23 and in either one it didn't work.

I've read through the forum and seen alot of this question with the answer being to update. What exactly needs to be updated I don't understand. And I seem to be updated, I realize TFC #24 is the newest version at the time of writing this, but looking at the change log it seems it updating wouldn't solve this problem.

Any idea's, known fixes, whatever would be helpful. And if you do think "Update" is the answer, please expand the answer as to what I need to update.

    Thanks.

you need use molds in a firepit to catch the liquid metal. This was added in pre17...from the changelog.

"Firepits now correctly require molds in the output slots when you smelt ore."

posted a message on [1.2.5] ThaumCraft 2.1.6d (OUTDATED)
has anyone notice a fairly large drop in framerate with thaumcraft2? For example...

start a new world and let world generate for 5 minutes

vanilla 1.2.5 with optifine B1 (short render distance, maxfps, fancy graphics) - 50-60fps
mc 1.2.5, minecraft forge 3.1.3.105, thaumcraft 2.1.6 and optifine B1 (same settings as above) - 15-22fps

Thaumcraft2 is the only mod that I get this massive hit on fps.

Hello and good day .. i have followed the directions for install exactly.. The game loads fine no issues untill i create a world which loads fine then when i get into the world i have white textures for a majority of the blocks not all but mostly the rocks and armor it seems. I have tried to put the texture zip into the core client zip also tried putting just the bioxx folder from the textures zip into the core client zip with no aval .I have tried installing the the mods in diffrent order but always have modloader first then forge second and that didnt work either.

Im using NEI to check and be sure i have the mod loaded correctly.

Im also using multiMC and have tried it threw the normal minecraft launcher as well with the same results

download and update the textures in the .jar. It was updated after the initial pre13 texture update. Also with every beta pre update delete the tfc config files. due to id changes and such.

Ya I read the whole thing don't worry it upsets me to leave my newfound copper mine, but meh progress is progress.

well my pre12 world seed works in pre13. So if your world is one from when the latest world gen changes happened it should still be a good seed for pre13.

the hottest woods are maple and hickory.
use a bellows too you can just hold right click on the bellows to save yourself clicking loads :P
casiterite melts at very low temps while copper/malchite require high temps :)
    hope that helps.

On another note pre 13 is out and now has armour :D

and a key point in the changelog...
"Rewrote some backend code that radically altered the metadata for rock types. This has caused the need for new worlds."
