I don't want the option to disallow multiplayer on my single player worlds... I want the option to KEEP MY SINGLE PLAYER WORLDS, SINGLE PLAYER. I don't want to have to connect to a glitchy server to play single player, I like to be able to play even without an internet connection. It is NOT much hassle just to copy a single player world into a server folder if you want people to join. Who cares about lazy people, they're lazy...
yea, it's too early to tell but I do hope they optimize and bug hunt the server side more so. Experiencing mild block lag and general mp bugs in a single player world sucks. Even though the server side is hosted locally on your computer the server can still experience performance issues. The ones not complaining are the ones most likely that have high spec'd machines. I did notice a mild fps increase and some chunk loading increase, but also have experienced some block lag at times and half rendered npc villages.
One unified code base is a good thing, but experiencing things that happen in SMP in a SSP world is a turn off.
Only time will tell...

Well it is his mod, his freedom of creativity. If you don't like something about the mod then maybe this isn't the mod for you.

You can not say it is compatible due to the fact if you install it last you lose BTW features, if you install BTW last you lose optifine features. If you have to take class files out of the mod and use another mods files it isn't compatible. Either way you lose features. There is 7 class files that optifine and btw both edit, so technically it isn't compatible.

optifine when installed last overwrites 7 files that BTW uses. If you install optifine then install BTW over top it works, but you lose alot of optifine functionality. So technically it is not compatible, but some of it works.

dang it -ninja's-
They made it so drops combine to help prevent lag due to massive drops lying around. It's a documented change that was made during the snapshots. However the mobs/animals/villagers glitching down a block is annoying,
Vanilla bugs are not part of BTW, complain to Mojang.

So those who haven't read the forums rules take the time to read them. For those that have and still believe they can pester for something that is given to them for free here ya go...enjoy.

it states version 2.12.2 which is very old as mo'creatures is at 3.6.2 and started using forge at 3.6.0. So unless you can find 2.12.2 you are out of luck. Even still that version wouldn't work with minecraft 1.2.5. So your out of luck regardless.

you need use molds in a firepit to catch the liquid metal. This was added in pre17...from the changelog.
"Firepits now correctly require molds in the output slots when you smelt ore."

start a new world and let world generate for 5 minutes
vanilla 1.2.5 with optifine B1 (short render distance, maxfps, fancy graphics) - 50-60fps
mc 1.2.5, minecraft forge 3.1.3.105, thaumcraft 2.1.6 and optifine B1 (same settings as above) - 15-22fps
Thaumcraft2 is the only mod that I get this massive hit on fps.

download and update the textures in the .jar. It was updated after the initial pre13 texture update. Also with every beta pre update delete the tfc config files. due to id changes and such.

well my pre12 world seed works in pre13. So if your world is one from when the latest world gen changes happened it should still be a good seed for pre13.

and a key point in the changelog...
"Rewrote some backend code that radically altered the metadata for rock types. This has caused the need for new worlds."
