    i don't know. the trees are very distant from me. i saw them in my flatland world, but never my legit world.

    and i do similar stuff. something goes wrong i delete the whole world

    or get a basic crucible, put a filter and then a tank on the line. dump a bunch or stone and dirt and there, crucible activating=taint charge, filter=taint released. or set up 2 portal runes of the same network over each other, portal infinite loop

    if he had used suction seals that only affect mobs, and placed some damage seals he could have been a lot more cost efficient. i understand why he did it, trying to use a variety of mods, but he really didn't need it

    i rarely update the mods i have installed unless there is a major content update or it updated to cause less lag. as a result i haven't updated forge since i installed it.
    i do this because then there is a less chance i will have to go in and fix stuff. if i decide to add a mod, i make a complete backup, an then add the mod. if something goes wrong that i can't fix, i backdate

    in other news: love the seals. A Void age with mystcraft + a couple seals work great for mob traps: one to kill the stragglers that don't die from the falling damage, the second to suck up items.
    only took about ~30 minutes to get enough zombie brains for an enchanter.

    that sounds like a better idea. DW spammed about 15 of them, and he still doesn't get all the drops.

    as general advice.

    1. install NEI

    2. run your minecraft without adding any new mods.

    3. in the NEI options, you can dump an unused block ID list

    4. add your new mod, then find it's config file (you may need to run minecraft once for this to generate), and then use unused block IDs for the new mod.

    this will ensure that old worlds are not corrupted by changing block IDs that are already in use.

    also only install mods one at a time, so that you can change each new config file if/when necessary.

    from what i can tell minecraft has to run once successfully for any new mods to generate config files. i have never had one generate on a failed install(as in a crash)

    no, i got 2k+ posts by providing resourceful information on this board, and asking questions in places i needed to know stuff. but when i see questions like your everyday i start to get sick of them. as a general rule of thumb, check the last 3 pages before asking any questions

    it would be awesome if this was changed so that it can be installed in bukkit, and you can set it up so people have one aspect permenetly(typo i know). combined with factions you have a mutant brawl rp server
