The things I'd love most are(in order):
New passive mobs.
New terrain formations.
Bug fixes.
I like the squid personally, they look cute. =3
I'd also love to see volcanoes!
the most bothersome bug as of now for me, is that the side of grass doesn't match... >.<
I got it working. The thing I did to get it to work was to delete the Mojang files in the Meta-inf. I kept the manifest file and the Meta_Inf folder. It got passed the loading screen and worked.
I don't know why, but after installing the mod loader Minecraft stays at the finished loading screen.I've installed mods before beta, and it's worked. Has anything changed for installing?
Steps I'm taking:
Extract jar
Drag files into Minecraft folder
Delete Meta-Inf
zip and rename to jar
This worked for mods, I even tried it just changing the recipes, it worked. Also, yes, I downloaded new jar files before I tried (I also tried numerous times).
[EDIT]
IRC wasn't too helpful. All they did was give me a link to a very insulting tutorial. I followed it and it still didn't work.
I'm online again. I don't know what I'll be doing. But I'm going to be playing with my Wiimote+Classic controller. Come watch if you want to see me whimper in front of mobs.
Thanks for the advice. So far, most of the things I have on there are just to get familiar with the site, and different settings. My newest one has me talking, but only because there were 2 people watching (dunno if that was you?).
My friend told me that the game constantly generated terrain as far as you went. I'm pretty sure that there IS an end to it eventually, if it didn't, wouldn't the game memory get too large for the computer?
Unrendered chunks my friend.
Great video, it explains a lot!
I'm not one great with computers, but wouldn't a shutdown/restart clear the memory, so more chunks could be loaded? Or is it more of a limitation with the code, and it not generating chunks?
I thought it was never ending, that's why I'm curious why it's not.
This is here for two things specifically. One, to ask a few questions (Topic). Two, to advertise my lame livestream. =D
So what do you think makes a good Livestream?
Also, come watch me, I'll probably be exploring caves. If you really want me to, I'll run around getting thrashed by mobs. http://www.livestream.com/demon13
People say the way I mine is very inefficient and silly. I will dig a staircase into the ground and dig a space 2 block high. I will then continue to hollow it out, keeping it only 2 blocks high. After I'm content for that level, (the lower down i go, usually the larger it is) I dig down until 3 blocks separate the floors and I repeat.
it will look like:

(repeat 3stone 2air)
So how inefficient is this? I know it's kind of like strip mining, in a sense, just without that HUGE hole.
While building my stairway into the deep underground, I suddenly caught fire. I thought maybe I was attacked by something or lava started to flow down. However none of that happened. I simple stood on a block for a few seconds, and BOOM!
Now the only way this could possibly happen is if heat distributes. If this is the case, then the leaf-decay code may not be the only thing lagging everyone. Think about how the heat has to distribute. It could be the same way the leaves decay (same way as in recursion, or loops).
Proof of spontaneous combustion:
Sorry if this is nothing new, However I didn't notice it before or after the Halloween update.

P.S. If this posts multiple times, I'm sorry, I don't think it's going through...
