    Waves would be awesome... plus making coastal towers and such more pleasant and ambient with waves pounding against your structure.

    With the buoys though... my proposal: the buoy will stay at the lowest water surface.

    The water would just rush over or around the buoy, and not shift its X,Y coordinates. That's my idea.

    I was thinking a hammer/mallet would be useful as well, primarily in the destruction of built blocks (cobblestone/wood/or metal blocks) but can work for dirt, sand, and gravel. It can't be used to mine ores or stone though.

    posted a message on better powerd mine carts
    I can agree... I don't wanna abuse the bump mechanics to power my carts, but a legit item to do it. So, I'm all for a more powerful or efficient powered-cart. As well as linking carts into trains.

    So, a +1 to improving powered minecarts, as well as a +1 to eliminating the bump mechanics.

    Working on epic towers or mining. Currently, depending on the amount of stone I have or if I'm closer to my mine, I either continue my spiral lighthouse or collect more stone.

    But it all depends on your world I suppose.

    I love the idea of underwater exploration. Personal, wonder if underwater caves exist. But I like the concept of lenses and breathing apparatus, plus buoys to mark a location. A buoy could keep the same X Y position, and always stay on the top level of water.

    EXAMPLE:
    [] :Logs^: [] -> [] [] []
    :Water: :Water: :Water: -> [] :Logs^: []
    :Water: :Water: :Water: -> :Water: :Water: :Water:
    This way a buoy can easily be implement with tides or waves.

    For VERY OBVIOUS reasons I am totally in favor of expanded underwater abilities:

    Mostly, I want submarines. Boats with a class canopy. Standard boat controls, but the jump key ascends, and shift descends. Right click would fire torpedos (arrow plus TNT plus coal) which would destroy one block on impact.

    That's impressive. I like the sub idea, just minus the torpedos. No BANG-BANG in MC.

    Rubber would be fun, as well as oil. Rubber can provide the creation of fun houses and safe landings, and maybe even the creation of a ball for MC sports. Plus... rubber clothing armor would be fun, too. (But that's personal merit.) <____<;

    As to a side topic mention, steam would be grand as well. Love to see steam powered (or oil powered) machinary to power gears and mechanisms.

    As for Silver, more decoration, and I can't go wrong with that.

    Spice and copper, no real merit there, except if copper replaces Redstone circuits.

    A slime spawns in my tunnel at bedrock level. It's not a spawn point for them - I dug the tunnel. I think they need a large area, near bedrock level, and light(?) to spawn. I was playing on peaceful also.

    From tales I've heard, those have been the recipe for a slime so far. I'm gonna test it out to see, but still unsure about it.

    My save is in my siggy, test it out on mine if you want. It's in the tunnel at bedrock level near my spawn point.

    Well... testing it currently in my world. Making a huge mine 3x2 tunnels, and trying to keep it lit well. Once I dig several more corridors, I'll keep it sealed and come back in a day or two (IRL) to see what I can find. Will post any findings.

    heres a quick guide 2 how 2 c a slime and even get it as a pet(i cant guarante it will work)

    dig a tunnel down 2 the bedrock(the rocks at the bottom of the map)make a 9X9 cave here make sure theres no water or lava nearby cuz that will kill ze slime =(
    now go down there once everyday and every night(also have alot how torches in the room this will make the slime spawn more comonly)when u find a slime it will b either small medium big or huge(the small slime spawns on peacefull but i will grow up and try 2 kill u) now when the slime have appeared u can either glass it in or put it in a mine cart and send it up 2 ur house and keep it as a pet(this only works with small slime)have fun with ur new buddy =P

    I'll incorporate a few 9x9 at my intersections and see what happens. Thanks for the tip.

    posted a message on Simplistic level system
    Quite simple: I disagree with a level system, or any form of leveling up.

    I like the system as is, me being weak and frail, and a surprise attack from anything has a good chance of killing me. This provides a element of survival, and the fact you have to stay aware of your environment. And once SMP implements health to players and creatures, a fear of backstabbing and betrayal can all occur. Adding to the survival, and forming community bonds (or simply isolating yourself as a hermit in fear of the worst).

    But yes, NO level systems. Everyone should be equal.

    Quote from monkeedude »
    Quote from defiler86 »

    It would provide a method of currency players can trade with instead of the normal bartering method (IE: 5 iron ingots for 2 pork chops).

    While I'd also like to see that happen - it takes a lot for a currency system to set up and evolve (and I don't Mean just developing coins into the game)

    Essentially, if Gold has no practical uses, there's no real reason why I'd want it. Why would I give someone anything of mine for pieces of currency, which I may or may not need in the future. Perhaps the currency I already have would suffice, and the extra cash essentially means nothing. The only benefit to having currency over bartering for simple items like coal on larger scale, is that it allows the items you normally barter with the exit the system, the float is no longer in coal, so people can use their coal. The way it is now if you want to barter you might set some of your coal aside to trade for some wood so you don't have to go find a tree because your village clear-cut the whole section around the mines already.

    I'm not saying that gold coins would be useless, money today is useless except for the value we place upon it. To me anything can be used as currency, even flint or gravel. (After a while, those flint has no purpose to me.) Gold coins are just as decorative as gold blocks, mainly for the "Ooo..." factor it has when you open a chest and 5 stack of gold coins are glittering.

    And I agree... a currency system to develop does take time for a community to develop. So, currency might be different in each server, and bartering is a time-tested and true means of exchange. It'll be a server's decision to implement a currency system.

    Gold coins primarily have a RP value to it, and a good item for commerce. The barter systems is good when you have what the other requires. A gold currency can be the middle medium to exchange when A person doesn't have what B needs. So A purchases it with gold, so B can trade the gold to C who has what he needs, but he does not.

    And in retrospect... maybe gold bars can do as currency. If anything, I can agree to gold coins to be a LOW priority, since other things are far more important.

    Personally, gold has no real worth except for decoration. I just like to see gold turned into coins.
    :GoldBar: [] :GoldBar:
    [] [] []
    :GoldBar: [] :GoldBar: = 10 Gold Coins

    To reserve it:
    :Flint: :Flint: :Flint: ( :Flint: being Gold Coins)
    :Flint: :Flint: :Flint:
    :Flint: :Flint: :Flint: = 1 Gold Bar (So gold coin to bar has a depleted value)

    It would provide a method of currency players can trade with instead of the normal bartering method (IE: 5 iron ingots for 2 pork chops).

    Plus, I like to have a treasure chest filled with gold coins and diamonds. <__<

    Well, oil filled lanterns sounds like the way to go. Or magma fill fluorescent tubes. <_<
