    I have an idea for yet another status debuff (or a set of debuffs). Its called Neural Overload, and it is caused by riding a jaeger (or crimson typhoon) with 1 pilot (and 2 for crimson). What it does is deplete a few hearts of health a give nasea initially, and then cause a the player to faint if they have enough hearts to compensate for the ones that are gonna be lost. The faint status causes the player to go into a similiar animation to sleeping in the bed, however, not only does time still pass normally while fainted, but agressive mobs can still see you and attack you. there are two strengths of the debuffs. The first one is only when there is one pilot in a jaeger (or 2 pilots in Crimson). The second strength only occurs if you attempt to pilot Crimson Typhoon yourself.

    Apparently part of the reason its getting this movie series is getting this much a expansion is not only how popular Pacific Rim was world wide but also after the release of Godzilla (2014) U.S. sales of Pacific Rim doubled. Obviously, people want kaiju battles and Legendary Pictures sees this. And so, once again, Godzilla (2014) has helped and saved more films (it finally brought several godzilla films that were never release prior internationally, now be released internationally...and renewed interest in the Gamera series)

    Actually, its also been officially announced that Pacific Rim 2 has been greenlit by Legendary Pictures just a little while ago, with a current set date of release of April 7, 2017

    They're working on it right now. Del Toro doesn't even know if legendary will even consider producing it, but he's helping to write the script as if they will.

But yes the other main differences are that the rift will be in the bottom of the center of the Pacific biome and the biome will also be 3x as big as the normal ocean biome

    There are new Deep Ocean biomes in vanilla, maybe you can just modify how it generates with the mod installed

    Maybe the kaiju skin can be armor upgrades for jaegers

    Godzilla probably be a VERY late game boss, perhaps one that is fought in the Alien Dimension. And he is HARD! Probably so hard, that it is recommended to have other players join you in other jaegers to fight him

    Hey, since the Pacific Rim fandom is good pals with the Attack on Titan Fandom, you should throw in the Colossal Titan as a extremely rare spawning mob that can spawn anywhere above ground.Only attacks it could have is standard attack, and steam knockback attack, but it should also be slow. The model will probably be easy to make, just a take a player model, enlarge it, make the arms 2 times too long but also abnormally thin, give it abnormally thick legs, and a small head, and you have it.
    What it could drop is Titan Meat, which I have an idea for that I'm not so sure about. First off, it has ABYSMAL saturation but recovers nearly all your hunger bar, however because of the low saturation, you'll likely lose all the hunger you've gained in the next few seconds. The purpose of it is that its the only food item you can eat in your Jaeger. Eating it in your Jaeger gives you a Jaeger only temporary status buff, Berserk. Berserk increases the speed, strength, damage resistance and resistance to kaiju given negative status buffs (like the acid of Otachi or the EMP of leatherback), however, it gives the player a powerful hunger effect, that by the time it wears off, (if you had a full bar of hunger), you'll have at least 1 hunger point remaining. Maybe if you're on multiplayer, the player who didn't eat the titan meat can feed the player who did food.

    BTW, this is a little known fact, but throughout the film you hear the various Jaeger's warning horns. You hear one during the scene where Gipsy goes to face Otachi , right before the boatsword scene (it sounds like the BWOOOM of soundtrack and something straight out of Inception....but it isn't). In story it is used to tell the people hiding in bunkers that a Jaeger has arrived....and to give the jaeger equivalent of the middle finger to a kaiju.
    I'm thinking that this might be something you can add as its use can be the exactly the same in the mod. To attract the attention of a Kaiju (preferably away from something valuable being destroyed by it) and on multiplayer servers to tell the players who don't have Jaeger's yet that someone has come to save them.

    Oh and cause villagers to run away from you so that you don't accidentally kill villagers when in your jaeger
