I just wanted to come and post about a new channel I created with a friend, Vilicus, that's currently focused around 4 series we're running involving Minecraft in one way or another. It can be found here:
1. Hardcore Minecraft - Pretty self-explanatory. This is our multiplayer series where we tackle the Hardcore world of Minecraft. After 2 false starts, we've been going pretty strong. We're 4 episodes in with 2 more in queue to be released. We record every other night for a couple hours, so we've got a lot of these planned for the future.
2. Ob Adventuram Vivo – Vilicus’ single player series where he tackles a huge list of Mods in his world. Some he’s used, some he’s learning, some he’s going to interact with for the first time in the series. Learn with him as he tackles the challenges ahead of him.
3. Super Tropical Adventure – Come “relax” in a Tropical Paradise, filled with natives, both good and bad, coral reef, buried treasure, and more! I’ll provide the Pina Colada and you bring your grass skirt. Dawgeth’s 1st SSP series.
4. Random Survival Map – In this series, I’m going to find a random survival map on the forums, and make a season around each map. For this first season, it’s Mountainous Survival by SiR_CrafTy.
Our schedule for release is as follows:
Monday: We each release SSP episodes
Tuesday: Hardcore Minecraft
Wednesday: SSP Episodes
Thursday: Hardcore Minecraft
Friday: SSP Episodes
We’re also wanting to start doing Survival/Adventure Map/Mod spotlights and reviews to throw out there at random throughout the week or weekend. If you are interested in showcasing your mod or map, give us a shout. Also in the future, who knows, maybe we’ll do giveaways, involve fans, and just have an amazing time with the community.
Other than that, we’re new at this – so there is going to be some learning involved. My audio, for example, was awful the first few episodes. I’ve (hopefully) ironed it out and we’ve gotten the ball rolling. We hope to see you guys on the channel!
Edit: I almost forgot - Critique and suggestions are ALWAYS welcome. We've got a lot to learn, and the community knows a lot. We're fans of a lot of you guys shows.. and we don't want to lower the curve too much. If you have any advise or have learned from any mistakes you've made, we'd love to hear them so we can prevent them.

I'm new to the Let's Play scene, and I've been looking for a map to play - and this has really provided what I was looking for! I've got 2 x 30 minute episodes recorded and I'll probably record 3-4 more tonight while I render the first 2.

I currently host through MinecraftBox.net, GREAT hosts and have been very attentive. My only issue is the lack of consistently monitoring for Mod updates,etc. Forge and all the mods were out of date until I asked for them to be updated.. and while I LOVE Their hosting, fast, etc.. I'd love direct access to upload for myself, and the ability to modify the configuration files.
I'm not asking for much, just access to the Minecraft root and 2 slots on the server.
The mods I'll be running:
- IC2
- IC2 Advanced Machines
- RP2
- BC
- BC Forestry
- BC Advanced Pipes
- Railcraft
And obviously ModLoaderMP and Forge.
I just spent $14 a week ago and have had a single day of play to find out through the console half the mods are busted ID wise.. I'd like to have a sort of free trial for a couple days to make sure everything works. After that, I'm an extremely loyal customer - and will support/spread word across the tubes of the internet.

Added: We're both located in/near Kansas City, MO. We'd like US based hosting.
These guys are great. I picked up a server with them the other day, and they've put up with a huge amount of demands for Mods they didn't provide. They've put each and every single one of the ones that I've requested into the system, and have done so in a reasonable time frame. All tickets I've submitted have been taken care of without an attitude, and they've put up with some ridiculous questions.
While I havent had much time to play on my server now that we finally squared away all the mods/etc, the time I have been on there has been little to no lag, and no crashes at all. My friend who I share the server with also reports little to no lag.
My former host would only allow Bukkit, so it's great to find one that will allow mods, and do so with little to no questions asked.
I'm sure you guys are sick of seeing my name in your ticket queue, and now you have to put up with it here. I just wanted to say thanks for the quick setup on day one, and the help ironing out the mods over the past couple days. Now that I'm good - you won't see my name much anymore :smile.gif:
