    For a long time, villagers have been so retarded that the player could steal all their items and kill them without suffering any reactions and can barely survive the first day their chunk is loaded.

    I would like to change that.

    First, I will talk about their self esteem, villagers should react if a block of their house is destroyed and will give a warning the first time and then send their golems.

    If their is no golems to protect them from mobs and/or players, they have a chance to be brave enough to form a "militia" or build a new golem if they have a blacksmith with enough iron.

    The villager "militia" can have random weapons/tools on their backs or something like a stick (+2 damage) or a arrow (+3 damage) if the blacksmith is too low of a "skill" or their is no blacksmith, villager fighting style can be very fast, though they are normally very cowardly and keep their distance by running back when they hit something and "throw" items when their health is lower than 10 points (half health).

    Villagers will run if one is killed by the player rather than standing there and look at them.

    The villager farmers will run around fields and "harvest" their crops, priests will jump around their house and sometimes "block" doors during a zombie siege, blacksmiths will "use" their furnaces to craft better items and store them in their chests.

    Blacksmith skills will "increase their skills" as time passes and craft better items for trades and the militia.

    That is all I can think of and you can suggest what you would like to change about villages and their randomness.
