Well, this assumes that you already have the required materials to summon it as many times as you need, but it gives you a low-tech way to easily kill it almost every time. The other traps I've tried don't work as well because when it gets stuck or shot at, it makes a way out, unless it is stuck in Bedrock.
I honestly wasn't planning on releasing any more updates for this mod, but since mojang is once again talking about releasing a mod api, I will most likely get back to updating when and if they do release it.
Wow, I could have sworn I'd uploaded the 1.2.3 version a while back... Regardless, updated to 1.2.4, and the block IDs have been changed due to the original ones now being used in vanilla Minecraft. http://adf.ly/6cjW8
that is a really good idea, but it might make the worlds lag a bit. Anyway, i like it!
No, back when I played it it didn't lag in the slightest. If you mean that it would lag because it would have many worlds loaded, then once again no, because it unloads all the worlds that you aren't in, just like when you go into the nether, the main world is unloaded.
So I've recently remembered an old Beta 1.2_01 mod called the Inter/Intra-save Portals mod. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/95458-mod-single-player-interintra-save-portals-v03-117/
What is basically allowed you to do is stick a sign near a nether portal with the name of a world and coordinates, and it would take you there. The world could either be a completely unique world stored in the same folder, or it could be the name of a save, which would effectively take you into that save, as your character, and allow you to do anything you normally would be able to do.
Sadly the creator of the mod hasn't been online for nigh 2 years now, and yet I'm sure a ton of people would enjoy this mod. As the download in the mod topic doesn't work anymore, I even managed to find my old download and reupload it. It contains the binary files to put into minecraft, and it also contains the source files, which, I'm sure, will make it easier to update it, if anyone decides to try. http://www.mediafire.com/?tfi0fe1f89t7hcd
Oh, and if it happens that there already is such an SSP mod, that I simply don't know of, please do tell me! Thanks!
This looks pretty cool, but I was wondering something. Do the tools that had hafts made of wood before (axe, hoe, shovel, sword, pick) have increased durability? As in will they last longer than their wood handled counterparts?
Hmm, I guess that got lost in one of the first post revamps... But yeah, the tools with iron rods are twice as durable and a bit faster.
