Anyone know what the permissions for modpacks is? I want to add this to 'The Rise Of Insanity' modpack I'm making.

Go ahead! I would appreciate it if you could give me credit, but if that is difficult its ok if you don't!

Made a mod showcase, hope you use it!

P.S. What does eternal protection do?

Eternal Protection gives you absorption hearts that don't end when the effect ends. It doesn't work if you already have the absorption effects, or you already have eternal absorption. Its not supposed to be compatible with shielding though, so that looks like a bug.

Also, love the mod review, thanks for making one!

    Enchantable Golden Apples
    Enchant ALL the apples
Golden apples have been constantly changing since they were added back in infdev. Due to various changes to the game mechanics and developer whims, they have been nerfed, buffed, rebalanced, and nerfed again. Recently, the weaker version has been nerfed due to the developers trying to add the gamemode ultra-hardcore into the game. Their old nugget crafting recipe has been replaced with a ingot crafting, meaning that the gold to half heart ratio goes from 4:8/9 to 1:2. This mod undoes these nerf and brings a new dimension to enchanting and golden apples by returning the weak gold apple to its old 8 nugget recipe, and adding a new golden apple that can be enchanted.
This new golden apple is crafted the same way the old weak apple was crafted, aka with 8 gold ingots. Pre-enchanting this apple is the same as the nugget one, except that it restroes more hunger (configurable in the future). Enchanting this apple works like enchanting any other item, you will get 1-4 enchantments of various levels. There are 7 enchantments, some more rare than others, and some going up to higher levels than others. Each enchantment effects the potion effects given to the player, all effects are positive effects on the players health. Even if the apple does not contain an absorption or regeneration related enchantment, you will still receive the default absorption and regeneration enchantment unless you have a enchantment that replaces the regeneration or absorption with instant health or health boost.
The crafting of the nugget apples can be disabled in the config if you find it too powerful.

Change Log (Starting at version 1.1)

1.2.2: Green apples added. They drop from oak and dark oak trees just like normal apples. Nugget, ingot, and block golden apples can be made with green apples. Green apple golden apples give movement and damage related potion effects as apposed to health related effects. Defualt effects are damage boost and speed 1. Also added darty potions integration, which brought 4 more new potion effects. (Stride boost allows the player to step over larger barriers, at a rate of +0.5 blocks per level. Volly boost increases the damage done by projectiles shot by the player by 0.5 hearts per level. Leap boost increases the speed of the player while jumping. Fire attack sets enemys on fire when hit by the player, each level increases the burn time.)

The crafting of the nugget apples can be disabled in the config if you find it too powerful.

ToDo List-Potentially use corrupted effects to create a few more enchantments.-Add some new potion effects and corresponding enchantments for apples.-Possibly do some stuff with other gold food.-Add more options to the config.-Make enchanted apples spawn as dungeon loot.-Maybe make super powerful enchanted apples spawn as dungeon loot.

    Bugs
1.0:Incineration Refusal gives resistance instead of fire resistance.

    1.0-1.0.1:Incineration Refusal I gives a level 2 effect.

1.?-1.0.1b:Entire Stacks of apples can be enchanted with a single enchanted book for a low price.

1.1.3-1.1.5:Damage done to the player is multiplied universally.

1.1.x-1.1.6:If the damage done to the player is completely blocked by damage denial, and the player has eternal absorption hearts, the player instantly becomes a pseudo ghost.

    1.x-1.2:Several Compatibility bugs.

    Installation
    For 1.2:
Install minecraft forge and run it atleast once.

Unzip the GoldenApples-1.2.X.zip and copy both the DartyPotions.jar and the goldenAppleBase.jar into yout mods folder.

Make sure to only have 1 version of DartyPotions in your mods folder. (Currently, this is my only mod that uses DartyPotions, but that will change in the future.)

    Is it this easy? :0

As long as you have built the resource block pyramid.

hey how do you do speed II ?

    /setblock ~ ~ ~ minecraft:beacon 0 replace {Primary:1,Secondary:1}
Make sure it is on top of a completed pyramid.

Custom beacons are awesome, but sometimes using MC edit filters is too much of a hassle or just plain inconvenient. It would be so much easier if you could just enter a chat command and have an instant custom beacon, wouldn't it?

Well, it is surprisingly simple to do so, all you need to do is input the following command: /setblock ~ ~ ~ minecraft:beacon 0 replace {Primary:2,Secondary:3}, into the chat bar, replacing the red numbers with your desired potion effect, and you will have a custom beacon spawned in at your position. Unfortunately, you will still need the full pyramid to get the second effect.

All potion effects can be found here: http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Status_effect

I will now go over how each effect interacts with beacons (some of them can be really surprising!):

1: Speed: Works exactly like a speed potion/Standard beacon Speed.

2: Slowness: Works exactly like the potion.

    3: Haste: Standard beacon Haste.

4: Mining Fatigue: Standard Mining Fatigue.

5: Strength: Standard Beacon Strength/Standard Potion Strength.

    Now it gets interesting

6: Instant Health: VERY rapidly applies instant health to all players in range, at a rate where a creative player spamming instant damage II potions directly onto a player is completely out healed by an instant health I (not II) beacon.

7: Instant Damage: Damages all players in range at about the rate of poison IV (but with 3 hearts or 6 hearts depending on the level of the beacon). Does NOT damage the player faster than an instant health beacon will heal the player.

8: Jump boost: Standard beacon Jump boost.

9: Nausea: Gives the player Nausea effect. The effect will continue to work even after the player leaves the beacon range, until the effect wears off.

10: Regeneration: Standard Beacon Regeneration/Standard Potion Regen. It should be noted that, just like every other effect, by making Regen both the primary and the secondary, you can get regeneration II.

    11: Resistance: Standard Beacon Resistance.

12: Fire Resistance: Standard Potion Fire Resistance.

13: Water Breathing: Standard Potion Water Breathing.

14: Invisibility: Standard Invisibility, though one time when using an invisibility beacon, I noticed I breifly flickered into view.

15: Blindness:Standard Blindness. It should be noted that Blindness can make it very hard to find your way out of the beacons range if you get disoriented.

16: Night Vision: Gives the player night vision, BUT said night vision is ALWAYS in the last 10 second period, meaning it will constantly flash back and forth from full brightness to actual brightness. This can actually be useful as it lets you both see and tell what the actual light level is. {IMPORTANT READ} It should also be noted that a beacon with both night vision and blindness will completely blind the player, making said beacon nearly impossible to find once you leave it, meaning you will either have to abandon the area, use mcedit to remove the beacon, or take drastic measures to remove the beacon.

    17: Hunger: Standard Hunger Effect.

18: Weakness: Standard Weakness. Several notes: Weakness I players will deal 0.25 hearts of damage with their hands (half the normal damage). Players under the influence of a weakness I strength I beacon will deal about 0.6 hearts of damage (killed a creeper in 18 hits instead of the normal 20). Players with weakness II will deal no damage with their hands.

19: Poison: Players in range will be damaged by poison, but will receive a short "break" period every 4 seconds when the beacon refreshes the effect. A Poison I beacon will deal 3 hearts of damage during each damage period, the break period is barley noticeable. A Poison II beacon will deal 6 hearts of damage, and the break period is VERY noticeable. A poison I Regen I beacon will very slowly bring all players down to 1 heart. A poison II beacon will out damage a Regen II beacon enough to bring the player down to 1 heart within a moderate amount of time. A poison I beacon will be out healed by a Regen II beacon.

20: Wither: Standard wither. Can be combined with poison. Deals less damage than poison, but more than Regen heals. If wither II is combined with potion II, the player will rapidly loose health, and then die. The player will also see his hearts as poisoned, despite also being withered. Instant damage II still out damages this combination by a lot.

21: Health Boost: Empty hearts are added to the player. Every 4 seconds they are re-emptied when the beacon refreshes. If the player leaves the beacon's AOE, they will loose any filled up hearts when the effect runs out.

22: Absorption: Gives the player absorption hearts. Every 4 seconds any lost absorption hearts are replaced.

23: Saturation: Very rapidly replenishes the players hunger. A level 1 beacon will counteract the effects of hunger 100 as well as filling the players saturation bar up to the maximum amount in very little time.

That's about it, feel free to post ideas on how to use custom beacons.
