would it be worth dual booting windows 7 with ubuntu just to learn how to use linux?
That's how I started. After over a year of not booting windows (At all) I took over the whole disk for linux. Well, I installed windows on a virtual machine after that, but that's since been dropped.
What do you consider the worst ones? And what makes a video bad?

Bad editing, boring subject matter, awkward pauses (probably could have been fixed with decent editing so those could be combined) and annoying reaction shots.
dantose, i like your suggestions in general, seems like you did some legit research on stuff. However:
In regard to this, im not sure what i feel. I like the idea of having a cobble machine and being able to "put in work" to get more materials, even if it takes ages. I am building an economy based on a limited map which means at some point its possible all the flowers are already being used for decoration and etc too.... so i agree that the items you talk about are very important... but i think we need other items too if we are going on a limited size map.
I'll try to go through the whole table of item ID's to identify things people might want and list those if it helps.... rather too fat dumb and lazy feeling from new years pizza right now, yum!
Flowers can be generated by killing skeletons for bonemeal and using bonemeal on grass.
The Law of Conservation of Energy is defied. How?
Well, a single wood block becomes 4 planks.
A plank burns as long as a wood block, meaning you quadrupled the energy.
Smnelting wood into Charcoal octuples the energy.
Infinite energy can be created by a tree farm in this fashion, as you'll acquire tons and tons and tons of energy by cutting down a tree.
It's obviously just processing it to achieve more complete combustion. We can thus deduce that wood logs combust in a highly inefficient manner. This could be due to moisture content, airflow issues, or any number of other factors.
1. no save feature and not really a reasonable length to play through
2. lanterns are, depending how you play, to grindy (if you are trying to make enough to light up the cave) or too fiddly (if you are doign the place-sword-pick-glove-liftthing).
3. no minimap. the game requires you to hunt for stairs, then hunt for gold/gems, then hunt for other stairs. WAY too much hunting across too large of a map.
Or phrased another way, I'm looking forward to the community adding:
1. a save feature
2. increaseing the torch light radius and/or player light radius
3. adding a minimap

We need sharks first. Then we're gonna need a bigger boat.

Depends where you are:
High school: Short for swagger
anywhere else: Free stuff at conventions or shows. Stands for Stuff We All Get.

No, there is non-free software made to run on linux. That isn't the issue.
I'd suspect the two main reasons are market share (1%-5%) and the variety of distros out there.

... That makes it worse.

site does not exist. Directed to a placeholder site for a hosting site.
To the OP, I wouldn't bother buying cobble from the player at all.
Your buyable items should probably look something like:
iron
gold
diamond
redstone
lapis
based on rarity, you get the following amounts to get to diamond equivalence (based on digging bore holes straight down)
iron 28
lapis 6
gold 3
coal 56
redstone 35
diamond 1
You could simplify a bit to level stuff off:
buy/sell item
$100/$90 diamond
$25/$20 gold
$15/$10 lapis
$4/$2 iron
$3/$1 redstone
$2/nil coal
From that point, adjust prices by demand.

Yes, they can:
