Rambling Space (Things You Dislike in a Server, etc): On most servers I really hate the pay2win or pay2play type of servers. Like buying ranks for perks. When you could just use in-game money. I just don't like those servers lol.

The Basics
The server was originally created for players that wanted a place to come together and have fun with their friends, surviving together and enjoying Minecraft. We aim to be a very relaxed server, allowing anyone to come and destress. You will always find players online, ready to build the next big thing, explore to who knows where, or just fish and enjoy small talk.
We are semi-vanilla and there are a few plugins added that will not effect the survival experience in any way, but provide convenience and to keep things from going bland.
If you join us, you'll be in for a lifetime of fun. With a great group of players, you will not be griefed or harassed. You will not have to deal with the annoyance of dealing with hackers and immature players, active staff members quickly removes any troublemakers. There are no restrictions to where to build, and there will be a group of players waiting to help you build your castle, statue, and whatever you can imagine. And what player wouldn't be proud to represent a server with such an amazing logo and community? Did I also mention the owner will deliver fresh-baked croissants, from his oven, straight to your doorstep?

The Setup
Big projects are welcome on our server, whether it be a transcontinental rail system or an underground cow smuggling tunnel. There are no limitations, let your imagination run wild.
There are also a few features to provide convenience and an excitement factor, as previously mentioned:
Ability to set and return home, as well as go back to your most recent death point
Custom nicknames, you decide your color and whatever alibi you want to live by
Ability to teleport to other players with their permission
Chests can be locked to prevent any stealing
Creepers, explosions, and fire spread are turned off to prevent damage to your builds
McMMO
Map that updates in real-time, accessible online

Money for hunting, mining, etc

If you enjoy building with others, there are plenty of players on the server willing to take you in. If you enjoy surviving by yourself, you are free to do that as well. Everyone has their preferences! There is no admin shop on the server, all shops are run by the players.

While we aren't a mini-game server, players do love events every so often. Events are held often, depending on number of active players.
Maze Run - A maze will be created by the staff members and players will try to find the exit.
Build Contest - A theme, size, and time limit will be chosen and players compete for a prize. Each creation will be voted on by the players and staff, with the winner's creation becoming part of spawn.
Scavenger Hunt - Lucrative items will be hidden around the world, players scatter to find them.

The Croissant is a small, friendly and close-knit community server for mature players. We are a whitelist server, so an application must be filled out in order to join us. If staff find that you fit into our community, you will be accepted immediately!

We will never be a pay-to-win server. However, donations are extremely appreciated to help with server costs and keep us running. Donors will be given visual perks that will not effect gameplay as our show of gratitude.
Server Peak Hours: Players fill in hours after 5 PM EST, majority of players have work or are in college
1) Absolutely no griefing. This includes but is not limited to: stealing, excessive killing, destruction of other's properties, etc. However, pranking is allowed as long as it is not unsafe or extremely destructive.
2) Be mature and respectful. We are a family, there is no reason to be rude. Any toxicity or excessive cursing/namecalling will result in an immediate ban.
3) No hacked clients or xrays. Do not exploit bugs or glitches. This is self-explanatory, anything that gives you an advantage over others is not allowed.
4) PvP is not allowed on the server unless agreed upon by both parties.

Build Contest: Every month, a theme will be chosen by the community and players will be allowed to build, in creative, in the "contest area". Each creation will be voted on by the community, with the highest and runner up winning a prize decided by the staff.
Parkour Challenge: A parkour map will be chosen by the community and players will race to finish the map. The fastest player and runner up will receive a prize decided by the staff.
Maze Run: A maze will be created by the staff members and players will try to find the exit. The first player and runner up will receive a prize decided by the staff.
Duels: Players will be able to duel requested players in an arena, using simple commands.
[Coming Soon] Mario Kart: Players will be able to ride in minecarts in a Mario Kart-like race, including powerups.

I am currently looking for a developer to help out in managing the server, as my schedule is becoming busier due to finals and my job. In addition, I am looking for a developer to help in brainstorming ideas to attract more players, etc. The developer for the server will basically be my right-hand man or woman, and therefore must fit the requirements.

- Maintenance of plugins, insuring proper functioning of each - fixing conflicts, other bugs and errors
- Maintenance of server, including debugging of crashes and discovering problems or other bugs

The server is now back up and running after an earlier incident. The server host had a problem with another client using up all the memory on the node, causing our server to crash due to lack of memory. The problem has been resolved, everything should be back to normal now. Sorry about the downtime!
