Villagers were removed from it in this version. Main reason: They disappear. Same thing happens in pocket edition

So does anyone know where the original versions are?

OK so... thought I had already tried the link labeled Direct Download in the text just under the OPs pic... but apparently not... I DLd it just now... and it gives you 4ps.zip instead of the other fully spelled out versions in the links below it... this one has villagers and seems to be just fine in 1.8.8 and no UW Temples in the distance.

Since there are a few of you posting here still... maybe someone can help...

I have downloaded all three versions of this map for vanilla minecraft... I have launched servers using 1.4.4 1.4.7 1.5.1 and 1.8.8 and EVERY one of these populates a different island configuration (so I know it is loading the right one when I have gone through the different versions) but not once has a single villager populated. All pillars are there with no windows and zero villagers.

When I DL the map of the guy who posted his 18 month build, I see he has all 5 villagers. I used 1.5.1 like he notes in the description, but when I do this same thing replacing the files in the folder with each of the three versions... the same result happens... no villagers.

What am I doing wrong? I even copied this into my local minecraft and loaded each in single player and exactly the same things happen. Are the current links to versions sans villagers? Can someone point me to the original, villager filled versions if this is the case?

Why is this such a problem... not my first save/server I run a couple PC hosted servers and a couple PE hosted servers and run a local PC server on my own LAN and have never had these kinds of issues... HELP?!?
