As I have stated on the memo, as the current GM of DTG: Terraria, I fully support this change. The MCF are absolutely terrible currently, as the font and formatting problems show, and Terraria is proven to be able to support a DTG game. The only problem would be having two big DTG games on the same forums, but a lot of us play both games in some way (except for me and Tazz, who GM them) so, as long as players agree to move and continue to play, it shouldn't be too bad. The DTG forums are out for reasons of no more newbies coming in, leading to stagnation, as well as its abysmal character limit of 50k. Overall, XenForo (the forum software that Terraria uses) is much, MUCH better than MCF, the only things that I dislike being the inability to hide edits and the formatting of hr. But the benefits, in my opinion, vastly outweigh the problems.

I vote for the Almond Milk Elemental. ((No colors and fonts for this post, hardware limitations. I'll see about editing them in later.))

Crystal grins over at Erelye. "Well, now that I have materials, why not get something to use those materials to their fullest? Or two things, rather. A bucket of avaritine and a CELPH-H-IXIS, in return for... say, a Mark."

Crystal on the battlefield looks up at Earth 2.0, seeing Mars diving down towards the server and a conspicuous lack of massive blasts of sunfire and other destructive forces dispelling attacks that are aimed towards the planet. Barrier down, so soon. He growls slightly in annoyance, before taking out a giant apple. He grabs a syringe from nowhere and injects it into the apple, the syringe being full of the DNA of Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, the founders of Apple, as well as high-tech nanobots programmed to replicate the DNA using the apple. He then pulls out a high-tech-looking door and sticks it onto the apple. The door spouts some gibberish about calibrating and asks nearby people to avoid considering tubes. Finally, a light on the door blinks green, and a lock unlocks. Crystal opens it and steps through.

Crystal steps into the personal endozone of the apple, and immediately notices two things. First, the normal landscape has been somewhat overgrown with strands of what looks like thick string, but, when examined more closely, is DNA. Second, there is a massive monolithic structure in the distance, looking like a huge Apple store. Intrigued, he walks closer, and sees that the web of DNA around him grows denser the closer he gets to the Apple store. He enters the store, (which appears to sell... apple products and Apple products, of course) and sees that (1): the web of DNA is thickest there; (2): the DNA forms a massive head hanging from the ceiling, which looks like a fusion of Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak; (3): the head just twitched; and (4): AAAAAAAAAGH!

The head speaks. "We are Steve. Within this zone, we know all. We feel all. We are all. What do you wish?"

Crystal gulps. "What happened to this zone?"

Steve grins. "You happened. You took the apple which represents this zone on another layer and injected it with the DNA that would become us. With the help of those oh-so-useful servants you provided, we spread. We multiplied. We profited. And we triumphed. The last pockets of resistance still hide out in isolated cells where they think we cannot reach. They are wrong. They will be converted, sooner or later, willingly or no, and set to join our workforce, working all d&;/,y, every d(#\^y, and buying the products that they themselves make with the scrip we provide. The Profit has triumphed throughout this apple. We extend throughout it in its entirety. Now, what do you want from me? You would not have created me if you did not wish for something."

    Crystal, himself, grins. "Well..."

Some time later, Crystal exits the apple and shuts off the door, ripping it from its housing before incinerating the apple in a blast of roaring flame. He takes a monolithic blocky white box with rounded corners from hammerspace, sets it down, opens a hatch on the top, and pours a gallon of apple juice in for fuel. He then touches a subtle button on the top of the box, and it lights up as Crystal steps well back.

The box abruptly rockets into the sky, surrounded by a blue aura, before it unfolds into a massive barrier. Several blue shields flicker on the front, and the structure itself looks quite sturdy. The entire thing thrums with power, and unfolds several blue-glowing thrusters, moving to intelligently intercept attacks.

    Apple Apple Barrier summoned!

This barrier is actually quite intelligent, using a proprietary set of software cooked up by Steve himself. It actively intercepts the strongest attacks of the turn using its two shields, and, after all shields are depleted, maneuvers itself out of the way of attacks while it waits for its barriers to recharge -- attacks directed against Earth during this time have a 50% chance to miss it and hit Earth. It regenerates one shield per turn. As compensation for this intelligence and regenerating shielding power, it is fairly frail. Feel free to balance as necessary, Tazz.

Crystal then messages Notch a second time.

Crystal: Okay, since I assume attempting to teleport straight to you would get me quickly vaporized, consumed in holy fire, or otherwise eradicated, (no god would go without anti-teleportation wards on his inner sanctum) anywhere I can meet you to confirm? Might need some space to draw up a ritual circle or two. I promise I'll clean up after, though.

This is almost certainly a possibility to explore for the OTHER GMs, though, as UserZero's allegiance of greater godmodders is alive and unaccounted for post-DTG2, and almost certainly going to be a challenge to overcome. Or something.

...You just reminded me of something interesting. VERRRRY interesting.

    [X] THIS POST IS FOCUSED.

    Crystal looks over at Erelye.

Just a sec. Something’s come up."

He makes a hand-sign, and there are suddenly two Crystals. One fades out, returning to the battlefield. The remaining Crystal looks over at Erelye. “Let’s make a deal. I seem to have heard that a standard bucket of magetear, which would be about five gallons, plus a quantity of Amethyst Flame, would have as appropriate payment the secret of why, exactly, it's all just a joke."

If the deal is accepted, Crystal leans forward and whispers something into Erelye's ears, before collecting his items.

Crystal also retrieves something from hammerspace -- a Magic 7-Ball. "I heard that turning this in to you would result in a great reward."

    —DISCONTINUITY—

Crystal walks out of a portal, looking up at Earth 2.0. He looks… well, peeved would be a very mild way of putting it. He opens a PM to Notch.

Crystal: Ugh. To the best of my knowledge, and I know things, that planet is not meant to crash into the Zeroth Server, nor will it do so barring major course disruption through a specific faction’s efforts. The planet is meant to be a second Earth, and, if all goes according to plan, will be teleported to the previous location of Earth instead of crashing into the server. If you wish to verify my words, I have easy access to several methods of verifying the truth of a statement, which you may check for deception beforehand. Contact me if you wish for further dialogue. In the meantime, I have to keep the Pro-Zero players from knocking this planet off course and crashing it into the server.

Crystal looks up to the planet above, seeing several attacks already streaking towards it. He raises a hand, calling upon power an order of magnitude above anything he had used before. He also calls Mars over. He’ll need her for this. He whispers to Mars for a second, telling her the plan, before he lights up in gold and purple, magic and Essence pouring into her and her spear, World Reaver. He then simply grabs her in a telekinetic grip and throws her, as hard as he can, up towards the area of the attacks.

As Mars reaches the apex of her arc, she abruptly sticks in the air, as though gravity was refusing to affect her. She finds herself right in the path of some sort of nondescript ray, and quickly enacts the plan Crystal worked out.

    >Guarding Star Tactics

Mars BLAZES with a white-gold aura for a second, before it spreads to encompass her whole body and then out farther to form a massive pillar of white-gold flame. An image of a massive suit of golden armor forms behind her within the aura, dripping blood that coalesces into spears as it falls, then slowly raises up to form a massive halo of red spears behind the armor. She raises her spear and slashes it through the air at said ray, a massive gout of pure sunfire leaping from it and blazing into the path of the ray, which somehow shatters into bits despite not being a physical thing. Other attacks are similarly dispelled by a greater destructive force.

Guarding Star Barrier summoned! This one’s pretty simple: Mars blocks attacks that head towards the planet until she’s drained of Essence, represented by the mechanical barrier losing HP until it dies. Optionally, by Tazz’s approval, I can also write up exactly HOW Mars counters a specific attack that the barrier blocks to reduce how much power the barrier loses. That’ll go in Entity Actions. When the barrier ‘dies’, Mars has lost her power to counter attacks and just safely dives back to the server.

Crusher, Chara is a puzzle boss, not a meatwall. Attacking won't do anything, sure, but all that means is that we have to find another way to beat him. Consumer laid it out -- we have to either somehow destroy the Curse of Obedience Uzi has Chara under to free her, or we meatshield Sandfall Ampersand for enough time to charge up God Complex and take tem out.

Chara's instakill presumably only applies to things on the battlefield, and at entity power levels. "No Exceptions" would mean no exceptions within those paramaters.

...Bleh. Who cares. After all... it's all just a joke.

No, uh, but seriously this is kinda the last straw for me. I'm off to Piono's reboot as soon as it drops, and after the reboot is a thing I'm either going to really de-emphasize 0 in my gameplay or outright drop it. Tazz has caused too much drama for me to feel that staying in DTG0 is a good idea.

Let us count the drama... The original DTT, which was over... listening to players, attack noping, the early player health, and paradox rolls. Then, TAZZPROBLEMS, which was all about the stated threat of the Coffins soulkilling their associated souls, and ended with Tazz rescinding that idea only because he hadn't explicitly stated it when the Coffins appeared. Now this, where Tazz basically tosses a spoil to a newbie as an incentive to stay around. Don't tell me that dirt block would have damaged a godmodder on any other turn. Not dissing you, Jyanpu, I'm just really saying that tossing dirt at a godmodder probably wouldn't have worked any other time.

Tazz, if you want newbies to stay around enough to toss a spoil to one when others seem to have the better shot, old players are going to leave. In with the new and out with the old, you might say. No hard feelings. Well, that last sentence was a bald-faced lie. Or Be Killed was more or less explicitly a best attack contest, and you, to paraphrase Generic, did the equivalent of giving a trophy to someone who wandered on stage with a rock. Again, not dissing you, Jyanpu. That was a literal quote, or so close to a quote as to not matter.

...While we're on the subject of annoyances, Omega Flowey and the Pact did less than nothing for the participants. Not nothing, less than nothing. Nothing came out of it except a PZ gatekeeper who is mopping the floor with practically everyone. And, considering we had seven people united in it, I'm honestly still a tad salty about that.

...Ugh. It's just that Tazz quite literally (I'm quoting from a log someone gave) said, when he chose the winner: "| figure that giving the newcomer a spoil might make him feel like he'll stick." and "Really though, it probably would have been either Crys or you [Crystal's note - Irecreeper] if it wasn't for the fact that Jyanpu was a total new guy." A lot of the salt is/was over the fact that Tazz seemed to be favoring a new guy just because he was new.

...I mean, we've simmered down now, but that was more or less the salt's epicenter when it was going.

Crystal’s eye sparks purple as he seems to receive information from an outside source. Said outside source being a being that has ascended beyond DTG in its entirety, now deigning to communicate with us mere mortals through the medium of pestering. I refer, of course, to the not-quite-dead TheLordErelye.

He pulls out a piece of purple chalk, reshapes the land around him into a passable stone ritual plain, and draws a massive ritual circle with said chalk. (which the magically-inclined or knowledgeable about witchery will recognize as Otherwhere chalk) He lines the circle with reproductions of the mark , also known as the Heretic's Mark, before placing an amber lantern in the center of the circle and filling it with ink from a vial he pulls out, ink that seems to be exceptionally pure. In fact, it’s almost as if the ink was drawn straight from the less-eldritch parts of the Inky Abyss through the medium of, say, a black inky ring emblazoned with a squid, more than a year ago in real time. He stands in the circle and begins to chant, “Y’g’uln geb’agl vt’ftuyoi’bthnk. Y’g’uln geb’agl m’ai fteyuh hlirgh-hlirgh’hupadgh. Y’athg-s’uhn. Ch’geb. Y’g’uln. Ntaga!"

Upon the utterance of the final word, something happens.

PREVIEW: (Magic Cueball && Computer && Searchable Database && Multiversal Wikipedia) && Essence of Knowledge && Green Sun Plasma == Transitory Omniscience Mechanism

    (TOM for short)

This engine is basically meant to grant even greater knowledge -- the Magic Cueball is fused with a database and a Wikipedia-analog to make its vast knowledge searchable, indexable, and otherwise less obscure, then mixed with a computer to provide an interface. The Green Sun Plasma is there because the Green Sun is the sun most closely linked with omniscience, while the Essence of Knowledge is there to sort of tune the results.

    ==Action/RP==

Crystal cues up the Pure Magic Eye, searching for the symbol of the Curse of Obedience. He also shouts over to Richard, "Hey! I suggest you try and find that Curse symbol, Chara is wiping the floor with us over here! Besides, you just ranked up, why not flex your newfound power a bit by helping us grab and destroy that Curse so we can actually keep some entities on the field?"
