I'd just hate for random people reading the thread to be tempted to grief because they know they'll get their efforts publicised for others to gawk at. If this is the easiest way to deal with it, that's okay but it was just a thought.
It depends on which way you look at it. they might see someone get banned and rollbeck'd for it and see that it's pointless. I don't know how else I can do it.
Is posting evidence of griefing (screenshots) on the forum a good idea? Just thinking - I'd hate to think we're giving griefers a showcase of their work here. Might end up encouraging others.
I was under the impression that posting here allowed the problem to be resolved instantly should a mod/admin come online while me and ron3434 (the only two who know of the grief) were offline. Now the mods and admins can see it and rollback the damage, nullifying all the 'effort' that went into the grief.
That's my view. On the old forum I believe there was a section for reports. posting it here saves me sending it to every mod and admin or bugging Tschagg with PMs.
ya for my pc restrictin it to one core helps it run better, and i either use default of tschaggs pack which is 32x
Is the normal one 16x16 I can't remmember... Anyway it can't curt to try 1024 - 2024 Idk if any higher will even help anyways. It's the earlier parts that help most.
Nice guide joe . i didnt know about the batch file part ( what would u recommend for 6 gm of ram?) and it also helps if when u are changing the priority, to set the affinity to 0 only (only for multicore computers)
Do you use a texture pack? what resolution?
Any by 'affinity 0' do you mean restrict Minecraft to one core?
3. Run this program every time you are about to open Minecraft.
NOTE: Be sure to return to normal mode after gameplay as not doing so may affect the functionality of your PC.
PART B:
1. Once Minecraft is open, do Ctrl+Alt+Del and open Task Manager
2. In Task Manager navigate to the 'Processes' tab.
3. If Minecraft is running 'javaw.exe' should be at the top of the list, right click and select 'set priority'.
4. Click 'above normal' and clock through the warning, nothing bad has happened to me (yet).
NOTE: this will have to be repeated every time you run Minecraft I don't know how to make it permanent.
PART C:
There is one last thing that may help, this is allocating more memory to Minecraft while it runs. This is usually only beneficial when using 'HD' texture packs however will sometimes help anyway.
The way we increase memory is by creating a text file with the following:
javaw -Xmx[INSERT]m -Xms[INSERT]m -jar "PATH TO WHERE MINECRAFT IS\Minecraft.exe
Xmx = max mem. Xms = min mem.
Use number here relative to your total RAM.
I recommend:
1GB of RAM: Do not change settings.
2GB of RAM: min: 512mb max: 1024mb
3GB of RAM: min: 512mb max: 1024mb
4GB of RAM: min: 1024mb max: 2024mb
and so on...
1. Always make sure that your PC or laptop or whatever is well ventilated while running, especially whilst playing a game. Poor airflow can cause a computer to overheat and eventually reduce lifetime.
2. Run regular maintenance on your computer. Defrags, registry cleans, delete unwanted files and check that there are no unwanted programs running at startup. If you don't know about these things I recommend you go and learn them.
3. Another obvious one is not to multitask on a rubbish low powered computer, keep all other programs closed during gameplay.
4. Tweak the pagefile to 1.5x your RAM, there are plenty of guides out there.
OTHER:
Iestynator said me went from 3fps to 25fps with PART A&B and it helps me when I'm not near my beastly quad-core and I'm stuck with my laptop.
Please tell me if there are other things I forgot or if what I've stated is questionable, Thanks.
I have a question to ask Tschagg, an admin or a mod.
I let a player, mardew, live in my spare room but told him not to build in my garden, he acknowledged but I think he's confused about where my garden was. He's put builds there that I don't want but I'm sure he wasn't griefing.
His builds ^^
I want to know if I can destroy the originals because I've made exact replicas here:
they are very close by to the originals and are exactly the same, I'd appreciate permission to do this as I don't want another person's build in my front garden. I have tried to ask mardew permission to do this but I seem to keep missing him while I'm revising.

Thanks, I made a new Tschagg on the island now, I call him "Tschagg".

His build in the nether was griefed in the last 24 hrs of this post.
^^ Coordinates and evidence. Getting griefed feels like a big "FU!", especially in this case; I'm sure it will be resolved soon.

1. Download Iobit's Game Booster at: http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html
2. Install

I use the following (I have 8GB of RAM):
javaw -Xmx4096m -Xms2048m -jar "C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft\Minecraft.exe
The last step is to save the file as .bat and run it, the command box may be closed when Minecraft is open, it should look like this...
A more comprehensive guide can be found below and I recommend looking at it:
