I guess there was a significant amount of bugfixing this preview because the problems I had before are no longer happening! I tested my realms server for 10-15 minutes (yes, it usually happened much sooner than that) and no crashes. I zoomed around in the air and sprinted on foot, no crashing. Thank you, sp614x for the continued support of our crappy computers! Even if Mojang is starting to abandon us we can all count on you.

Just an update, no turning off Random Mobs does not stop the incessant crashes. I've had it crash on both Linux os running ubuntu and a Windows 7 with the exact same symptoms. This crash doesn't occur when playing single player but like many people who bought Minecraft, we didn't intend on playing it single player. This crash occurs most frequently when moving quickly through the world. Sprinting, flying, horseback riding, and boat riding all cause it. The game completely crashes and we are taken to the crash report screen containing this error:

My wife's name has been erased to protect her Minecraft account. This is the seemingly the same error I get using my computer which runs Windows 7 and doesn't even have the same brand GPU. Mine is a Radeon and hers is Nvidia. She never uses resource packs and plays pure vanilla aside for when I install Optifine. Minecraft is practically unplayable for her without it so this is a pretty big deal for her. I'm not demanding an immediate fix or any of that nonsense. I understand this probably isn't an easy task. I just want you, the creator, and everyone else to know that this error is not fixed by turning off random mobs. There must be a different problem, and as soon as it is found, I'll be here waiting.

Still having the same problem and now it's affecting another computer. My wife's computer isn't even running windows and she never uses resource packs. Optifine was practically her only way to play Minecraft since the more recent updates no longer supported the power of this older PC. It does help, but she gets crashes when moving too quickly as well. It's interesting that this crash is affecting two completely different rigs, one with nvidia and the other with radeon gpu and one using Linux (Ubuntu) and the other using Windows (windows 7). As soon as I get a chance I'll post her crash report in this comment.

I can't recreate it in single player but I kinda want to use optifine while also playing on my Realms server. Loading between two profiles is a little annoying. I know the crash report says I'm using the DokuCraft resource pack but I've consistently gotten the same crash without any resource packs so it must not be that.

I am the owner of the server and have only played it vanilla for its entire existence up til now. I have already attempted what you have suggested, DaBlizz.
I didn't expect to get a response from the creator! Thanks for the input but I just now got another crash seemingly the same as before even with random mobs turned off. This is so frustrating since if I don't move quickly I don't risk crashing and everything runs so much better. Randomly crashing when playing on Realms is making my big builds unplayable. Anyway, here's the crash report:

I've done more snooping around on my computer and can confirm that I have up to date drivers on everything. So what exactly is my error saying? I can consistently recreate this error with almost 100% accuracy. It seems to only happen when playing on a Minecraft Realms server and only when I'm moving quick enough to be considered sprinting. Here is the most recent crash I've had:

Well I didn't (or at least am not aware of) fixing the post. So whoever... whatever did, thank you. I wrestled with the settings for a while and couldn't fix it myself.

As far as my "catalyst center" is concerned, I have updated drivers. Must be a different problem.

posted a message on Help With Flans Mod Controls
I've been using planes in Flans Mod for a long time now and still remember when mouse controls weren't even thought of yet. When mouse controls were implimented I was pretty excited. The change to the plane physics to actually rotate looked really cool, but unfortunately it was really buggy when it was first launched so I skipped using it, until now. The mouse controls have been cleaned up considerably and has a nice, smooth rotation to it, but I have a problem with them that seems like it should have a really easy solution. THE CONTROLS ARE INVERTED! I can't fly my plane with the mouse if down is up and up is whatever, I just can't do it!

I want the controls to take me up when I move the mouse up and take me down when I move the mouse down, but I can't find an option to change it. This is very frustrating and will keep me from using this mod further since the WASD controls have become too unruly to navigate with all the rolling and pitch changes. What do I need to modify and where do I need to go to reverse the mouse controls for plane flight? I remember in the old days I could go to the planes.properties file and edit individual controls manually, but with it being attached to Forge I can't find where that file would be. It's not on the in-game options (unless I just can't find it) and I'm getting worried that there is no way to change it. Please help!

posted a message on [1.6.4]Four Lords and One More[Survival or whatevs Server]
For the longest time our server has been whitelisted but now with the dawn of a whole new world I am opening it to the public! Temporarily. All who wish to continue playing on the server may do so by following a few basic rules and sending me a message that wish to be whitelisted when the server closes its doors to the public.

For the last days of October we will keep our old world in 1.6.4 for others to explore and have a bit of fun with it until the server resets. We are generating a brand new world for 1.7 and anyone left who wants to continue playing with us can stay as we switch back to a whitelist.

Here is a video on our server a while back. Most of the builds shown in this video have actually changed slightly and there is definitely more in our server than what is shown. If you see somewhere you would like to go to then send me a message in game and I can take you to it! :iapprove:

Now the server info. Yeah, you sorta need that dontcha?

    IP:
    216.172.97.29:25725

Time for the official boring stuff:

My Minecraft name is Craelon and I am the owner, admin, and operator. Mostly, I play in survival but I will do what it takes to make sure the players who join my server are having fun. Our server is a simple one with simple expectations and simple rules. We mostly keep in contact with the minecraftforum here or, if you are ok with it, we've given each other our Steam names to stay in contact.

The other players that, while not necessarily admins/op, are people I trust with helping the server run smoothly. These players are the ones who have played with me since the very beginning of the server:
    yodamaster
    whoamme
    aranceis
    odaille

    Rules:
    1. Play in survival unless you are given permission by me (craelon) to be in any other gamemode.

    2. No griefing, please. We work hard on our builds both survival and creative. Destroying another player's hard work is neither accepted nor forgivable. You will be banned. This does not necessarily mean no explosions or traps if you're of the devious type, it just means that if you see someone's house or structure don't do anything to it to delibrately make the mad or take their blocks.

    3. No mods that otherwise give you an extreme edge on the basic gameplay of Minecraft. This rule is handled on a case by case basis. If you want Zombe's fly mod then I won't stop you. That's a subtle mod with only slight benefits given to you and you alone. Use it all you want. However, I don't want to find someone x-raying the world to find diamonds as that can ruin the enjoyment for other players trying to find them legitimately. Tell me what mods you want to use and I'll decide if they are acceptable. Sorry it's not more specific but I don't want to waste my time making a list of acceptable or nonacceptable mods. Use this as a basic rule- if the mod can ruin someone else's fun then don't use it.

    4. PvP is not against the rules but bullying will not be tolerated. If two or more players wanna battle it out for items or just because you're bored then go right ahead. Fighting other players in Minecraft is something I think keeps the game fresh for multiplayer. However, if you are fighting someone who does not want to fight, generally being underhanded in the match, or killing someone over and over again with them crying out for you to stop then you will be reprimanded. It will be up to me and the other veteran players as to your sentence. Anywhere from losing the items in your inventory/chests to being completely banned.

    5. Respect other player's build space. We aren't implementing any plugins to regulate this and I've never had to. Everyone that currently plays on my server understands this rule and has never even come close to breaking it. Hopefully, it will be common sense for everyone else to not build 1 block away from someone else's incomplete building. If there is a conflict as to the ownership of a specific plot of land (which shouldn't happen since the Minecraft world is LARGER THAN EARTH) then I will work with the fueding parties to find a compromise.

    6. No begging. This is usually just a rule for kids (or so I've come to see...). Don't be an annoying brat asking to have your way every 5 minutes. You come to my server to play Minecraft. That means doing things the hard way. Dig your own diamonds. Win your own battles. Deal with the night and all its monsters. Fight the Ender Dragon with your own tools. You won't be given any privileges just because you're loud and annoying.

    7. Please don't build a million Nether Portals. If you want to build a personal portal then that's find, or if you want to portal your way out to make a quick mode of travel then go ahead. Any player who has played Minecraft before should be able to tell how much is too much. Portals every 8 blocks or portals connected to other portals in the same spot will be destroyed. You will not get your blocks back nor will I shed a tear for your lost items. There will eventually be an official "server portal" for the public to use in 1.7 but if you want to make your own when the update drops before the server gets the official one just remember that the portal exit is public property, not your own personal one. A Nether Portal building on the other side will be built for safety of everyone playing so don't build too close to it in the Nether.

    8. This one is obvious. Don't use mods or bugs to dupe items. You will be banned.

This server has been very laid back since its creation and I expect it to continue with that. Occasionally I throw in the Last Airbender plugin just for fun but due to it not updating in a timely manner I've since removed it. It may come back one day and you can choose to use it if you wish. I don't like having to use plugins for simple things like policing the players or using it for warp spots now that Minecraft can do it vanilla. You'll find that I'm quite lenient on many matters and I only really ever ask you to be honest with me. There's no need to lie about using a mod because, hey, I might allow it. Just be kind, even when owning PvP noobs, and be honest to not only me but everyone else on the server and we'll all have a good time playing with the world of Notch.

I hope you all will have fun exploring the last days of our old server and join us to make a great new world!

Is there any chance that this will be updated to 1.5 soon?

    Quote from CzerPL

    i wanna 1.5 too

Give him time, I'm sure TheBlockMonkey is aware that Minecraft is updated to 1.5.1 by now. It's not like We're asking this from someone who doesn't play the game. After bringing this mod back from the dead we're lucky to see it at all.

Great amazing mod but is there any way to teleport to waypoints, if not that would be an amazing addition.

There is. In the command line type /tp [yourname] [x y z]
x, y, and z = the coordinates of the waypoint you set. This is a normal vanilla Minecraft command. Since you can see what the coordinates of the waypoints are you can easily teleport there using the built in command.

there is a problem with the text on markers. one marker is fine but the text usually gets unreadable as soon as you show another marker.

    example:

I have this problem too, but I don't have any other mods installed. I've just updated to 1.5 and so far only Rei's Minimap is installed on my client.

It looks like you've just been PHOTOBUCKET'D! Why did you use that site anyway? It's terrible. Just make a crappy deviantart page or something and upload pictures from there. Now fee, no size limit, no BS.

posted a message on Colored Glass and Colored Light! (originally Just the 'Colored Glass!' topic but Mojang added our idea! :D Congrats everyone!)
I agree that this needs to be in vanilla Minecraft. However, with the current problems lighting keeps getting (which have snowballed from update to update) I think they should first focus on smoothing it out. Maybe when there are absolutely no lighting errors at all we can think about getting colored glass with lighting changes. It's a great idea and I think Mojang would be very stupid to not at least consider it but I also think they are way off from being able to successfully implement this idea.
