Don't be aggressive towards the developer, the new Minecraft update is what broke this mod; wait until the mod is updated and it will be fixed. Until then, use the 'Force Update' option in the Minecraft launcher and it will replace the edited minecraft.jar file with a clean one and you won't have any more issues.

Before someone complains, you should credit Jolicraft for the leaves... and yes, some of the people here will complain about a single texture.

Inside the 'lang' folder in the texture pack or minecraft.jar, there will be a file called 'en_US.lang'; open that in a text editing application and you can change the 'tool-tip' text.

posted a message on Advanced Mob spawning
I like the idea, but this could be problematic with dungeons. When you're in one, since they're so small, you almost always see the entire thing and thus no monsters would spawn. It might be a possibility, however, to code the mob spawner to ignore this behavior and spawn things normally.

Since you take half of a heart of damage for every fall you take to get to the next floor, it would be impossible to get past round 20 even without taking damage from NPCs. This is an easy fix, just place a block below each hole so that you only fall three blocks and not four.

posted a message on Vote for your favourite Minecraft Texture Pack Here!
Unfortunately this is already looking like it's gonna turn into a bunch of people who are only loyal to one pack voting down all of the others in hopes of their choice getting higher on the list or for some other reason. I hope that I'm wrong.

Awesome! I think the original artist is okay with them being used in here, but you should probably look stuff up for proper crediting, just to be on the safe side!

I assure you, I am trying my best to make sure everyone gets there credit.

Haha, Eld's just being clever with his words. He's the one that made the armor.

    Not scaled...

    Scaled.

Same thing, different resolution! They both should look the same in-game.

Oh, and sorry for saying that you need to scale your whole pack before; you only need to scale your terrain file. From what I remember, Xau's patcher will still make 16x16 texture sheets work even though there are higher resolution files in the same pack.

You need to adjust your whole texture pack to match the resolution of the torch. You can still keep the tiles looking the same as they were at the default resolution, but keep in mind that you'll need Xau's Texture Patcher to make it work correctly in-game. You may also need to adjust the torch to match the supported resolutions by the patcher.

C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\Application Data\.minecraft\bin (If you can't find application data, then go to Tools > Folder Options > View and turn "Show hidden files and folders" on.)

From here, open the minecraft.jar file with a program like WinZip. If you don't have that, download 7zip at http://www.7zip.org. From there, you just drag your terrain file into the window showing the contents of minecraft.jar. Make sure you back up your original terrain file first if you don't have the original already.

If you just installed the program and get a error about not being able to install the previewer:

When is asks you where to download the previewer from enter this URL instead of just clicking ok change it to this URL instead:
    https://dl.dropbox.com/u/15956363/skintest2.jar

This is because it normally downloads the previewer from minecraft.net which is down right now.

Wow, I couldn't find that file anywhere. Thanks!

You can use SkinEdit for that. :wink.gif:

Tried. It failed to download the file used for the preview multiple times.
