Alright Canadian, I followed your advice. Didn't work. Whenever I start Minecraft Server.exe in 192, the server properties file ALWAYS RESETS to the original copy, despite the fact I press SAVE at the speed of light.
Are there any other possible fixes? Neko, do you know of this problem? D:
I don't have that issue. Let us see your server properties contents before it gets rewritten.
I cant finish this right now but i will later so i will save this to not lose any work.
Lobby:
How about when you log in to Minecraft, you will log into a map (let's call it Lobby for now) no matter what and there is a single (maybe few) NPC's behind a desk or something. This map would be completely uneditable and would also serve as a spawn point for everyone (or something like that).
The NPC's would help by standing around and stuff.... make it look official. When you click one of them (or a certain one of them) it will display a list of available multiplayer servers, with filters to sort them. There would also be a "Single Player " button where it will give you options like the usual "generate/load map".
Perhaps the most favorited multiplayer maps will have a portal somewhere nearby for quick access. Multiplayer servers can be classified as "Survival" or "Creative" and can be filtered out as such in the list.
Multiplayer Survival Issue:
I think, and I believe most will agree that there has to be some sort of saving function in multiplayer Survival (let's call it "mindev" for now). Saving is necessary for when we have to go to sleep, get disconnected, etc.
Saving in mindev should contain information about inventory items, mostly. Spawnpoints are not as important, but it is a plus.
Controversial Money Issue:
Money is important to any survival game. You might say bartering is sufficient but
Hm, why don't we just have a money system that is not tangible? maybe a $XXXX counter in a corner of the HUD and people can see how much money they have.
Basically to do business it would be a trade screen where you can trade X items for X items and X money according to whatever they can offer. Then both sides would accept the trade and the deal is done.
To get the money there would have to be some sort of NPC in an area where you can sell things to, maybe in a lobby you can go to or something. I should start my own thread.

sorry, I havent finished yet
I'm pretty sure that is fList connecting to everybody's servers periodically to check out the motd and name and take a snapshot. It does this so that it can provide info on fList to every server (not just the custom ones).
Close, the name and MOTD are sent in the heartbeat to flist. It is agreeably getting a snapshot of the main map, it should soon hopefully be able to snapshot all maps.
Some vanilla servers have name and motd and snapshots already.
Lately, I've been noticing a few different IP's connecting to my server, then a few seconds to a minute later, they disconnect. No username is logged. Here's some examples:
(19:29:10) 99.198.122.47 connected.
(19:29:10) New Connection
(19:29:15) 99.198.122.47 disconnected.
(16:10:48) 97.106.86.75 connected.

Because MinerCPP is now pretty much dead in the water.
If you followed the thread the makers of MinerCPP decided it was altogether too unstable and decided to rewrite it from scratch with Lua plugins support. It is called LuaCraft and you can find them at http://www.minipenguin.com/.
Gotta love the bookmarks.
What I mean by the "asdasd" is that it is the same as before.
I log in and it spams me with "unknown command 'asdasd'!"
It spams me the moment I log in.
Still have users trying to connect to my server and getting the "You must login!" Error. I found that as long as I'm on the server, no one ever gets this error.
My map is fine size for MCSharp, but is there any way I can let people in without this error when I'm not in my server?

Get a smaller main map.
