posted a message on Looking for 1.14 - 1.14.4 "Inventory Tweaks" like mod.

Would be awesome. I didn't know it was open... Doesn't matter. My current gaming rig has no room on the drive to develop right now. my main computer is boxed during this long term move. If you happen to do this, let me know? Would be awesome of you.

posted a message on Looking for 1.14 - 1.14.4 "Inventory Tweaks" like mod.

I have found one mod, Inventory Sorter to help sort things, but what I miss, is the part of the mod that swapped in items once depleted. When I go on long mining runs, it was nice that the broken pickaxe would be replaced by a new one out of my inventory. That is not in Inventory Sorter. Is there one I am missing like "Inventory Tweaks"? I would like to keep using it, but it is not updated to 1.14.4 yet, and I have already pretty much moved on.

I would have to say right. The left building is a little too busy for my taste, but depending on what would be surrounding it or what kind of aesthetic you are looking for. In the end, it's your choice.

posted a message on error: Lack of updated graphics drivers - SOLVED

Just went into the UEFI bios in the Peripherals section, there was an item called Initial Display Output and the value was set to PCIe 1 Slot, the other option being inFX, so it appears that video is indeed controlled by the discrete card.

Then the only thing left is to force remove any current video drivers and reinstall AMD's package form their site:

http://support.amd.com/fr-fr/download/desktop?os=Windows 7 - 64 (If I recognized the localization of your DxDiag log)

for Catalyst 15.7.1 & Graphics Driver Installer for Windows 7 64-bit

Try your best to do this from Safe Mode. This works better most times.

I would try downloading and installing the AMD drivers direct from the website first.

Is this a fresh install of Windows?

Make sure you are plugged into your dedicated GPU and not the one on the motherboard. If you can find the info, it may be necessary to force dedicated GFX and ensure the on-board is turned off. I had the same issue with ASUS F2A85M-PRO when I first got it. A BIOS update resolved that issue for me.

:EDIT: I should expand on my explanation. in your DxDiag dump, it looks like the system is referencing basic VGA drivers still: Line 46: "Carte graphique VGA standard"

posted a message on I saw a post going on now about Wizards and Wands, but I had it all figured out when me and my friend talked about this.

They would be overpowered because you already have enchantable armor and weapons. Bows are strong enough to handle mobs, so that will rule out the need for a "fireball spell". Levitation destroys the exploration and obstacle challenges. List goes on. The current game is fine without spells and is balanced for not having them.

That's the first thing that comes to mind.

posted a message on Minecraft Launcher takes forever to load profiles.

    @PonyPrincess69

It's an interesting issue... Do you by chance have an antivirus program installed? Anything with something along the lines of "sandbox"? I bring this up because some AV programs that also include some kind of system protection will sometimes sandbox a program and it doesn't run 100% correctly. If you receive a message upon running a game about allowing it to do something, if you trust it, allow it.

I'll have to ponder on your issue some. I have yet to see this kind of problem, even after reinstalling Minecraft.

May be unrelated, but since it says guest, I take it you have not logged into your profile yet...what kind of internet do you have? Is your computer wireless or wired?

Okay, I thought I mentioned you cannot craft this. You will find the book and the wands in the places listed in the post.

and ya, I agree. too long of a title :D how do you change it?

    "Standard Galactic Alphabet" Sounds, spacey.

No support from some people my answer, ;-; you just posted a comment No support. rly?

Look up Commander Keen. It's a set of old DOS games I played as a kid.

No support...and support...no opinion yet. Your idea needs to be more fleshed out and fit more nicely with the current XP, crafting and enchanting mechanic already in the game. There also needs to be a reason for this kind of thing. I don't see a reason brought up yet. You cannot expect someone to support an idea that is not fully fleshed out or thought over. Getting support for an idea requires some time spent on it, not an idea you had over a sandwich at lunch. Take people's comments as constructive criticism and feedback, edit your original post and build your idea from those posts. If you cannot take the honesty, don't make suggestions.

    What do i do then?

Try to completely remove the driver and re-install it. The driver could also be borking due to system stability issues as the hardware can't keep up.

posted a message on Is singleplayer dead?

I haven't logged into a multiplayer server since 1.8 Beta. I would say SIngle-player is still very much alive considering many other people still upload videos playing single-player as Creative, Survival or Adventure. There is a tendency for the younger demographic to be brought up on playing a lot of multi-player games to stick with it. For them, gaming is a much deeper social interaction and to them, that's all it's for. I've been playing video games since the NES was released, and mostly prefer single-player. When XBox was released, I purchased Mechwarrior and tried multi-player and got an earful form a bunch of "13 year-olds" telling me what they were doing with my mom and where I can put my controller. Put me off of multi-player games for some time.

I play video games mostly for the entertainment value. Sometimes I'll get social. Not much ;)

But Linux, ubuntu and stuff are less likely to get rekt from a virus, waay less than windows

    Quote from Meister_Lucas»

There may be some ppl that develop viruses for Linux, but way less than Windows. Also, i wont need the antivirus working everytime.

the problem is: I need to open the terminal to do everything (even install Java), at least in Ubuntu 15.4 (Mate)

It's still a dangerous mindset to have. Best to get an AV that reads all incoming files to your system so as to not share thos einfections that would affect other users on Windows.

The command line is used even in Windows, and Macs. You'll find Linux is very similar to Macs int hat respect, as Mac was originally sourced from BSD way back when. A lot of design choices are still around. Macs are seeing a rise in infections as they become increasingly popular. So are Linux systems. Always be cautious and you'll be fine.

Correct. I love the buttery smoothness vanilla gives me on this system. Optifine/MCPatcher alone still gives me that high framerate, just lets me up the texture pack if I desired.

SSD drives do help with games that have lots of disk reads and writes. It also helps in systems with lower physical memory that depends on swap files/spaces.

Final analysis, enjoy vanilla, it really is not that bad and put some consideration into something a bit beef-ier to play on.

I use Comodo for all security. Does a really decent job, but you have to jump through hoops to allow traffic through the firewall and other security measures. I always suggest people disable all security (this includes Window's security) and see if things work after. If it does, you know where to start.

Be careful. You can still spread virus/malware to other people. And that is a myth. Any electronic device can suffer from them.

ai know i can install mods, but can i copy the world?

Yes. You can copy from OS to OS. The save files are the same on both Windows and Linux platforms.
