The Dimension API is not compatible with Minecraft Forge, just a notice if you are using that. Also make sure you have the correct versions of everything, and installed the Dimension API properly.
I am not using Minecraft Forge, and the way I installed it is I imported the source into net.minecraft.src using Eclipse.
I use Eclipse Juno on Windows Vista Business SP1 if somehow Eclipse has a glitch with importing with that version.
It gives errors, even with nothing using the Dimension API.
