I have to say freakstritch, this is definitely my favorite mod out of all the ones I use.
If I could make a recommendation though...
The longevity of this mod comes from the randomly generated Pyramids by far, for me.
I will play for long stretches at a time just exploring the world looking for them to conquer, by making caves in the nether that cover the whole map.
My recommendation would be to add more types randomly generated adventure buildings.
I haven't really seen this in other mods and it really does add a ton to the game.
Maybe things like...
-Thieves hideout. ~an underground compound populated by thieves where you can find the mass of goodies they have.
(The area is filled with thieves which will steal things from you including your weapons which will
make surviving this area very challenging.)
-The factory battles. ~Two rival factories near eachother battle it out. One factory is populated by Tods, the other by Teds. They exit each factory and fight in the battlefield between them.
(Each has it's own treasure and atom fields will make finding you're way to the
top floor more dangerous than the already lethal robots.)
-The lawyer's skyscraper. ~A skyscraper maze populated by lawyers. Kill the CEO to take all the cash.
(As lawyer's are not in the game, I'm unsure how this challenge might be done)
-Black pyramid. ~A larger obsidian pyramid filled with only Black Souls.
(This pyramid has the added challenge of lava pits with platforming elements.)
-Invisible mansion. ~A building you can not see bit must traverse by guessing where it is safe to go.
(A few invisible men have made an invisible home. Treasure is somewhere within the maze but you can
not see the walls. The treasure is covered in a cloak *blocks covering it* so you can't see where it
is. The underground home has areas you could fall in.)
These are just a few ideas off the top of my head, but as an adventuring type minecraft player, I would love to see many more types of challenging buildings. randomly generated above ground and underground.
Thanks for taking the time to look at this, and thanks again for making the best mod out there. ^^
Those are great ideas - I will definitely expand these randomly generated structures in future versions. The beginnings of the Jail are in this update, which will be expanded for 2.0
I agree that these structures add a lot to gameplay, so they will evolve as the mod does.
Will the guinea pig battles be developped more?I'm scared to risk my furry friends in battle even with diamond armor and tons of food,if you could have two guinea pigs train with eachother, slowly gaining exp instead of intense to-the-death combat it would please a lot of people.Or even a small inventory to deposit food that they use when wounded,so you don't have to panically try to click them, eating valuable food,as they die because it's to fast-paced to actually click them in combat.
that would be very nice! but, if they could train together and have a little inventory, wouldn't that get a bit too easy then? but if they'd actually get hurt by eachother while training it would be different, cause you would still need to feed them then etc.
don't know, it just would become a bit to easy i think, maybe it's a better idea to add 1 or 2 new mobs wich are very weak, so you can train better on them with your guinea pigs.
or a new item - something like a scarecrow / puppet. you can place it and the guinepigs will train on them. they are made out of wheat, a lot of wheat, and they can "hand out" a certain amount of xp, and then they destroy themself, they won't drop the item. but if you destroy them with hand they will drop it, so you can place it again somewhere else.
2.0 will feature at least Hotdog heaven and Superdog. Probably an expansion of the Jail system to include a trial and judge and warden. Also, an ingame GUI, so no more config file! Probably some other stuff too early to tell which creep will be next.
haha xD i have ichun's portalmod, and i made a portal in the village to go home xD i didnt erase them and a woman came in my house xD or well, in my tent (campcraft). and i didnt have much space ;s it took me some time to push her back xD
Is there a fast way to "fill" lava blocks with air? I keep running into massive lava pools at the bottom layers of the map which interconnect with each other and take massive amounts of time to erase in MCEdit or fill with gravel in Minecraft. I'd mine them for obisidian with water if that didn't take even more time and effort to do so! 15 seconds per block of obsidian is rather slow, it's easier to do obisidian structures bigger than a portal in MCEdit anyway.
If it's possible to make a feature request I'd like to see a "flood fill" tool - basically it could select adjacent blocks that are next to the same block type until it can't find any more blocks connected to whichever one I click on, and then fill the blocks in with whatever material type I select.
Cheers ...

you can replace all lava with air. just select the area in wich you want the lava to be replaced with air, click on the "fill" tool, on the left in the little popup click on "replace". then put lava and air in, and all lava will be replaced with air :tongue.gif:
As I said, "a lot of them don't have villagers". It is entirely possible to make buildings with villagers, and I know that myself & Digital War have successfully done this. However, ones like Werzieq's pack are mostly aesthetic, so they're attractive or even viable players homes, but might not have villagers in.
I actually make my own, usually, but I have dabbled with Digital War's core replacement Pack, and Werzieq's pack is quite a large one. w3(r4ft has a big pack with relatively novel buildings, & Seldron made a very nice home for the player, along with a late-stage park which looks quite nice.
could you give me a link to your pack / a pack of wich you know that it is good and it has villagers? :tongue.gif:
Installing custom buildings to Millénaire is quite simple: take your building files (Building_A0.txt, or Building_A.txt & Building_A0.png etc) and place them in the "custom" folder. So long as the person who made them did it right, they should be automatically added to the possible buildings in the "Extras" section when you right-click the top-left panel in your town hall.
Every building plan that's been made since the 0.3 update should work with the current version. Ones made before that & haven't been updated can be made to work with a little bit of effort.
If a building plan is a replacement to a core building, like Digital War's pack, MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE OLD VERSIONS FIRST. So, for example, if you're replacing the Town Halls, remove the old Town Hall files before you place the new ones in. Don't just make them replace the old ones, as this may leave old upgrades that will cause errors.
Also, custom buildings shouldn't make it lag any more than the normal buildings; in fact, as a lot of them don't have villagers, they will cause less lag than the main buildings.
Regarding which to recommend, personally I don't really have a preference.
thnx for the info!
so, costum buildings don't have villagers? so they're just empty buildings? that sucks. isnt there a pack that someone made wich has villagers?...

why not just make ground above elevation 64 :tongue.gif: then the players still spawn underground...
0
select an area, then click the most right tool to create more chunks :wink.gif:
or you can first make a world with minecraft itself, and walk around a bit, and open that world in mcedit :tongue.gif:
nope. that's done on purpose, because otherwise, if you put it under 64, minecraft would randomly put the spawnpoint somewhere else.

MCP = Minecraft Coder Pack. a lot of modders use it to create their mods :wink.gif: but not all modders use it though.

yeah it says 1.5_01, but with tools i don't know if it could also be compatible with newer versions.
