Character Bio: Rob was born on October 31, 1992, in a family leaning on the poor side of society. His father died 3 months before his birth, so he never got a chance to meet him. His 2 older siblings, Heather and George, told him that his father worked as a miner. He was their main source of income and they had a pretty good life. One day there was a cave in and his father died in it. Then their family couldn’t afford anything and they lost their home and way of life, that’s why they were poor. After his father’s death his mother had to work 2 jobs and take care of the kids. She eventually couldn’t spend time with them and was constantly working. Rob had to listen to his two older siblings because they took care of him and Rebecca, his younger sister. When Rob was old enough to go to school, he loved it. The school had free lunch and breakfast so he didn’t go hungry. He also made new friends in a short amount of time. But after a few months of school disaster struck. A twister flattened his family’s house and they had to live in a makeshift house. School was now his only place where he could be happy. In the second grade Rob talents were truly seen, his school had a test coming up to see if you were smart enough to advance to third grade. Rob scored a perfect score! The teachers thought he was a genius because that almost never happens. He was allowed to skip 2 grades! He got into 5th grade when his friends were still in 3rd!
In the fifth grade Rob felt more challenged. At home things were not getting better. His mother kept earning enough to feed him and his siblings, but nothing else. They each had only 3 shirts, 2 pairs of pants, a pair of socks, and a pair of shoes. They were really old and dingy, and it was becoming winter. During the winter times were rough, and his older brother died from sickness. In spring they mourned him but they got more food because he was gone. At the end of elementary school he was guaranteed honors in middle school. His mother was extremely proud of him. She knew Rob was far too intelligent to stay with his family, he would get nowhere here. They lived in a crime filled town in an alley. He had no potential here. He risked his life everyday walking the 3 miles to get to school and the 3 miles back. She planned that on his 21st birth day she would give him 2000 dollars to find his way and start his new life. She went to a bank and started an account for Rob. Rob had no idea of this therefor he couldn’t plan for it or find a city to settle down in. Meanwhile one day Rob was walking around and found an injured dog. AA trash can had fallen on it and it had been crying and whimpering for days. Rob rushed to the dog and picked up the rash can, and it looked like the dog had no major injuries, but it did have some minor cuts, bruises, and a sprained leg. He cleaned up the cuts and got some clean cloth to cover them. He helped the sprained leg and got the dog to the local No-kill shelter. From that point on he knew he wanted to help animals by owning a No-kill shelter and also be a veterinarian. Nothing else major happened that summer except his mother got a promotion in her job and only had to work one job so now she could spend more time with her kids.
In middle school his family got slightly more income and could afford more clothes, and his older sister got a job. Rob had to make new friends due to his old friends being 2 grades behind, and he knew no one else. He joined several clubs/groups and made friends with people in them. School was even better in middle school! Rob got straight A’s and got into the best honor classes there was, he earned many extra privileges due to all of the clubs he was in. He became the best student in every grade of middle school. Teachers loved him and students wanted to be him. His mom was so happy with him she bought him several toys with some extra money. Rob thought life was great and it would only become more fantastic! Rob now already had a great reputation, a plan for what he wanted to do, and a great family. In high school Rob was already ahead of most students because 3 weeks before school the teachers handed out a list of all of their homework assignments, of which he had started with. After a while the club lists came up and once again, Rob joined several. He knew if he wanted to make it anywhere he had to try. He got excellent grades, performed well in classes, and loved all the clubs he was in. After the first 2 years of high school everyone got serious about their futures. They each wanted to be successful so they all had customized tests and the teachers told then how well they will be if the stick to their dream jobs. Since Rob was intelligent, and loved animals, his job choice was perfect. He loved his new life and imagined his future. Eventually his mother did tell him what she was planning to do and he should probably find out a good town. When he finally graduated high school he knew his new life was about to start and he had to prepare. He had to choose a good town and stick with it, and how he should start off and manage his money.
After high school he would spend 700$ to buy a plane ticket to go to the city he chose, and then spend 1200$ to buy a small sized apartment and have 100$. A year before he had to go his mother got another raise and he knew his family would be ok. He went to the library one day to decide what city h would like to start his new life in. He chose Sherlock City, as it looked appealing because of its size, number of opportunities, and number of positive reviews. On his 21st birthday he left and went on his plane. He promised his mother he would write every week to update on his status. He decided it’s a good time to write one, so he did. It was his longest one because it was all he had to do the whole flight. When he got to Sherlock City, he smelled the fresh air, walked around and viewed the sights, and bought an apartment to settle down and get started on his new life. Where will life take him now? He has no idea, this is where his true story and next chapter in his life begin….
