I'm no computer expert, but I don't think Trojan's shut down your computer. They are mainly used to steal important information, like the Trojan Horse was during the battle of Troy.
I'm not sure you have a good understanding of the Trojan War. The horse was filled with Greek soldiers who got out at night, opened the gates to the city for the rest of the Greek army, and proceeded to lay waste to Troy, not conduct secret espionage missions and then gtfo.

I would go with at least 4 gigs of DD3 ram what brand is completely up to you, you can get more ram then that but 4 gigs is good to start.
Then I would get a Radeon 6970 as far as a GPU just keep in mind that this is a 300 dollar card. Now if you want to go hardcore balls to the walls GPU you can get a Radeon 6990 that has 4 gigs of DDR5 mem but this is a very expensive card ($709.99) but it is the fastest GPU in the world atm.
The motherboard is completely up to you I can't think of any good ones but i would go with one that has a AMD chipset if you wanted a cheep cpu that would run fast.
For the CPU Just go with a AMD Phenom™ II X6 Processor.
those are the main thing I would think about when building this, keep in mind that you still have to buy a HDD a Power supply and a case.
On the power supply get at least 1000Wat power supply just to play it safe.

If the most intensive thing you're going to be doing with the computer is gaming, you don't need a hexacore. A Phenom II x4 970 BE is cheaper.
If you're building with BF3 in mind, wait. We don't even know the system requirements/recommendations yet.
