Dec 2, 2013cf451 posted a message on Community Creations - Batman-Themed Roller CoasterHmmm... Well, I liked the effects with the Stop Motion; they were quite well done. The theming was also well-integrated; but as far as roller coasters go, I was sleeping. I personally enjoy ones that mess with your depth perception and that regularly have you shooting through giant figures; this one was mainly tunnels and a few big rooms with statues you can look at... huh. Not bad but not my all-time fav. 6.5/10Posted in: News

I'm not going to join the angry crowd of people with torches and pitchforks, saying this is a bad snapshot. Unneccessary, yes, but not bad. The way I see it, this makes it easier for those who stream regularly or do livestreams at all. For the annoying idiots that don't, well, I hardly think that they'll get a huge reputation anyway.
For all the complaints about lack of bugfixing, I suggest people should lay off. Now, I see the obvious problem here, but bugfixing doesn't take a month to fix, considering all the bugs that are present. I don't see this update as a hindrance, I just see it as unnecessary now. I would rather them take two or three months and add it in to that update, but, as it stands, I don't see any benefits or setbacks. A bunch of 10 year olds being able to stream is quite easy if you ignore them. There's a reason that people have mostly stopped the spam and Bob comments on YouTube, it's because they're realizing how little of an impact they make.
Now, the only real problem I see of any relevance here is the difficulty behind this, but I am optimistic. I'm sure people will get used to this or Mojang will fix errors in how this works.
Thank you very much for speaking my mind Especially since there are bugfixes in this update, just some people are too lazy to actually go look at MCwiki and learn that for themselves. -

Anyone wondering if this might mean a release later this week, hence the early week snapshot? (Here is hoping)
Nope, we haven't reached the three or more consecutive weeks of bugfix-only snapshots. I wish it did, though; I would really like to start working with the /summon and /setblock commands with my NBTeditor... oh well.

Does that mean there's going to be a forest that's very dark, full of mobs, and scary?
Roofed Forest has already been released... I think it was in the first snapshot released in this series. If you've played the Twilight Forest mod, the Roofed Forest strongly resembles the Dark Forest from that mod.
Ah, yes, that would be Grumm flipped upside down. He really is losing his subtelty, isn't he?
Anyways, this looks like a seriously slick snapshot. Looking forward to trying it out, and especially to the release of 1.7! -

Oct 8, 2013cf451 posted a message on Minecraft Monday (on Tuesday) Show: Blame Minecraft?Posted in: NewsQuote from Akynth
Apparently it was the XBox 360 version, which only comes in vanilla. (at least that's the picture they illustrated the article with)
And yeah, if he was acting out Minecraft, he'd be sitting on top of his house at midnight with a bow and arrow.
Trololol?
Another thing.... let me get this straight. They're blaming Minecraft, SPECIFICALLY for the X360.
You don't think a better choice of game to blame might be, say, Halo? Or Counter-Strike? Or Call of Duty? Or Grand Theft Auto? Or any other of the horde of first person shooter violence-based games?
Seriously, saying that murder stems from minecraft is one of the most stupid things I've ever heard of, especially considering the other potential candidates for violent games to say inspired murderous thoughts...
Anyways, props Bebopvox for another nice MC Monday/Tuesday(?). Always nice to keep updated. -

I think this stems from a simple fact.... did anyone else notice the vivid lack of snapshot this last Thursday? I certainly did but it doesn't seem like anyone else has even mentioned it. Wonder what's the reason behind that. -

Honostly command block carts are a little useless... you'll be able to do the exact same thing with a normal command block
It's the easiest way to make a ton of commands fire in quick sucession, i.e. a long straight with tons of activator rails. Also, picture, a primet TNT spawner from a mincart chasing you. The potential for an "exploding bridge" scene is wondrous...
Interesting they'd be talking about scribblenauts on the minecraft forums, but wutevs, doesn't really matter.... easy enough to ignore. -

I'd love to see a mod re-write--that'd be seriously awesome--but I think it'd be nice (if it isn't too much work on your part) to release the current version of the mod for 1.7 before taking extra time to make an improved version. I don't know what it's like for some people, but this is quite probably the MOST USEFUL mod I have EVER used in minecraft and I'd greatly appreciate getting to fool around in 1.7 with it, especially since I use it heavily for working on my Adventure Map.
By the way, did I mention that this is the MOST USEFUL MOD EVER?!?!? Because it is. Probably the only way I would stop using your mod is if it stopped updating, and if it stopped updating I would learn modding myself so that I could keep using it!

P.S. I see Mojang removed Herobrine again. That sneaky devil, he just seems to always worm his way back in there, doesn't he?

Not on the list of mods he's using.
Though, you should check again and see if it really isn't installed.... also, I'd guess it's etither NEI or EE3, if I were to be held to that list only; NEI because that seems like the sort of convenient thing NEI would do, EE3 because I've used EE3 a bunch and my minecraft seems to do that the most when I have EE3 (I've experienced the same effect and also love it a lot... hmmm.... now you've made me think... how dare you?!?! jk ). Try those two and check back again.
Oh, btw, you should probably move this thread to "Modding Discussion" so the admins don't yell at you, because this area is supposed to be specifically for downloadable mods. Never want to risk an admin yelling at you, it's not a good feeling
