Knytte (or however you spell it), you said: "My theory is this: This is a 30 year old cracker trying to get a disc with Minecraft in order to bypass some kind of copy protection."

Maybe you're just too much of an asshole to not see issues of the youth. I apologize for the rude words but I can get annoyed, I'm only human.

I restate that there should be an easier way to buy Minecraft for kids and for people who don't live in America, like me, I live in the Philippines and have no credit card, and my parents are worried about buying things online because of their cards security.

Kids shouldn't be allowed to make their own buying choices, unless in the company or with the express permission of an adult. Its an act of irresponsibility to promote and sell items of entertainment to an adolescent or pre-adolescent. Lack of legislation on this matter won't just remove the fact that kids aren't capable of making informed decisions. As much as this may hurt some egos.

Furthermore, if a parent is unwilling to purchase Minecraft for whatever reason (good or bad), it's not up to the kid to contradict their parents' decision. Again, as much as this may hurt some egos. Fact of the matter is that their are still incapable of leading independent lives and are often not in the possession of all facts. The most common of which being their parents wanting to be in control of the type of entertainment their kids are submitted to. (And Minecraft can still be considered a dangerous game for many kids due to its addictive nature. If parents do not have the time or capabilities required to monitor their kid's time playing the game, it's natural they may lift reservations to buying it).

As for credit cards, paypal doesn't actually require one. A bank account can be used to move funds to a paypal account and from there be used to buy the game. If I remember this right from my last year visit to your beautiful country, here's two banks that can be used to open paypal accounts in the Philipines:

    - UBP
    - Landbank of the Phils

You can certainly use other banks there. But opening an account in one of these banks ensures faster transfer of funds to your paypal account.

I am not forcing this to happen. I am simply suggesting the idea of making an easier way to buy Minecraft. This is probably easy for you to say because you are probably an adult who already has Minecraft.

I'm not so sure. As a kid, I don't really know a lot about credit cards and the like. I mean, I'm 12 for Pete's sakes

You know a lot of english vocabulary for a 12 year old kid from the Philippines.....

Well, I study in an English school so, I can say that I know a lot of English.

I restate that there should be an easier way to buy Minecraft for kids and for people who don't live in America, like me, I live in the Philippines and have no credit card, and my parents are worried about buying things online because of their cards security. So basically, I quote that there should be an easier way to buy Minecraft, for both kids or adults; Americans and non-Americans.

I agree. I too live in the Philippines and sadly am a kid and has no credit card. They should make an easier way for people in other countries to buy the game.

A kid, much like myself, may want to play MineCraft but don't have a Visa card or PayPal card to buy the game. My parents also worried that their cards may get hacked or what not. Plus, I live in the Philippines, which makes it hard to purchase MineCraft. So I plead that the Administrators and hopefully Notch will get the time to make it easier to purchase the game from other countries besides America; perhaps a disc that contains the game?
