So I am wondering, how to make a.... umm... A server thing. I am trying to make a Picture and it has a banner on top saying how many players are on. But I don't even know where to start... I don't even know what it is called.
Would you need to download a plugin that detects how many players are on and sends it to some stupid PHP thing and puts it on your website? Would that involve me learning Java or PHP, or any other languages? Yeah I'm a idiot. I am aware, and I don't need people keep reminding me.

So I got the forge source so I could start making mods, except that the install.sh wont work. It opens up Xcode by default, so then I open it up with terminal, because it is a shell file. It will not work. Do I need to use another program? When it was open in Xcode it looked like python... So would I need another application to run it?

Ooops, I fixed it. I guess my computer had 2 internal IPs, so all I had to do is make the server IP blank.

@Notchy_NET I have rebooted many times, and the port isnt being used except for the server...

Oh also I checked the dynamic ip. It didnt change

So my friend and I wanted to play mc together, except my server wont start. It is unable to bind to port. We never had this issue. I checked my port forwarding, and its fine. I restarted my computer its fine. Help??

I think it would be a good idea to do it yourself... It would get complicated to have someone else to do it when the server is hosted on your computer. PEX is easy to master, as well as many other essential plugins.

Well first try the command
"pex user group set Owner"
And see if that works If it doesn't I will fix the perms
