A big thank-you to Dylan4ever for the fairy model!
Jul 25, 2014Posted in: Minecraft ModsQuote from Kaneman454Just something i noticed, you should change the mcmod.info
It works with 1.7.2 But only in Creative
Oh yeah, I hardly ever use the mcmod.info... Probably should!
Damn, well that's inconvenient!

Jul 22, 2014Posted in: Minecraft ModsQuote from Kaneman454How about backporting to 1.7.2 ? I would prefer this Mod in my Modpack
That would be reasonable. Could you check if this works on 1.7.2 first?
I heard 1.7.2 mods were supposed to work on 1.7.10 and vice-versa.
Jul 21, 2014I've mostly finished the fairy fountain and fairy mob. All thats left is a model for the fairy...Posted in: Minecraft Mods
If anyone is gifted in the art of model making or knows someone who is, a fairy model would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Can't release it until I get one, and I'm a pretty terrible modeller.
Jul 20, 2014Posted in: Minecraft ModsQuote from wolfboyftDowndate... to 1.6.4 please...
But anyway, great job.
I'm not going to put the time and effort into back-porting my mod to a version that is 10 months old. Sorry!

Pretty cool mod! Kinda iffy of the idea of an ore for the Master Sword, also taking into consideration how many mod added swords are more or less "better" than a diamond sword (even if it were to be upgraded to a Master Sword). But oh well.
It wouldn't actually be a mineable ore.
It's just an idea though, probably wont happen!

Thought that I should report on some mod interaction for your benefit. When you use Tinkers' Construct the mod works but the HUD changes don't. Everything still works as it should, but you show half hearts instead of quarter hearts. It's not a huge issue, but I figured you should know. Attached a screenshot. This is 20 heart level. But, of course, it ends up showing as 40, and with TCon's HUD stuff.
Hmm, I may have to contact the mod maker to come up with a solution for this. Thanks reporting this!
Quote from XxAlex4ForeverXx009alright ill try tomorrow but it may take sometime because i also have another mod review i promised id do tomorrow so yeah if anything the video would be uploaded on Monday

when you add the fairy would you also add fairy springs full of fairys? also would the bottled fairy revive you when you die? also could i use this mod for a modpack? (only me and my brother will use it because i have a server that only allows my brother)

I wont download just yet, but.. maybe a bit of a large idea. You could add in a small cave generation type thing to the world if its in your scope? Use quartz as the idea for it. Ya know a small dome type cave that spawns very rarely in the world. Quartz pillars, flooring, with 1-3 or whateve number of faeries just floating around in it ready for bottling. Could be a rare very world gen type thing like fairy grottos.
Dunno if that is possible but seems like an idea.Like one low spawn per x amount of chunks.
Thats the plan guys.
By the way, yes you can use it in your mod pack.

Whoops, I meant to say 'Biomes O' Plenty' compatibility. They only appear in the Biome called 'Mystic Grove', which i don't know how common it spawns. Along with that, the pixies are already LOZ styled. The Pixie Jar already exists in that mod, so you'll have to make a normal bottle compatible with them, or the already existing Jar in BOP compatible with the Faries in your mod.
Ohh yes. That would be cool, and may be possible to implement as a config option. I think it would be a little OP though, since if you find one of those biomes you have unlimited bottled fairies. I would rather keep them as a semi-finite resource. Its easier to moderate them when only 1-3 spawn in a fountain that spawns a little less common than dungeons.

Ironically enough HIkachan that's exactly what I play with. The You will die mod + infernal mobs are almost always in my personal Minecraft packs. Sadly the former isn't updated yet. So I can't mix both with the 3 starting hearts and the new health system this mod provides . Hopefully the fairies will have a config setting for rarity when they're added. Super Hostile mobs + No natural Regen + Super rare fairies = Amazing
Here's a couple of screenshots of the mod ingame.
Heh thats amazing.

Perhaps if there was Mo' Creatures compatibility, would Pixies also be able to be bottled?
That would be possible. Are the pixies very rare?
Quote from HikachanI don't think anyone has done anything like this before. Great Idea. This will make vanilla minecraft more challenging but play it with say infernal mobs mod or something like that and that makes it hard core.
There is a mod or two that gives you the ability to add extra hearts, but there aren't any that divide the hearts into 4 pieces and make you start with 3!
Jul 19, 2014Posted in: Minecraft ModsQuote from goodacheese1could i add this mod to my youtube survival i will be doing (i will provide a link to the this thread).
Sure, that would be cool.
Jul 18, 2014Fully functioning bottled fairies!Posted in: Minecraft Mods
No way to obtain them yet though, since I haven't added the fairy mob.
Jul 18, 2014Posted in: Minecraft ModsQuote from cyrusblazeI'm no expert, but its highly unlikely there would be any issue making use of a couple sound files as long as your not selling it. Just wouldn't be cost effective for them to send lawyers / the legal system after you for a mine craft mod.
I am looking forward to see where this mod goes. Really like the Zelda style heart system and it adds a bit more 'survival' to the survival experience. My only concern is about healing. Maybe just reduce the amount of huger healing (say 25% of current speed?) while keeping the random hearts from grass (and mob drops?)
Also maybe adding in a master sword energy beam style effect when at full life and using a diamond sword would be pretty sweet.
With the fairies in a bottle, any way to make it so they function like in zelda, where when you die they heal you some instead of death?
I was thinking about that, but I would rather just add different ways to heal yourself. Late game I don't think this would be an issue, but it just adds a bit of a challenge to the early game to make you think about whether you should be going out during the night or not.
That actually would be pretty neat. Maybe I could add a master ore that can be found in dungeon chests which you can temper your sword with in the anvil to give it extra strength and that ability?
Thats the plan with the fairies.

That might be what we think, but is that what they think.
Yes, we get around with no rules, and there's poverty and chaos everywhere...
