I love this mod. But I'm a bit torn about getting Blaze Rods and Enderpearls so easily. I mean, these items are meant to gate some of the most useful features. Getting the Blaze Poweder easily, that won't change the game too much, but the ability to craft it back into Blaze Rods does. That's one less reason to search for a Nether fortress, and there is basically no reason left to fight Blazes with this mod.

As for the Enderclams; I don't think it makes sense for them to be found underwater. Ender creatures are hurt by water, after all.

Well the trees can't be grown back, and you don't get much blaze powder from one tree. So I would assume that once you have depleted all of the trees around you would need to start fighting blazes. The mod is more geared towards peaceful players though, so it fulfils its purpose perfectly. It eliminates the need to fight anything.

Not too sure about the enderclam issue though, where else would I put them?
How else would I implement ender pearl alternatives?
They are quite hard to collect too since you need to create a bubble around them under the water since they take ages to break. They aren't the most common either.

So it looks like IC2 works with your Drying Block, but it pulls everything out before it has a chance to dry. I couldn't get the version with the Grinding Block to work, so I won't worry too much about that. Do you have any plans to re-implement the Grinder Block? I also had the idea of a block that, when pointed at the Hemp plant and given a redstone signal, it'll grind up the Hemp and send the grinds and seeds through an IC2 pipe connected to the back.

    Just my two cents.

    Oh thats strange.
I was actually thinking about adding sort of automation things in maybe an addon. I wanted it to remain sort of vanilla-inspired so I probably wouldn't add that to the main mod.
I'll see about this stuff if and when I start this mod back up.

I don't agree with this line of logic.
    1. Mojang doesn't have to make updates for the game? Keeping a game updated and fresh is what keeps it alive and new. If the updates were dropped right after 1.0, do you think as many people would still be playing it? A lot of people still would but more people would be getting bored and leaving. And they aren't in any way obliged to make updates for the game?

    2. Just because something is free, that doesn't make it good. This line of logic is actually doesn't help the help the developers in any way, shape or form; it hurts them more than anything. If an update of a software has issues, are we not allowed to discuss and share negative feedback about our experience for the sole reason it's free? How does that make any sense?

    3. Because it's free, why does that make all the arguments made invalid? "Be grateful" doesn't address our problems with the update, it dismisses them.

They don't have to keep it alive and new though, sure they would lose players from not updating it but that doesn't mean they HAVE to update it.
As Mister_Mystery_ said, there is nothing wrong with this update. Yeah, it may have taken a while to finish but that doesn't mean it is a bad update.
Like what I said above... You are paying for the game in its current state, you are not guaranteed updates.

You mean it's "optional" for them to do this task?

Yep. When you buy the game you are buying it in its current state. They don't guarantee future updates, nor do they have to be free!

How compatible is this mod with Industrial Craft? I want to automate production, but I don't know if the Pipes & Engines will suck items out of Blocks like the Dryer. I pretty much want to make a Toke factory :D

Well I don't use their API. I don't know if they have some special tricks to interact with containers so you would have to give it a go!

I enjoy this mod, and i found it works wonderously with the Zelda Sword Skills + Mod. the only flaw I found in it is when i died. I never respawned at the spawn point but somewere out were teh blocks end. I hover in limbo for a few moments only to be droped underwater

That's got nothing to do with the mod. Sometimes it happens to me even when I'm playing vanilla...

An alternate way to obtain hearts would be nice, OH *I just got an idea*, Maybe you could add a few bosses of your own, I.E. Down low, you may find a Dodongo's cavern, this would have the fireproof Dodongo boss, you know, the one from Ocarina Of Time? The reason for this is because, let's face it, it's not every day that you find a dungeon, and both bosses are end game, another way to earn more hearts would be nice, maybe even make a heart piece have a chance to drop from regular mobs at a 1/1000 chance, although grinding may be a problem with that... I'm going to make a video on this real soon so I hope you don't mind me asking if you could put it in the post if I post the video?

*My "Text" Review of this mod*

I've always wanted a way to decrease hearts, and well... Here it is! I've found other mods like this that only give you half a heart, but you were smart and made it 4ths. Gameplay wise it is descent, I found myself bored, and having f3 open gave me an idea -- Why not have a tracker to see if there is a fairy mob at least 20-ish blocks away from you? It got quite boring finding the fairy fountains, and overall, I didn't have fun (with the mod, just to clairify) until I had all the endgame stuff, as I only had 4 hearts, so I only found 4 pieces before fighting bosses.

    Gameplay 7/10

While I've seen stuff like this before, you weren't lazy with it, you made it so the mobs, the atmosphere of it, everything just so perfect, I don't care how short it is, but all the stuff works perfectly, and I've found no bugs to this day, everyone who does a "touch the mob" thing, always just makes it so you see the mob just fall over, I'm glad the fairy dissapears, a little suggestion: can you have an animation where the fairy flys around you visually?

    Coding: 10/10

You listen to the community, you take suggestions, that's something not alot of people do these days, you took and / or thought of every suggestion that was given, I like that.

    Community 10/10

Overall, I give this mod a "Drum roll pleease"

This mod gets a...... 9.9/10 It had few flaws, just lacked in gameplay, for what it is, it's very fun, and I'm glad I stumbled across it :)

Wow thanks for the great review!
Never had a a proper review done on any of my mods before.
I have to agree with you on most of it! Glad you like it!
I'd be more than happy to post the video on the thread.

    -snip-

Yeah that's quite an annoying bug, I don't know what causes it... It only happens sometimes! Probably due to some dodgy hack-job code I wrote...
I'm pretty sure F8 should fix that. When smoking it enables the cinematic camera smoothing effect, and when it wears off it should deactivate it. It just obviously hasn't deactivated it this time!
    Sorry about that!

Would it be hard to implement a system for flickering lights? That would be pretty cool, being able to dynamically change the brightness of a block as well as the colour.

Could you try turning off the location of Fairy Fountains from the development console?

Kinda ruins the fun in searching for one.

Oh I forgot about that. Didn't realise many people actually played with it open...
    I'll keep that in mind!
