    It is nice that you can test modifications to JSON files like that, I can see that being extremely handy for myself as well.

    I myself would nerf the vanilla swords. They are extremely overpowered as is if you really think about it. I don't see many other effective ways of increasing the incentive to want the new swords besides the "cool" factor.

    The real fun is that if you have a syntax error ANYWHERE in a model JSON file, the model mesher or bakery or w/e object will kind of just.... pppbbbbbttthhh and Minecraft will render a standard purple-and-black-checkerboard simple cube. If you have a mathematical error, however, HFGL figuring it out. I've literally math'd so wrong, the game rendered nothing at all. And no errors because the math IS valid.

    Oh, and also you write JSON with specific in-block-space XY and texture UV coordinates for everything. And it will scale a texture to fit if needed.

    I had a feeling it wouldn't be as difficult as everyone is making it out to be.
    I don't know much about JSON, I'll have to look into it. I've made small changes to JSON code before and such, but never fully understood it.

    I have found these sites quite helpful before though. A mod that I used to enjoy that had become outdated, the download link no longer worked. Lucky there was a 'mirror' of it on one of these sites!

    For the most part though, as a modder myself, I completely agree with you.

    Hey bro, can you please help me? I've been using this mod a LOT and it is the best mod I've ever used. Anyways, i recently started playing MC again and i just have one question: How do i install the 1.6.4 version? I haven't been able to install it since they made the new launcher :( Also, i think you should continue working on this mod, there are soooo soooo many fans waiting for you to drop the next version.

    It just installs like any other forge mod. Install forge using the installer on the forge website. Then go into the .minecraft folder and drop the herblore zip into the mods folder. Sorry for the late reply, I'm sure you have already either figured out or given up...

    10 means it picks a random number from 1-10. If it is 1 then it will spawn a heart.
    50 means it picks a random number from 1-50. I hope this clears it up!

    1= Redstone Block, 2= Diamond/Emerald = 1 hear piece



    Problem is, whenever I do a playthrough, I very rarely actually FIND these dungeons. The 1 time I did find a dungeon in my current world (All diamond gear by now) was one that was revealed from the surface because it spawned below sand, and the sand then fell into it, creating a noticeable square hole deep in the ground. And even then, the whole dungeon only contained 3, so no progress was made. In addition, heart pieces do not spawn in Nether dungeon chests, desert shrines, or the Stronghold chests (and likely jungle shrines aswell, though I haven't found that) meaning there's no guarantee you'll ever actually find the fairies or heart pieces to offset the nerfed start health.

    That aside, I do love this mod. It's perfect for people who use a bunch of different mods all at once to create a longer and more difficult experience. It's just, as of now, in an unreliable state of use given randomness of world generation.

    I'm not too sure if I like the idea of that, it sort of ruins the whole idea of the mod.
    I think theres a config option to change the amount of starting hearts, so if you wanted to change it to the default you would have in vanilla and build upon that, thats fine. Then you won't have to worry about the nerfed starting health.

    If I ever decide to actually build more 'content' into it, I would definitely add more ways that are 'less random' to gain hearts.

    I know why the spawn issue is happening... I was playing around with that to make me spawn in a fairy fountain for testing purposes and I must have forgotten to remove it... Oops...

    I was struggling with the golden hearts but I will look into it again!

    i had 7 hearts of max LP, then when i got out of The End, i only had 5!
    sometimes it just bug the LP!
    FIX THAT BUG!

    I'm sure it would only be a visual glitch though..?
    If you re-log does it fix the issue?

    I don't want tinkers construct though.
    It would be cool if you could mix 2 ingots together to make the alloy in THIS mod. It would fit in perfectly.
