Your question doesn't make a lot of sense to me. "Why get the official, known and trustworthy version with unlockable parts, when you could grab unknown code from a potentially dangerous source that unlocks everything for you (and possibly doing bad things on the side)?"
Basically, you're advocating piracy on the game's forums, which is a bad idea all around. Personally, I'm not sure about the demo mode itself, but my biggest concern is how it will be implemented so that registered users are allowed to play at our own convenience and not someone else's.
I'm guessing you will have to sign up, and log in through the launcher. Then it sees if you are not premium, if you aren't, it gives you the files but some how makes them not work after the time limit, perhaps through the Last Login. But if you are premium, then you have it forever and it won't lock you out.

All you need to do is replace the exe and it will be updated.

I know that the higher the number Texture Pack the higher resolution and quality it is. So I had a question.
What do I need to run a 128x or 256x Texture pack? My PC is a good PC. I have an i7 Processor, a Nividia HD 530M (1GB), I have 6GBs DDR3, and my resolution is 1366x768
What do I need to do in order to use high resolution texture packs? I know MCPatcher can patch your game so it can use HD textures, but most importantly, how would I get my Minecraft to run Max FPS, with no lag what so ever and still be able to use these very high resolution texture packs?
Thanks!

Just wait until the mod api comes out, even if it does not download the mod content, it will make installing mods so simple.

I could I suppose. But I'm a little busy lately with my new job and my driver's test coming up soon.

Luckily creepers aren't hostile while you are in Creative. Unless you attack them of course.

How the heck are people supposed to know what you want? Most people would want to know what they're in for up front, to see if they even want to mess with it.

Yeah they are. I made a personal server with my brother and it works. They're SMP.
But multiplayer mods are a pain in the butt. So I recommend just use Bukkit with plugins. They are usually just as awesome and require no work what so ever. Best of all, your players don't need to have the plugins installed.
