I had been mass slaughtering pigs and cows and trading with a butcher whose final trade is pork so I can endlessly trade beef and pork with him and acquire stacks of emeralds if need be.
The librarians can be quite tight. One guy had me buy 18 clocks at 10 emeralds a pop just to see his next trade. Trading written books with them is a good way of preventing them from draining your emerald stash (3 paper, 1 leather, 1 ink sac & 1 feather = 1 emerald).
One Librarian has Efficiency V but wants 1 book and 56 emeralds in return, whereas another has Efficiency IV for 19 emeralds
Silk Touch can be acquired for 10 emerald, Unbreaking III for 30 and Infinity for 6. I imagine if you messed around long enough you could get even lower.
I must of slaughtered in the region of 500 villagers. 9 Iron Golems were spawned during that time but I don't think I ever had 90 villagers at any one time. 50 at most.
I just dig a 2x1 trench outside their accomodation and add a block above leaving a 1 block gap for all the unsuspecting kiddies to run into. Any villager that wasn't wearing a white coat was instantly flint & steeled upon sight

Really nice! I like the look of it. About how big is it?
I guess it's about 110x90.

Really cool. Looks like it was build in a jungle biome. Kudos...clearing an area that big isn't easy!
Just on the edge, Plains biome. about 1/5 of it is built over water. It's probably only about 100 blocks from my original spawn point. The most time consuming aspect was trading with the librarians and moving the best ones into houses.
I had to change the fences in front of the houses because some of them kept escaping back to the concentration camp i temporarily built. I accidentally flint & steeled one with Looting III trade that had escaped.
Jul 23, 2013More of a housing estate really that me and my daughter have made. Although I do give her far too much creditPosted in: Survival Mode
Houses are a slightly modifed version of Keralis'
Still a fair bit to do. Move the beacon and the crudely placed chests full of crap for starters. An exit would also be a welcome edition.
The crops will be made smaller at some point too. Currently busy building farms underneath.
Thanks for looking
Jul 21, 2013I've gone back to 1.5.2. The latest update was annoyingly unplayable. It was like time was going backwards, literally.Posted in: Discussion
I would be standing within range of my beacon but not getting any special powers, waiting for the timer to kick in.
Looking up and watching the stars at night (the longest night), they would move, say 10 pixels, and then jump back 8 pixels. Everything was taking far too long and was ridiculously annoying.
1.5.2 is a far better experience for me.
Jul 20, 2013Yes, you can. Well sort of...Posted in: Survival Mode
If you have numerous stacks of the same item, click on the item and drag it over the top of a similar stack, then hold shift and double click.
So you can, if your inventory is full up of the same item.
Works in 1.5.2 vanilla anyway
