Personally, I've found YT tutorials very useful, I learned Java alongside Forge but by trying things other than just Forge. It's way better to have some Java knowledge (and core programming techniques, in general) before you begin.
Even if you know nothing about Java before you start, it's worth just tinkering around on your own, which is why I don't think this would work awfully well - it would lead users to making very cut-and-paste code (same as tutorials, admittedly), wouldn't you say?

Emmm...
4D blocks are almost nothing different to 3D blocks
(in a 3D space, they would look the same),
the only difference is that the 4D block would have a 4thD "volume", that 3D blocks wouldn't have...
There was a video over there that explained this,
the one that showed that 4D Minecraft-like game.
So interacting with 4D blocks wouldn't be such a strange and mysterious experience.

I don't remember how, but there was a way Endermen wouldn't teleport wherever they wanted in Endermen farms, I think
it was... glass under carpets, maybe? It involved carpets.
Also it's aesthetic, and would give some fun to decorators.

You're so imaginative...
I LOVE THIS IDEA!

I've been searching for a mod like this for a lot of time! So awesome you had the same idea!
Also, I have a suggestion...
Remember that Minecraft has not the same height and width / depth,
so the 4th dimension could be from just 5 blocks to some billions.
(I would like to emphisize the idea of a very little amount of blocks)

I have understood that this si not "...another 'do all the work for me' application."...
As LapisSea said "...lets say Pahimars/ScratchForFuns tutorials as the article that jcm2606 made. And the program as the web page that I made. It's pretty much the same thing but one is user friendly and interactive and the other one is not. The difference is small but the effect is huge!..."

It may not be a nerf, but it's tottaly unnecesary. >:c

Because you can use mods for that, and that "irrelevant stuff" is pretty much more game-changing than you think, it's not irrelevant.
