    You don't have to ever update op. But your missing out. As far as mojang goes they will continue to add and improve their game as long as they can. Besides mojang has said vanilla minecraft is still unfinished. And add to that their new launcher will one day play other mojang games.


    As far as modding goes if a mod maker is too busy or just done with their mod many are open source but if a mod maker refuses to put an update out even with bug fixes for over 6 months and without fail misses version consider it a dead mod regard less if they jump form 1.2.5 to 1.4.5 and then miss all of 1.5.x with when 1.6 is out soon.


    If mojang stopped updating sales would slowly spiral down then player base would fade and so would servers.

    One thing to check on 1.6 version.... once made will nametags work on bright eyes your monobrow npc and if you can label with nametag any of your bushes.


    Man I am glad bushes don't have a slime like counter part...

    I watched someones let's play the other day I think they had 500 bushes..

    So I was looking at your peace offering blocks. Thought how nice they are then I wondered what could you do in 1.6 (comes out next week) with stained clay stairs as there are not any at this moment. I thought that the stained clay stairs if textures are correct in stead of being stairs maybe they could be used as roofing elements.

    Anyway thanks for the read. Oh cool thing I found out you can stack carpet on top of itself and there are air spaces below it but remove the solid block at the bottom and all the carpet falls. No idea how this could be a great trap set up but if there was a linked set of chests that would be interesting to see the carpet drop away from an unsuspecting player in 1.6.x.

    Ok suggestions for traps I think you asked for them on other thread.


    Traps/protection ideas

    1 I will call them jacks as they look like jacks only in block form.
    A to make the block you need 3 log and they are carved into wooden spears then tied together with a binder in groups of 3 a modifyier could be poison and this block would last like 30 bumps. Upgrades would be an iron version where you have three iron spears made out of 1 iron block last 300. With an iron binder. So forth and so on.

    2. A boom box trap. This is where a block will explode and launch player or critter up Into air without destroying surrounding blocks a wooden boombox last for 3 uses iron would last 30 or more. Boxes also need Tnt inside to work gunpowder only though in wood? To make you need chest stone pressure plate and something to make like planks or bars? The boom trap box also will be able look like any block it is touching you just need to look inside at interface.

    3 bait sent box place inside a item and it will attract mobs for a set distance based on quailty of box colored smoke when its working. Examples of attact items would be raw meat for zombies arrows for skeletons a bucket of water for slimes(they seem to drown alot in them) heads for creepers, bucket of lava for magma cubes, gold for pigmen and etc

    On arrows could we get a quiver to store and set an order to fire them and collect the vanilla arrows. Maybe quiver can hold 5 or 6 stacks with 1st slot arrows being fired 1st. Oh maybe even add a randomizer on arrow firing quivers so we can fire different fireworks like arrows. Just a thought.

    Main thing is I just do not want 5 or more cool arrow types to clutter inventory.

    Yes twlight forest works on servers.


    And btw Benny slowpoke and the feed the beast team would love to chat with you. They say it often and jadedcat who is part of the feed the beast team says you are one of her top 5 favorite modders. She said it yesterday when minecraft reloaded developer was in her room. They steam often on twitch Tv.


    Anyway keep up the great works can't wait to dive into goblin strongholds.

    posted a message on Biomes O' Plenty - Over 50 new biomes, with new trees, plants, mobs, and more!
    Question are they working on some sort of wiki? I ask cause with 60+ biomes and growing and no changelog that opens up on front page I am a bit at a loss.

    Also idea for an ocean biome floating islands of any sort. I only say this after leaving one of your ice biomes to find another icebiome across a 4k block ocean. Maybe the floating islands have a ripped from ocean feel with coral trees clamshell bushes no water left on island so its a bit like a dry clay and sandy area.

    Also anyplans for a biome finding device because you don't always want to be Lewis and Clark without a guide to the rocky mounties.

    One last thought with bee breeding being a heavy aspect of forestry and its mods have you thought of making a bee breeders paradise. A place were its not too hot or cold,or too wet or dry as all bees will like to breed here day and night. You could call it pollen nation. To make such a biome I suggest loading up forestry and extra bees. If you attempt creating this biome thank you if you make it and it works tons of people will be super happy.

    I think with all these new ores, plants, armor and tools and etc there should be a cool way to display it all in a shrunken for like mini displays that are 1 block high.
    The figures are an animated Steve (Steve in action yet frozen in a pose) figures have slots one can place blocks or armor or tools/weapons on to create a image wile storing items for players.

    Also when accessories come out could we get an upright place to store them instead of just a ground chest. And if you add sheilds could I get a way to hang them on walls cause I know sheilds on doors would be a major issue

    Anyone else notice that the animal update is fast becoming the horse and fancy block update? While mules donkeys horse are all cross breedable there are no other animals. I for one was hoping for 3 different types in the animal update... oh well maybe in next snapshot.


    On charcoal odds are people are now asking for one here is a texture idea tree texture. Why? Well for one in adventure maps a maker could use charcoal for trees and make wood really rare. Lighting hits a tree tree has a chance to tun into charcoal wood. Also add with this a creative sapling called charcoal tree that would allow for a fast growth of a massive dead forest. Also you could let this tree be grown rarely. (No leaves btw)

    Ok some thoughts and questions

    On biomes ever thought of adding to their name like swampland exb3 or exb4 so that people can read whose biome it is when there are 2 swampland biomes on a sever due to 2 or more biome mods.

    Ever thought of making a few biomes where witches spawn wild? I have found several empty witch huts and I was 1st one there I blame mojang on that. (Maybe add them to mushroom, swamps and volcano biomes)

    Is there a fix for adding other mods mobs into your other biomes if so where can I find it? If no easy fix maybe add to list of stuff to add in another version. Example would be like adding clear creepers to only mini jungle biomes and not allowing them to spawn world wide by default.

    Um I know that extra biomesxl4 is or was planned for fall but mahaps new target is 1.6.1? Not 1.7 or 1.8.
    also could we get some more cool screen shots?


    Any thoughts on upside down grass and trees?

    Ok mobs to test weapons on atmos. Infernal mobs,battle towers, grimoire of gaia, mutant creatures mod, legendary beasts mod, elemental creepers, more elemental creepers, twlight forest bosses, more creatures mod, and if you can get them to mesh divine rpg mobs are super tough.


    On spawning issue of blue slimes the people who make extra biomes exl had the same type issue with green slimes not spawning in their new swamp type biomes at night so maybe you can look at that part of their code to figure it out.


    And have a good Internet free weekend.

    Also no 1.4.7 version anymore folks 1.5.2 is out now and all coders are focused on mods for that version so from this point on no more 1.4.7 upgrades etc. Get over it as 1.6 is soon with horse hay blocks 16 new harden clay blocks and carpet.

    Odd thought after seeing a player inside the smelter that was full of non harming lava I thought I wondered what weapons and items could be made by cooking living creatures..and the fun of trying to smelt living nitro. Creepers so they don't make your tanks go boom

    Not sure if I like the new ore gen of diamonds in large hollow hills but I guess ill have to wait and see. Most mods now chew though diamonds as if they were zombies in a mensa meeting.

    Mayapples. Nice since the seeds,skin and roots are poison will there be a small negative effect?

    Is there a way to make it so small hallow hills are more hollow? The large and medium ones are fun ..the small makes me want to drop Tnt.

    On secret rooms and labyrinth walls nice work destroying vjaras

    Will there be. Any new recipes for food,weapons or anything involving mayapples and will we be able to harvest and plant clover and moss patches even if its only with silk touch...moss...too bad there is not a good hanging moss on trees instead of only vines ...well that is minecraft.



    Of thoughts to 1.6 and horses any plans to make a transformation power equivocal in twlight forest? Or just a twlight forest horse.

    Liked the new picture

    A few questions can ore berries bushes grow when placed on underside of a block or does it need mushroom dirt to grow correctly?

    Is there a way in this mod to make shroom dirt (be it a bucket of water mushroom and dirt in crafting table.

    Will your npc sell a rare Bush at its house. Will it look like an npc or cooler. What will your npc sell?

    Are there plans to add more mobs? Like a mushroom chicken? Lol

    So I was wondering in all your casting and modding crazyness could you make fences and fence gates

    Ok so here are the ideas on why and what

    Adding fish to cast post will let them act like. Cats and repel. Creepers.
    Adding thorns will cause low level damage and look like barbwire or have roses growing on it
    adding water will allow players to walk through fence
    adding bones to post will make it look like its made out of bones and low level bone meal
    Adding vines will allow player to climb up and over
    Quartz fences?
    Adding lava to fences produce light and melt snow and ice

    And for fence gate you could cast a 2 or 3 wide opening that opens at once to help get in pesky animals
