It should fill the hunger bar a little but poison you. So if you're near 0 hunger, it'll save you from starving, but you better have some health or antidote to survive the poison... Which makes me wonder, will there be antidote?
I, like many others, have school to go to on the 8th. The plan is wake up, turn laptop on, update if we're lucky, play Minecraft in class all day :tongue.gif:
My reason for not using TMI etc is that it takes the resource gathering and exploring out of the game, making it less fun and cheating. My reason for not using mods that add new items/blocks is that they make the game not feel like Minecraft any more; they take the focus away from the original game and make the player focus on whatever it is they happen to have added.
I think lava pools have been made more common over time, so that could be why. But no, there's not randomness in seeds really, because the seed is what determines the numbers the random generator gets.
EDIT: The only difference you should get is the spawn point. That's not determined by the world seed. However the spawn will always be the same if there is sand at x=0,z=0.

Haha, a YouTube video would be boring. I considered doing it of mine, but most of it was just walking/boating.
