This mod tries to stay with compatibility with every mod, so if he does that, the compatibility will go to the trash, you can use "old days mod", but look at the compatibility if it works with your mods or not before installing.

I’ve stopped developing this mod for 2 reasons:
1 - I'm done with Minecraft, having played it since alpha 1.1.2_01. I've experienced everything this game has to offer. Since Minecraft was released (end of beta) it has become way too diluted for its simple outset. Almost everything that has been released since is just content and no new gameplay experiences. Every time I play I get irritated by the amount of lost potential and it makes me want to create a complete overhaul mod, though I simply don’t see that happening.
2 - The community. The immature, the trolls, the griefers, etc. This community is full of them and they’re ruining it for the rest of us. Now I get it, I like to let loose and have a laugh every once in a while myself. But the amount of stupidity on display is just cringe worthy. The signal to noise ratio is too low and finding good quality content is difficult.
Is this the end for Advanced Hud?

No. As of this post Advanced Hud is public domain, meaning it’s yours to do with as you wish. I won’t release the source though, as I’d rather have someone experienced working on the mod. Also my code shouldn’t be used as training material as it contains a ton of bad habits. Hurry up though, as I’ll be taking the downloads offline next month (June 30th)

DO NOT ASK FOR UPDATES! It is against the rules. I am working on the update. I don't know when it's done. Advanced Hud will let you personalize your heads-up display. It is a mod that is entirely focused on esthetics and customizability while not adding or changing any game mechanics. Every hud item has its own menu with it's own set of parameters allowing you to set each hud item as you see fit. One of the key features of the mod is that you can reposition the hud items to anywhere on the screen. On top of that Advanced Hud adds 3 new hud items: a lightmeter, a minimap (beta) and a death counter (for livestreaming, etc) and it is ever expanding with new features being added every update. The writer of this page just blatantly copied the description from the advanced hud topic and was to lazy to even read what it said. Shame on him.
To use the mod press H (default) to open the HUD menu

Q1: Your mod does not work on my computer, it crashes the game or it won't show the settings menu.
A: Please check how to install the mod again (and use multiMC this time, no really).
Try removing other mods that change stuff to the hud.

Q2: Is it possible to mod the hud from mod X/Y
A: No, the way java works and (to my knowledge) the lack of a decent hud api means that adding hud items from other mods is a lot of effort for little reward.
Q3: Can you make the inventory screen movable
A: No, this mod is strictly HUD only. Making the inventory screen movable will add a lot of incompatibilities.
Q4: Can I add your mod to my modpack?
A: I do not allow my mod in modpacks, because modpacks take time update all the mods in them. This will create a backlog where people will ask about problems in old versions, while those versions are no longer supported. And I'm not willing to waste my time fixing problems with older versions of the mod or having to take another step asking people what version of the mod they have. EDIT: No means no, asking your users not to ask for help with older versions is not how the internet works. Could you please stop messaging me.
Q5: Does your mod work in multiplayer?
A: Everything that is changed is pure client side, so yes.
Advanced Hud 4.8.1 for Minecraft 1.4.7- Added the item tooltips hud item. I've applied my own coding to this one, so it's not the exact same as Mojang's; It won't appear every time the item takes damage and it will use the item's rarity color.
- Added a scroll bar to the settings menu as the mod now has 16 hud items which can't fit in a 3 * 5 grid anymore.

I strongly recommend you use multiMC for installing mods
- Install modloader or forge (forge 3.3.7 and up)
- place the advancedHUD zip file in the mods folder (make the folder if it's not there).

When reporting a bug, please include the logfile as it usually shows what kind of error it was and where in the code the error happened. The log can be found at ".minecraft\GeneratorPorts.txt"
This mod currently adds five new world types:

If playing with the alpha 1.1.2_01 or indev generators, remember to turn off smooth lighting for the classic minecraft experience!
Lapis lazuli will be generated in alpha 1.1.2_01 worlds. Seeds can be obtained by using a hoe on grass, although this only applies to the default hoes and not ones that are added by mods.
Lapis lazuli and redstone will appear in indev worlds. Seeds can be obtained with a hoe like in alpha 1.1.2_01.
New in update 6:
You now have the choice to play with either default settings or to further customize the generators. A screen will appear after clicking create world where you can choose what to do.
For beta 1.8.1, beta 1.7.3 and alpha 1.1.2_01 you can enable or disable individual structures. If you choose to play with default settings then the normal structures button will be used. Ravines can also be turned on or off. Structures and ravines are not supported in indev.
For beta 1.7.3 you can also change the size of the biomes and choose to replace rainforests with jungles, which look great on 1.7.3 terrain.
A file named world info.txt will be created in the world folder (where level.dat is). This file shows which options are enabled for that world.
Recommended: Either ModLoader or Minecraft Forge.
Either ModLoader or Forge is needed to use the classic grass and leaf textures with the alpha 1.1.2_01 and indev generators. The generators can be used without it, but grass and leaves will not have the classic bright green color.
This is what alpha 1.1.2_01 and indev worlds will look like with neither ModLoader or Forge. Close, but not quite right.
Should be compatible with most mods as long as they don't replace va.class or xe.class.
That is, if something adds a custom world type it might not be compatible.
Compatible with Forge as long as you install it before Generator Ports.
- Create a backup of minecraft.jar
- Copy everything into minecraft.jar It won't load properly if you put it in the mods folder added by ModLoader.
- Delete META-INF!
- If you intend to play with an old world, read "README FOR OLD WORLDS.txt". If not then select the generator by using the world type button.
- Play the game.

What This Mod Does:
This mod aims to improve the atmosphere of Minecraft by changing the in-game models to allow for better animations and subtle effects. It aims to give a more realistic effect to parts of the game that can benefit from it, like simulating physics and making model parts move that don't normally move.
Unlike most mods, this one allows you to mix and match the files within. Each file does a specific thing, which is listed in the features section. If you don't like a feature, don't install it. Just be careful, all of these files overwrite base classes, so you may need to revert to a clean minecraft.jar to uninstall them.
This is also an ongoing mod, which means that new content is constantly getting added. New content will normally show up in the extras section, so check there first.
Wiggly Ghast Tentacles - acm.class
Divides ghast tentacles into parts and makes them wiggle realistically, like those tentacles monsters you always see at the movies. Makes them a little more scary, but ultimately nicer to look at.
Gives a jellyfish-like effect to the swimming animation of squids. Also makes their tentacles flow more while moving. However, does not fix the jerkiness glitch which still exists in all versions of the game.
Changes wolf tails to be fluffier and flowier, wagging realistically while they stand and run. There's an alternate version of this file in the extras section that gives wolves normal sized tails but still the same animation.
Takes away the stick tails of the current ocelots and gives them something nicer instead. Fully animated flowing tails that move while they stand or run, and even curl around their bodies when they sit.
A very subtle animation, makes a pig's snout move when it oinks. It only moves up and down one pixel, so it may be hard to see, but it's there. Just a little bit more life for your livestock.
A highly requested feature (I swear!), this makes the udders on cows wobble around when they walk. Even affects baby cattle for some reason. Also makes their udders have nipples, but if you're sensitive to that kind of thing, there's a nipple-less version in the extras section.
What animal makes that noise? Chickens, of course. This one makes chicken beaks open and close when they cluck, and their heads move back and forth when they strut, just like the real deal.
A subtle change, this makes villagers wiggle their big noses every once in a while! Since they don't talk yet, they wiggle wiggle instead. It's a small change, but I always get a kick out of it.
Exactly the same as above, except for iron golems! What's left to say?
A pleasing visual change, this makes the insides of slimes flow around like liquid. They splish-splosh about even more when they jump. The eyes, the mouth, and the core itself all move independently.
Adds a custom death animation to magma cubes, which causes their bodies to form into a pile of steamy, delicious hamburger patties when they die. Unfortunately, you can't eat them because they're way too hot.
A truly stunning visual addition. Spiders now finally have the knees they've always dreamed of. Also affects cave spiders.
This one's pretty simple, but it doesn't show up in SMP. It adds an attack animation to zombies so they will flail their arms at whoever they're attacking. As an added bonus, a small percentage of zombies will have a limped leg, making them a bit closer to the walking dead we're used to seeing.

Wobbly Creepers - gj.class
This is the best custom animation in the entire collection. In fact, it's so good that it can't even be in the full mod, it has to be in the extras section. The file name itself says "good job" to me for making it. It's that awesome.
Inspired by the TNT video by Captainsparklez.
Due to popular demand, here's an alternate version of the Fluffy Wolf Tails, which provides the same great animations without being fluffy. It's the same size of tail as usual.
For the more sensitive folks, this makes cow udders wobble around as they walk without adding on the extra nipples. Kind of lame in my opinion, but what'cha gonna do?
It's the same thing as regular Bucka Bucka except the red thing under the chicken's beak swings around as it walks.
If an enderman is angry and it isn't holding a block, it will wave its arms around wildly while chasing its target. Suits their twisted nature very well. Doesn't show up in SMP for the same reason that they don't open their mouths normally.
This file makes a snowman's arm swing when it throws a snowball. Little known fact: all snowmen are left-handed. There are two bugs though: doesn't show up in SMP for the same reason as the zombies, and the arm might sometimes get stuck in the up position.
Fine, since you asked so nicely. This one makes a player's knees bend when walking, running, sneaking, and sitting. Looks pretty fluid and nice. You'll like it, trust me. Also works on any other mobs that use the player model, such as zombies, zombie pigmen, and even some mobs from other mods. Does not come with elbows and NEVER WILL. Incompatible with Smart Moving and Improved First Person.
This one is pretty kneat. Building on the success of Bending Knees Please, this one makes sheep actually bend down to eat grass. It's no longer just their head lowering, their whole body lowers down to get a sweet sample of that succulent cellulose. Did I mention their KNEES bend too? (not when they walk, only when they kneel)
(makes wolves down lie down instead of sitting. hold up some meat and they'll roll over too.)
How To Install:
This mod is quite simple to install, and can be done with multiple methods. This mod does not require ModLoader, but it still works with ModLoader anyway. It will not however be loaded from the /mods folder. The first step is to download the file using the download link below. If you have MagicLauncher, you can follow MagicLauncher's instructions to get it working fast. If you don't, then you'll need to get an archiving tool such as 7-zip or WinRAR, use it to extract all the files from the download zip, and then insert the extracted files into your Minecraft.jar. If you have problems, seek out an install tutorial for ModLoader, follow it, then install this mod the same way.
All the files in the extras section should be installed the same way as the main download.
