I'd help, but I dont have the time to explain right now, or a computer... You'd be best trying a different section of the forums, as there is a mods section
Whilst it is annoying as hell having the place spammed with "I can't log in", and people should know better, you also need to, as the first guy said, try being a little nicer in the way you say things. Yes, the forums are filled with idiots, deal with it.
When minecraft was down, had no clue. I thought there was a problem with my computer, and spent a while trying to figure it out (lets just say it barely counts as a computer and is always playing up). I don't use twitter, so I wouldn't know if it's down. I find out via the multitude of posts here... It's like being on facebook to know the weather
Hey guys, Just a small problem with my minecraft SSP. I've been adventuring around for the first time in about a year, and taking screenshots all over the place, for reasons from great scenery to screenshotting the f3 screen cause I'm too lazy to take coordinates. I've been doing this for a while, but now I'm getting a message every time I try saying "Failed to save: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Number of Remaining buffer elements is 1229760, must be at least 2893188"
What is the cause for this? I've tried removeing all the screenshots from the screenshots folder in .minecraft, but that didn't do anything. Is this a common error, with an easy fix?
Looks great ATM but...
For the back you could extend the two rooms along the back wall and make the verandah loop around the top of the addition
Hope this helps you
Thanks for the suggestion... I'm not 100% sure what you mean though...
Obviously people like the idea of the underground basement I'm trying to keep away from underground for now, as it's too easy for me... Building something that looks good on the outside is my challenge.. I've spent over a year in minecraft only building into the ground (cliff face)
Hey guys, just wanting a little help with a house i made in pocket edition. This is only the second time in my year and a half of playing minecraft that I have tried to make an even slightly interesting house above ground (I excell at the underground), and I'm fairly happy with it, except for one section, which I need to get a few pointers on how to fix it
This is what I have so far:
Front view
View from the attic
Room behind the attic
View from the verandah
Inside of the room to the right (1st pic)
And this is what I'm not happy with... The back of the house
So, how would you suggest I improve upon this? Kinda ruins the entire house, doesn't it? Help greatly appreciated
Bonus points... I made 2 changes during the taking of the pictures, one obvious, one not... Can you spot them?
Well, there is no AI mechanism that makes them do anything of the sort, and in the eyes of other mobs, endermen are no more special than the others, so..... no
I'm not sure how you did it, but I have done it in the past... It's better used on chests, redstone torch to trap people who will just break the chest on you
jal97jal... That would perhaps solve the problem I saw... It just seems to have too much of the normal wood... outlining the entire house could work great though.
It's a new structure implemented in 1.2? (need clarification). As far as i'm aware it doesn't have any significance as of yet, just a cool little thing
Ok, the way lava flows can be confusing, and how to get around it can be difficult. You should aready know that it acts sort of like water, except slower, and smaller spread... So it has a source block, then flowing bits. Basically, the best way to figure out how it works is experience (I learned the hard way many times over).
Depending on how far you are from the source block, or if you're on the same y level, then the flow may or may not change direction when a block is mined next to it... I am way too tired to be trying to explain this right now, so i'll say... Experiment, and have fun... To increase the level of fun, make sure you have all your iron and your diamond pickaxe in your inventory
Instead, use the search feature for hundreds of threads just like this...
Also, try being polite about it. Right now, I don't want to give you any goals, because you're demanding them.
What is "good and reasonable"... My view of good and reasonable is completely over the top compared to another person's "good and reasonable".
So, since you're new to the forums, how long have you been playing minecraft, and what have you built in the past? That may help figure out what kind of building you're up for. What do you like to build?
