Right now on my own world, 110-130 fps consistently, all high settings.
On any multiplayer server or my FTB world, it drops down to about 80-100 fps on somewhat low settings and normal render distance. I use Docm77's edition of the Faithful pack and default on the FTB.
Dont think ill bother with a new world if im honest but should i get the urge to how do you backup a world? there is no save as button to save it as a different name it simply auto saves to the same name.
it doesnt show currupted on the xbox, i know it can happen with any game but it generally doesnt and ive never had a currupted file on any game the old pc games in the 90's
You can choose the save device used. Just connect a USB device to your 360 and save a copy of your world to that USB every week or so as an occasional backup. I still use the Cloud but its 100% completely unreliable; I still save a copy to it but I do not rely on the cloud as they fail A LOT.
Also world corruption is random. With the adventure update, 1.8 or however; that update corrupted 3 different worlds of mine. You pretty much just take it as you go and make a new world with each new update. Its no big deal, its a world that you can make over, sometimes much better with the new update features.
Strictly Iron armor, nothing else is worth it to me. I use the diamonds for my tools only. Although, now with fortune on a pickaxe, you can get an easy 10-15 diamonds from 4 blocks.
But whenever you are done enchanting, the comparison between diamond and iron armor is useless. With all protection and feather falling enchantments, you wont have to worry about iron armor being slightly inferior.
I do have a question though ... Is fire protection worth it? Does it function the same as the potion or just protects from the blaze and ghast attacks?
It wont grow in the overworld as far as I know. It does grow fairly fast in the nether though, just hang around the fortress and kill some blaze while you wait for it to grow.
Yep there is, I keep the in game hints or tags on so whenever you scroll through your hotbar, the item name pops up briefly, very useful just for a quick glance.
The option is under the options tab when you press start. Just change your in game hint settings.
Id be willing to help you out my friend as I am trying to work with a kill chamber on my own world for my underground mob system. Having the mobs not drop from above means I am having to work with pistons to crush them to a one hit kill.
I always have this issue, since I pretty much stay to the hermit style and build all my stuff underground. You just have to have enough of a light level for no mobs to spawn. I make sure the light overlaps from each source, that way there are no potential dark spots for anything to spawn.
I do level 30 for all armor but boots. I use level 22 for boots to get feather falling, almost always with level 22.
Tools and weapons, always level 30. Then you get the max chance to have more then 1 enchantment on your item, plus a higher chance to have much better enchantments.
Then I suggest you go out and kill a bunch of Skeles, Spiders, and Creepers...unless you don't care about looking like a booster...
Simple answer to your quandary, no one cares about looking like a booster. The only one I see worrying about boosting is yourself with all of your comments on multiple threads about boosting.
On topic: Mob Grinders/farms are for one reason and one reason only, experience points and items. The only use for experience points is enchanting, gaining experience by strictly killing what you find roaming does in fact take damn ages.
They added the portal for ease of updating for when the End is added with the next update. So now you do not have to go starting a new world just to get the End.
It was also said by 4J, that the End was being held off until the next update so that the 1.0 update would be put out in good order.
That it does, forgot to mention this; thank you. It just does not work on glass panes which is okay, as it only takes 6 glass blocks to make 16 panes, I think.
You can still put in the gunpowder after the glowstone or redstone just to say
Yes you can but it also affects the end potion. Adding glowstone strengthens said potion, adding redstone will extend the potions time but also take away the added affects from glowstone.
All gunpowder does is make it a splash potion and minimize the time the potion lasts but not the effect in general. You can make a Potion of Regen II as a splash potion and it will retain its strengthened effect but only last as long as 22 seconds.
By all means feel free, its the greatest wording he has put out so far.
Also on topic: Just to confirm what others have stated, the Diamond Spoon with silk touch WILL NOT silk touch ice, same for the pick axe on glass panes and ice. This makes me sad.
Its not that difficult. Say a potion of Regeneration, once the ghast tear has formed the potion of regen, you can then add either redstone, glowstone or gunpowder. Gunpowder turns it into a splash potion with a slight loss in the amount of time it will heal you.
All you have to do is throw the splash potion at your feet and you are good to go. I did some testing with the splash potions and you should ALWAYS throw them at your feet. This way you get the full amount of the effect, if thrown at head height, you get a degraded time effect; no idea why. The splash potion bottle will form on its own so no need for an extra set of bottles either.
