    yes, there are plans to update this mod. if you had looked at some of the earlier posts you could see the progress. usually, you do not want to update to the next minecraft version until the mods you use have also updated.

    No, I haven't gone back to 1.4.7 to try to install this mod (I am literate). It's an issue I've been having with forge since 1.5

    you can only install this mod on 1.4.7. the update for 1.5.1 will be coming out, so you simply have to wait if you want to play 1.5.1 with this mod.

    also, make sure that you follow the installation instructions for this mod as well.

    make sure to follow both this mods install instructions, and the instructions for magic launcher. i have yet to see anyone with an installation error when they have done this. (having magic launcher does NOT change how you install this mod). also, you are installing this on 1.4.7, correct?

    to everyone who wants to ask for when this mod will be updated:

    the mod is in the process of being updated. from looking at the source code they have on github, there is still some work to be done, and they are working extremely hard on updating this. the update to 1.5 did break some things, so those have to be fixed before it can be released. (if you really need an estimate on how long it will take, try within this month or the next.) i am not one of the modders, so the modders are free to correct me if i have made a mistake.

    I'm running Minecraft 1.5.1 on Windows 7. I downloaded the latest Forge version (the one for 1.5.1). Installed it (ran smoothly, all seems okay).
    But when I added Thaumcraft 3.0.3 to the 'mods' folder and ran the game, it showed the MOJANG logo but then all I get is an eternal black screen - no menu, no visual, no sound. Nothing.
    I tried resetting all my core files to the start and trying again, but it didn't work.
    Anyone have an idea why this may be happening? :(

    would it be possible for me to help with the coding in some way? i do know a good bit of java, and i know the basics of making minecraft mods. I've tried looking for the source code, but i was unable to find it. i do have MCP downloaded with forge installed, and i am all ready to start coding. i am willing to show some of my work outside of minecraft to the modders if they would like.

    i have had zero issues with magic launcher and this mod. magic launcher is made to only install the jar mods for you, nothing else. anything that normally goes into the mods or coremods folders should be installed exactly as if you didn't have magic launcher. it will get errors when you try to install non bin-mods inside the bin.

    i just wanted to make sure that you knew that not everyone with magic launcher crashed with this installed. sorry if this seems like a rant.

    Hey all, I've been playing Fossil and Archaeology Mod for about a week now, but seem to be having alot of Problems.

    If I have 2 of the same Dinosaurs in the same Pen [have tried Raptor, Bronciosaraus, and Triceratops , they will try and kill each other. I have made sure they are full, and plenty of Food in the Feeder, yet they still insist on killing.

    The Raptors after about 1 day, just start glitching out. Running at extreme speeds, through walls ect. Impossible to click on them cause they are going so fast.

    Dinosaurs just vanishing. If I have a Dinosaur in a cage, then go off and do something else, I come back and they are gone. They are in Stone and Steel Fence walls. Have kept increasing the size of the Pens, but they still end up vanishing.

    Bronciosaraus not eating out of the Feeder. I heard you need to have the Feeder at a certain Height, but I havent been able to find anything on the Net about which Height, and at what age. Does the Height change as they age?

    Anyways, I hope to get some answers of if these are known Bugs, if Im doing something wrong, or if it will be more stable in the 1.5.1 updated version. I find this Mod enjoyable and just wish I could play it without the need to constantly have to spawn more Eggs.

    some dinos will end up killing each other. for the carnivores, they are (i believe) coded to hunt, and sometimes they will hunt even when full. the Bronciosaraus is one dinosaur that kills axidently. it was coded to 'crush' smaller dinosaurs underneath them. they also require their feeder to be within one block of their nose (including one above or one below or at their nose level). because of this, it does change as they age.

    some of the dinos are a little glitchy. one solution for escaping their pens that seems to work for me is to have the pen be a 3 deep hole in the ground. they cant seem to jump excessively high, so it generally works. just make sure that the trex pen is lined with iron bars or iron blocks on the sides.

    next time, if you wish to know if a bug has already been reported, you can check their github page. the link can also be found under the 'known bugs' spoiler. they find it easier to monitor the existing bugs if they are reported directly to github. they don't get lost in the pages like in the forum.

    my friend and i just had a really cool idea for this mod. a wisp boss (kinda like a wisp version of a giant angry zombie), the boss might drop a knowledge fragment for a specific research (like fragment of theory of everything). the fragment would have all its aspects hidden, and when researched it would uncover one (ore more) aspects required for the theory.

    that's odd... i actually had one of my golems jump in the cauldron and die, with the item going in, i right clicked the cauldron with my wand, and it worked as normal. it could be related to one of the mods you have. (i wish that the log would tell us where the null value came from, in addition to where it caused the error)

    i use golems all the time, and i have yet to see anything like that happen to me. also, if this was singleplayer, there should have been no changes between when you logged out and when you logged in. if this is mulitplayer, then other players may have been doing something to it.

    I'm not really too excited for 3.1 I would really just like its current form to move up to 1.5.1, it's the only mod holding back my other mods from updating

    as i currently understand it, the current thaumcraft release will be updated to 1.5.1, then after that the 3.1 update will come out for 1.5.1. (when its finished)
