Hey. So I have just figured out to make an 8 bit Demultiplexer that can support up to 16 different 8-bit arrays.
So now I need to figure out how to make a counter, a binary program counter so I can read from the memory in order. Now it just occurred to me that the counter will probably be an adder, and I would somehow loop the current answer back to one input of the adder, and add one more. Could somebody with some more experience correct me if I'm wrong, and give me some tips?
Hey guys. So I have become interested in circuit boards and such lately, and I have been playing with minecraft a bit with the redstone wires. I kind of know the workings of a basic computer. I built a 4 bit adder/subtractor, with direct inputs. I have a few questions though...
1) I have been experimenting with Memory cells. I have successfully made an 8 bit array with the ability to write 0's or 1's to each with switches. This is direct input, and to reset the cell I have a button for that since I am using OR memory cells. My question is, How can I enter my values in the switches, and have the values not written to the ram until I click another button?
2) Kind of based on my first question. Lets say I have 2 arrays of 8 bit memory, but I want to control both of them with the same 8 switches? How would I make the circuit write out to the first one or the second one without writing to both?
Tops at about 120 with fancy graphics and far rendering, no fog. Ususally around 70-90, down to 60 when generating, with 150+ chunk updates.

I dont really notice lags at all unless its under 20, hence my netbook on all high settings, though I am surprised that I can hit 25 average on far rendering and fast graphics on my netbook :smile.gif:
I get about 20-25 on my netbook with no fog and fast graphics. A little under 20 with fancy graphics, not much lag. I know I get 100+ on my desktop. I'll post that once I get back on my desktop.
