when is optifine coming for 1.12

because i need to run shaders the vanilla looks ugly and please recommend a shaders for me here is the specs of my PC

    i5 7400

    4gb ram

    intel hd 630

I know this is getting a bit off topic, but if you want shaders, you need a good graphics card. Your PC has integrated graphics (Which are garbage). I personally suggest either a Nvidia GTX 1050 or a Radeon RX 560 if you end up buying a graphics card. Both are around $100 on Amazon. Here is an installation guide if you end up buying one:

posted a message on I would use Optifine, I just have an EXTREMELY annoying issue.

To open .jar files, it is required you have installed Java. Java is the programming language Minecraft runs off of, (and used to require installed). You can download it from www.java.com/download

What are the specifications of your computer? You need at least 1.5 Gigabytes of ram allocated for mods these days, and a decent processor.

Honestly Pokemon GO isn't Pokemon. Theres no trading, no training, little grinding, and Pokemon GO really is just running around like a chicken with your head-cut off... Most Pokemon GO fans don't even realize it either. Its a good concept, but is missing most of the fundamentals of Pokemon..

posted a message on Has anybody else here ever played or heard of Dungeon Hunter 2?

Pretty unknown game, very addicting, RPG for mobile released in 2010. It broke with android Ice-Cream sandwhich and later on with iOS 9. Part of the reason why I hate iOS updates. Honestly though, I think I invested more time in this game than I did on some Triple-A titles I bought recently.

I broke 2 controllers when playing through the MW3 campaign.

And Alu'vidor from Dungeon Hunter 2 (None of you have ever heard of this game). I believe you kill him a total of Seven times and HE KEEPS COMING BACK... Throughout the 3 hour campaign you get to see him again every ~25 minutes... So bloody annoying.

That video is a old version of minecraft, there had been a lot of things that blot it down in recent updatse

I don't think it covered anywhere near the difference between an iBook G4 and a MacBook from 2011. Its a 2004 PPC processor vs. a 2011 intel one.

I don't think its just a GPU problem here, I suspect something else on his computer is up. How much ram is he allocating?

    Hello everyone!
I was playing Minecraft yesterday, and i had no problems with the new launcher.

But today i launched Minecraft and it tells me this

    http://prntscr.com/e9uhf0

If i close it, it does nothing, just closes, and i dont want to reset my settings

    Would really appreciate some help

    Thanks! :)

    "deleting your settings"
Just means it will delete your preset profiles. Not your worlds. Not your video settings. Not your account. Just the profiles you created (if any).

posted a message on Help on FPS with bad graphics card.

I don't think its your GPU. Simple as that. I played MC for 2 years on a Chromebook, with intel HD graphics (128 MB of video ram) and it ran at 30-60 fps on popular servers with a render distance around 9. MC is not at all GPU intensive, but rather CPU intensive. If you have optifine installed, go to "animations", and click "all off." This increases fps dramatically. Turn down the rest of the settings while you are at it. you can make it playable.

On a side note, are the fans spinning? My MacBook Pro (2015)'s fans stopped spinning a few weeks ago. It killed performance until I sent it to be repaired.

The new one its more efficient and its native instead of being in java

I don't get the big fuss about removing java. When I heard the native one was coming to OS X, I was happy for about 10 minutes that I could uninstall java, until I remembered mods and just about everything else needs java installed. Unless you are that vanilla only person, I don't see this being much of an improvement at all. And the performance wasn't increased by much. Either your game is playable or it isn't playable. The performance gap was around 3 fps, which isn't important to almost any gamer.

    Quote from Zitchas»

Despite the fact that we play on survival, I put a command block and trigger in that end city that gives any player that makes it that far an unbreakable Elytra. They still have to work for it, but it isn't that hard since the Dragon is dead and it isn't that hard to follow my path in the End. Just have to dodge some Shulkers. But I firmly believe that the power of flight should not be anywhere NEAR as hard to get as it is. (I explored a huge swatch of the End via creative mode flight, and in all that time exploring, I only found a single Elytra beyond the one that I found originally. Two. In as big an area of the End as one can explore in about 6h of creative mode flight. Talk about trying to keep a new feature in the game irrelevant to most players.

It is easier to get full protection 4 armor and a few super golden apples on 1.8 then it is to get a glider on 1.9. On some PvP/faction servers, it is arguably easier to apply for a staff rank that has /fly than to make it past tons of elite factions in the end and try to find an end city. The elytra is a good thought, but is impractical on multiplayer too. In PvP, it is useless. It does no more than make you look cool. If I was mojang, I would make it a craftable glider from feathers, string and sticks. To be honest, that would be more balanced.

posted a message on I got it! One of the problem why game gets boring

Problem with MC is that there's no real challenge. Every new world is the same. Spawn, make a house, gather materials, mine, and quickly you have so many supplies it becomes almost impossible not to survive. If there were mechanics for thirst, food spoiling, armor corroding, etc. it might prolong game play. But eventually it runs the course of most any game: you eventually become too OP and at that point the challenge is lost. Instead of illagers, for example, a thieving villager would have made the game more interesting - one that comes to steal your crops, steal from your chests, or steal from you while you are outside.

MC is too easy to master. Compare it to CS:GO as a great example. MC takes around 30 hours of gameplay until singleplayer survival becomes fairly easy. In CS:GO, after 30 hours, you probably are still unranked. After 100 hours in MC, you have started to play servers, and are decent at PvP. At 100 hours in CS:GO, you just got ranked and are silver 1. After 300 hours in MC, you are really good at PvP and win most skywars games you play. After 300 hours in CS:GO, you just got to gold nova. After 1,000 hours of MC, you have quit PvP and mastered hundreds of mods. In CS:GO, you finally got to DMG. After 3,000 hours of MC, you have done just about everything possible in the majority of mods, been admin on three servers, and just quit. After 3,000 hours of CS:GO, you are in the eagle ranks pushing for Global elite.
After 4,000 hours in CS:GO, you finally start cracking out the mods. Something you did after 300 hours in Minecraft.

I understand they are different games drastically, but MC just is too easy most of the time. Its like playing against harmless bots in CS:GO. It just gets old because it is too easy.

A lot of people disagreeing with me haven't played as much I suppose. I have around 200 days of playtime on Minecraft since 2010, and most people on this forum haven't. Online PvP is too easy, online survival gets boring, online mods are almost dead, and mods on singleplayer get boring eventually too.
