posted a message on A good superflat survival seed, with no exploration required
In a superflat world with generate structures on, this seed will spawn you right next to an NPC village. It has everything you need to survive. There are two blacksmiths with enough iron ingots for a bucket, so you can make a cobblestone generator. There are also saplings so you can generate wood. Throughout the village, there are three lampposts (with wool on top) so you can make a bed, so you don't have to worry about dying (unless you play hardcore). In addition, there is a second village. There is an easy way to move between them: First find the tavern in whatever village you're in. Then, go to the side of the tavern with the backyard thing. Face away from the tavern, then walk away. In a very short time, you should arrive at the second village, with a lot of iron ingots. All these resources with no exploration required give you an easy start!

The seed is: im tired of trying seeds

Here is what you get from the first village:

Here are the items from the second village:
    1 iron legging
    2 bread
    6 apples
    14 iron ingots :ohmy.gif:
    1 iron sword
    3 gold ingots
    7 saplings
    1 iron pickaxe
    3 diamonds :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond:

That's a lot of ingots and saplings in total! However, if you really want obsidian or more diamonds, you'll have to find another village. But those are supposed to be rare anyways. Still, if you find obsidian, tell me! If you do manage to get enough obsidian from chests or lava, then if you build a portal 40 blocks above the spawn point, you should appear in or near a nether fortress.

This seed is perfect for those who want to survive in superflat but don't want to explore endless flat terrain for enough resources.

posted a message on Item Repair - Useless or Redundant?
Yes, you are missing something. The way item repairing works, first you have to wait for a tool to reach low durability, then make the same tool again. Then, you use that tool until it is low durability, so you have two of the same tool with low durability. Crafting these together will give you one tool, with more durability than that of the two tools put together. So basically, repairing is so you can get extra durability.

posted a message on The Mystical void. I want one!
Actually, it is possible to go to the void in survival without cheating. Simply go to the end. There's more void than you'll ever want there. However, if all you want is a small patch of void, then I can't help you.

posted a message on redstone is too big
Well, if you want to save horizontal space, then you could make redstone travel vertically down or up a staircase or through redstone torches and use the space underneath or above the ground. If you're talking about the wires burning out after a certain distance, try using repeaters. If you want to repeat without a delay, use two redstone torches. If your wiring is simply messy, just try organizing different parts of the wiring into different areas set apart from other areas.

    Quote from Varuna

That's like saying: "I went to search for diamonds but I didn't find any diamonds so I just gave myself some diamonds."

    ....

    Gawd, what a retarded post.

He's saying that he found two rooms where nether wart is supposed to generate, but the nether wart wasn't there. For nether wart, you can tell it's supposed to be there by the staircase with soul sand on either side, but diamonds just generate randomly underground, so this post is nothing like saying that.

posted a message on (flatland) Village seed where you spawn in the church!
    Quote from PizzaPenguin

Dude posting flat seeds is just... just... stupid. They all have like 20 villages around spawn, and this is average. Geez...

I've seen tons of flatland seeds with exactly 0 villages around spawn. It is not average to spawn inside the village church.
To OP: Thanks for finding a cool seed! :smile.gif:

posted a message on What is the scariest with minecraft?
I found my first stronghold, so my brother went in first. When I fell into the stronghold, I was suddenly enveloped in lava that had not been there before! It turned out to be a portal room, and my brother had attacked a silverfish, which destroyed a block holding back the lava.

posted a message on Do you think the old food system could ever work today in Minecraft?
I think I like the new food system better. The old system just lets you instantly recover in the middle of danger, while with the new system, you have to wait a while in order to recover, so you can't always rely on food. On top of that, the new system damages you when your food meter is empty, making food a necessity rather than a convenience, and preventing people from hiding in a hole forever. The new food system also makes storage easier with stackable food.

Actually, the zombies seem to treat iron bars as full blocks, so they don't try to jump over those.
