Mar 25, 2011Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from Klazo »I don't understand, do the spike walls have health bars? That would be terrible.
ya but they they could be good decoys but if these did come out i would use em as decoys since i use netherrock and soul sand for traps XD
Mar 24, 2011Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from Regular Hexahedron »I like the idea of spike walls, but would prefer them to work exactly like a cactus but with a metal or stone appearance for when a cactus doesn't match your decor.
Well i was just sayin cuz cactus are somewhat limited on placement while spike walls can be placed anywhere but are destroyed by lava, water cuz it puts too much pressure on it and fire but the fire one only affects the stick and cactus spike wall so in SMP pyros will have a chance at least.
Mar 24, 2011A wall that is taunting to mobs which causes them to attack this wall that has spikes(cactus, sticks, iron spikes, golden spikes, or diamond spikes which is the most effective)Posted in: Suggestions
For example =Stick =Spike:Iron: =Spike[Gold] =spike:Diamond: =Needles(which cactus like things have a chance of dropping)
Spike wall: .5 heart loss hit back when hit but has a 50% chance of actually damaging the mobs and has 5 hearts
Cactus Spike wall :has 0.5 heart loss hit back when hit and has 5 hearts
IronSpikewall: has a 1.5 heart loss hit back when hit but has 20 hearts
Golden spike wall: has a 1.0 heart loss hit back when hit but if very fragile and explodes with a burst of the maximum light which might be good against Skeletons, spiderjockeys, and zombies when that happens.
Diamond Spike Wall: does a insane 2 heart loss hit back with 30 hearts and can resist .5 damage each hit(i added that cuz its rare)
Regeant recipes: =cactus][ iron, diamond and gold are there original icons

Mar 24, 2011Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from Forresst! »Hello,
I would like to suggest some lantern and lighting Ideas I had. I have looked through the table of craftable items in the minecraft wiki, and I don't see anything like what I thought up. The lighting options in minecraft are fairly limited, so I thought these might be fun additions.
1. Paper Lantern: 7 paper and 1 torch, with the paper in a box around the torch. This would provide about the same amount of light as a jack-o-lantern, but have white sides and bottom. You could hang these from ceiling blocks too. If you dyed them, you could make colour paper lanterns!
2. Hurricane glass lantern: an iron ingot in the top and bottom middle, a torch in the middle, and a glass block in the middle left and right. These would provide as much light as a jack-o-lantern as well, but would basically be a block with two dark bands on the top and bottom and a nice glowing center. For options, you could substitute the iron for gold.
3. Tiny christmas lights: redstone wire across the top three, coal along the middle three, making 2 strings of christmas lights. These would look like three small points of light, attaching to walls much like a sign does. if you plced many strings of christmas lights together they would link up into a line. For variety, you could add dye along the bottom, or just dye them once they're made, and the light points would shine in that colour.
Anyway, this is a completely cosmetic idea, but I'd really like to see a little bit more variety in the lighting I can make for my stuff. Torches in my epic treehouse kinda make me nervous :smile.gif:
lanterns are already in the making so its a little late
Mar 23, 2011um i think armor should be repairable with resources(repairs heals the armor based on how much it needed to make it)Posted in: Suggestions
Example:Helms take 5 leather,diamond,etc: so it would repair 20% of it with 1 diamond,leather,etc.
Mar 23, 2011Posted in: DiscussionQuote from DJ-Sandman »ya i use the shelf technique (mine a new spot to stand so you can see your the place your mining.)
personally i dont like ladders, i rather just mine down and use blocks to get back up.
now personally i dont think torches are that necessary, unless you branch off.
or have a bucket of water to endlessly remove lava without losing the water. which usually benefits with obsidian mining
