posted a message on Making a console in Java
So i was wondering how i could make a console like window in a program. So like when you open the program a little section of it is like the console in the Eclipse IDE where output and input are shown there. But, instead it's shown in the program, whether the program is a game or calculator, etc. In the console you can run command and change settings but not to the whole computer just to the program itself, like maybe change the theme, or run a method.

I want it to look and feel a lot like the command prompt in windows, or something where the results and history are right there next to where you enter info.

Could I even run it in a separate thread and have it have it's only window?

    Any help is greatly appreciated

I'm getting ready to order these parts and them together, I just wanted to get you guys opinion on.
I'll mostly be playing ARMA 2 or DayZ on it. Some programming and stuff. Is there anything I'm missing? I have a mouse, a monitor, and a keyboard. I do need a wireless card I believe, any ideas where to get a good compatible one?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'm sure this has been asked but I just can't seem to find it anywhere. So I just back from being out of town, and the Revolution Map Pack came out for while I was gone(I have a PS3). If I get the season pass right now, will I still get the map pack Revolution? And Nuketown Zombies? I think it's a yes, and I'm sorry if I'm wasting your time, but I just wanted to be sure before I put down money and didn't get what I thought I was getting.

    Thanks for your time

posted a message on Adding my mod to Bukkit
    Hi,

I've recently been working on my own mod for me and a couple buddies. I've also been running a bukkit server for us too. I was wondering how I can make it so we can play the mod on the server. I'm using forge to make the mod, and just plain bukkit server with essentials.

Do I have to edit the mod in anyway to make it compatible with multiplayer? Any instructions or links up to date, would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry about the link I didn't realize, I couldn't figure out how to put the picture in the post. But it just showed an error: The network password needs to be 40bits or 104bits depending on your network configuation. This can be entered as 5 or 13 ascii characters or 10 or 26 hexadecimal charcaters.

If I was to buy a newer wireless card I'm guessing that that would fix it?

I've recently gotten my hands on an old DELL Latitude C600. It currently runs Windows XP service pack 3. I brought it home hoping to hook it up to the internet and just mess around with it. It came with a CISCO AIRONET 350 series wireless LAN adapter plugged into a slot on the side. It gives me an error about not the right characters.

I think it might be the wireless card, but is there anything I can do to fix this error?
by the way, my wi-fi has WPA2 encryption.
If you need any more information or pics of the laptop that might help, I can do that.

posted a message on Moving a text file
I have a c++ program running on my laptop and after awhile it starts to collect data, and I have it put it into a .txt file. Because I do a lot of the coding and checking of stuff on my desktop I was wondering how I could have the program send the .txt file to me at the other computer or just send the data in another form.

Awhile back I remember seeing a thing using HTML where the visitor of the site would enter something and the page would email that enter stuff from the visitor to the owner of the site. But, that require outlook and signing in, so I was wondering how could I do this with C++ and without it prompting me.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
