posted a message on [v1.9.9] SecurityCraft~ Security cameras, Retinal scanners, and more!

SecurityCraft for Minecraft 1.19.3 is here! This is a first beta version, so please note that there may still be some bugs. If you find any, please report them in the #bugreport channel on our Discord server. There are a few changes from the 1.19.2 version of the mod, namely two new gamerules to control source conversion of fake liquids, a creative tab revamp (though not as significant as vanilla), and relevant reinforced blocks utilizing vanilla's new nether wood sounds. You need at least Forge 44.0.11 to play.
    CurseForge: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/security-craft/files/4166593
    Modrinth: https://modrinth.com/mod/security-craft/version/yAcmyKhO

A note on experimental 1.20 features: We will not be actively supporting them as long as they have not been fully released, as Mojang said that experimental features may change at any point. This does not mean that they don't work with the mod, we just won't explicitly add support for them until their full release.
Lastly, we will no longer update SecurityCraft for 1.19.2. This means that update v1.9.5 of the mod will be released on Minecraft 1.19.3 instead of 1.19.2.

We have just released a new update for SecurityCraft, v1.8.22! This update finally brings the long awaited rework of the Keycard Reader. You can link your keycards to your own keycard readers via signatures that can also be shared with your other readers if you so wish. For more information about the new keycard system, please refer to the ingame SecurityCraft Manual item. Other notable features include a new Speed Module to increase the operating speed of some of SecurityCraft's blocks, the ability to select which projectile types the Trophy System can attack (requires a Smart Module), and proper offhand support for SecurityCraft's items. Additionally, we have renamed the Whitelist Module and Blacklist Module to Allowlist Module and Denylist Module to make their usages clear to the player. Of course we have also fixed a bunch of bugs and included numerous quality of life features and changes.

The update is available for Minecraft versions 1.12.2, 1.14.4, 1.15.2, and 1.16.5:

posted a message on Wood Converter v2.10 - Updated for Minecraft 1.12/1.12.1/1.12.2

    Updated for MC 1.12.2.

Do you know the moments, where you only have spruce wood but need some acacia wood desperately? Did you craft too much planks and need logs, but don't have any trees nearby? Then this mod is for YOU! With the WoodConverter mod you can convert all your wood, leaves and more into their other types! You can also craft stairs, slabs and more back into planks, and those back into logs!

All of the following recipes can be applied to any of the shown block types (i.e. the plank recipe works the same for all plank types). The converting order is as followed: Oak -> Spruce -> Birch -> Jungle -> Acacia -> Dark Oak -> Oak

The following recipes are shapeless, which means that you can place the shown items in any order into your workbench. They also apply for all other wood types.

    Other features:

    • Starting from v2.6_3, WoodConverter will check for updates each first time a world is loaded after the game was started. You will be informed in the chat, whether there is an update available or not. As of v2.7, you can configure this feature in the config file. Introduced in v2.8_2, VersionChecker takes over the job of my custom written UpdateChecker. I highly suggest that you use VersionChecker as it's probably supported by many of other mods you installed, and helps you to keep them up to date!
    • Starting from v2.10, you can disable recipes in the configuration file.

    Thanks to DrPlayStationNation!

Important: Many sites are copying my and other author's mods and redistribute them as their own work. These sites and the files you can download often contain malware! Do not download this or any other mod from any other site than minecraftforum.net! For more information about this pleas visit this thread or go to their website. #StopModReposts

    Forge installation instructions:

    • Download the latest installer of Forge
    • Download Wood Converter
    • Make sure you ran the corresponding Minecraft version at least once
    • Right click on the Forge file -> open with -> Java(TM) Platform SE binary
    • Select search and go to your .minecraft directory (default is %appdata%/.minecraft) and hit "Install Client"
    • Click ok as soon as it's done
    • Drag the Wood Converter file into your .minecraft/mods folder. If that folder doesn't exist, create it.
    • Close everything, start Minecraft and enjoy!

Optionally, you can install VersionChecker which gives you a notification on Minecraft's main menu if there's a new update available. No more annoying chat messages :D (This means you can safely delete the WoodConverter configuration file)

All Forge downloads including versions that are not listed in the three download widgets below can be found over on the mod's CurseForge page.

    Forge download

If you have any questions about the mod, or just want to leave a thank you, please feel free to comment on the thread :) It helps a lot!

    Old ModLoader versions:

    • A block where you can select and change your wood directly into your wanted wood type and craft it back (In the works, follow development here.)
    • Mod support (for now, only Biomes o' Plenty and Extra Biomes XL), will get added as soon as the block aforementioned is in the mod.

    • (Below v2.8_2 only, won't fix) The Minecraft Client crashes, when there's no internet connection and a world is first joined.

Please contact me if you experience any bugs or crashes. Thanks! :)

posted a message on The Plopper - Picks up items that are about to despawn

The Plopper is a block that will pick up any items in its general vicinity that are about to despawn. It will do so at a set range, which is 3 by default, but can be changed via the configuration. The range affects all directions (north, south, east, west, up, and down).

You can access the picked up items by rightclicking the block, or piping items out of the bottom. But do note, that you can only pull items out of the plopper, and not put any into it. It's not supposed to be a storage solution :)

Here is a video showing off the block. The birch planks represent the default area in which the plopper can pick up the items (note that the items dropped outside of the range don't disappear with smoke particles).

As you can see, the block comes with a sound and particles. Both can be turned off via the configuration file.

Like previously mentioned, the plopper works with pipes (in this example, Itemducts from Thermal Expansion)! By default, you can only extract from the bottom of the block, but that's toggleable as well. (The lever is not required for the plopper)

The Plopper is crafted like shown (shapeless):

bypassOutputSide - If set to true, the plopper will output items to e.g. pipes at all sides instead of just the bottom (Default: false)

displayParticles - Whether particles should show up every time the plopper picks up an item (Default: true)

playSound - Whether a sound should be played when an item gets picked up by the plopper (Default: true)

range - The range in blocks at which the plopper will still pick up items (Min: 1, Max: 20, Default: 3)

posted a message on Global XP - Share XP levels with your friends

This mod is pretty straight forward. It adds an XP Block which allows for near infinite storage of experience which any players can access. In the Creative Menu, it can be found under the "Miscellaneous" tab.

To view how many XP is stored in the block, just look at it and a nametag-like text will pop up above the block showing an approximation of how many levels are stored and the exact value of XP stored in brackets (toggleable).

The block also has Waila and TheOneProbe support. Both mod's tooltips show the same level approximation and when sneaking also the exact amount of XP stored.

The block will retain the stored XP when it's broken. The item in the inventory will show the amount of stored XP in its tooltip, too.

To craft the block, surround an Emerald with 8 Iron Bars as seen here:

    Crafting recipe

    • Duck + rightclick to add all your current experience levels to the block
    • Righclick to remove one level from the block and add it to your experience bar

There are two configuration options which are also configurable ingame and don't need a restart. You can...

    1. ...configure the speed at which the emerald within the XP Block is spinning
    2. ...configure the speed at which the emerald is bobbing up and down
    3. ...toggle the nameplate above the XP Block showing the contents

The values you insert for 1. and 2. are multiples of the default speed. If you would set both to 2.0 the emerald would be animated twice as fast as with the default values.

    Currently supported languages:

    • English (by bl4ckscor3)
    • German (by bl4ckscor3)
    • Spanish (by Dorzar)

If you want to add support for your language, or a language you know, please submit a pull request to the GitHub repository.

posted a message on [v1.9.9] SecurityCraft~ Security cameras, Retinal scanners, and more!
    Quote from Peekofwar»

Hello, I have three versions of a resource pack specifically to change some of the textures in this mod, and I want to know two things:

Which version of this mod did you change the file names from (example): TextureFile.png to texture_file.png?

Which version of this mod did you add more key cards?

I want to label these three packs with what versions they support.

    1. The texture name changes are exclusive to the editions of the mod for Minecraft 1.11.2 and 1.12.x. Each SecurityCraft version that is also available for 1.11.2+ will have the old TextureFormat for MC 1.7.10 through 1.10.2, and the new texture_format for 1.11.2 and 1.12.x.
    2. The Limited Use Keycard got added in v1.7.0 and the level 4 and 5 Keycards got added in v1.7.4..

How do you stop camera view?

If you are using LookingGlass, just unbind the camera by rightclicking it again. If not, press the key you use to exit Minecarts, by default SHIFT. Please note that on SpongeForge the latter is not possible due to a bug.
