ok that sounds good! yeah so the 'modloader' is pretty obsolete at this point eh?
it sounds like forge has solved most of the problems, i'm not really planning on releasing it anyways. just for personal use, although if i find it good enough i might work towards getting permission, and just having it so people can just download (off the official modmakers page) and apply the ones that i can't get permission for.
I mainly just want to finetune something that's geared more towards the 'adventure' side of things. I'm really surprised that there isn't anything out there that isn't tailored to this. Just stuff to spruce up the exploring aspect for when i play on 'hardcore' mode. Pretty much all i find is more geared towards the 'creative' aspect or it just has a bunch of mods that don't really go together for what i have in mind.
hiya folks! was just looking to get into mc again given the new update, but wanted to add my big specific list of mods to fine tune it to my preferences...yadda yadda..I usually just install yog box/amco/etc. but was thinking of just trying one from the ground up.
i just wanted to know what things that i'd need to look out for in regards to conflicts, and actually getting some mods that otherwise not work working together.
I know it's impossible to get some of them working, but would love to know how for the rest of them.
-sometimes a button will start spamming on its own, until i click the button again (makes it annoying as it starts placing my placeable items like stone, wood, dirt, etc. at random) Note: this doesn't happen on other games i play with the controller.
-can navigate menu's but can't click the options
all i could really think of is making the menu/inventory navigation more streamlined...otherwise thank you so much! great work!
Taking damage from being overexposed to heat in desert
-jump into a pool to cool off
Taking damage from being overexposed to cold in winter
-gather around heat source to warm up *lava, stove, fireplace*
you can make the hearts turn red or light blue depending on either.
I'll share some thoughts:
-i agree that taking out herbalism and incorporating it into the potion making is a good idea.
-if there was some way to dim the light as you get nearer to the center of the swamp biome it might make a good touch (probably not realistic, and not worth the time but it might be spiffy)
-even if you didn't have the mobs currently in development i'm sure many would appreciate the other aspects of the mod (enviroment, dungeons, etc.)
i thought small pools that spawned 'healing water' would make a good mechanic, maybe some kind of collaborative effort? hehe.
-having some sort of dungeon that you can't enter/break blocks to get in until certain requirements are met (a key or item from another dungeon, maybe a special lantern that melts the ice of the tundra dungeon, etc.)
Wowzers! I found your mod because of your post inside of chocolatin's 'better dungeons' thread, and i'm blown away by how great these 2 mods are.
I just thought I'd suggest maybe getting in touch with each other and find out if there was a way to combine your efforts. You'd probably make an excellent team! even if you just made your mods compatible with eachother that would be incredible.
to tyber: A quick suggestion would be to add more misc. items to the merchant in the guild. Just misc. things like string, food, and such. Would really save a hassle! thanks! love your work!
Hiya Folks! I just thought I'd start this up for a place to discuss our combos of mods that define our ideal minecraft experience. Reason being we can share some ideas and maybe find new ideas from others to tweak our own.
Also someone more experienced might be able to help with a quick tip or 2 to bring some ones vision to life..hehe...
providing links is always welcome! :biggrin.gif:
Not really much to expand upon, but I will just say that: My favourite creatures in Dzsharks 'mo creatures' would be the ogres, and the wraiths. They were really interesting, and the way the fit into the underground caverns was just awesome.
I loved the uniqueness of the each of them, and I think with all sorts of different myths, demons, etc. the possibilities are just gorgeous. Don't need all these crazy mechanics, all the ogres did was smash ores to make way for itself, and the wraiths..hovered..
but if anyone was to take something like dark souls for mob inspiration I think it could be a big thing.
I don't know if this has been mentioned but i just thought it might be a cool idea to make civilizations (or just retextured skins) that fit the 'mine craft' setting. like pigmen, testificates, etc. just some out of this world stuff that fits with minecraft.
thanks for the response arrrg! i'm thinking i'm just going to delete the air balloon, i was worried that i'd have to disable all of them or something...hehe glad that's not the case.
if your up for it i think some underground ruins would be fun, maybe even nether realm ruins..no idea if that's possible though.
I often use this modpack, and I love it, the only problem for me, however, is the hot-air balloons, the floating castles, and the floating islands that clutter up my world, I really love the natural beauty of my worlds without humans and structures everywhere I look, it doesn't even feel like minecraft. So here's my request, I know I'm just one person, but do you think you could make a version of this modpack without all the random clutter in my world? Other than that, the modpack is absolutely awesome.
I've had that same problem, and although i know it's configurable i wasn't able to find it. I really like the floating castles...it's just those darned air balloons that bug me so much...
if you had a quick reference on your front page that just mentioned were the config file or whatever for that specific mod is, it'd probably be a good idea...hehe..
gonna have another go at this pack soon, thank you for all your continued work! we love it!
