ever think of including files that would allow for texture pack creators to rename items based on a .txt or something?
or allow for redstone recoloring if they wanted to change it to copper or something?

But you see i seriously need a better fix, i dont remember all the mods i have, and that would be quite a screwup on worlds D: Maybe if someone Made a scratch generator script for the defaults...
you should make backups before fiddling around in minecraft. nobodys going to mod you a generator that only you will use.

Notch isn't necesarily going to add a cash shop. i was reacting to something the op said. but it would be smart after the initial release to add one after sales have died down.
This game is a bit weird, and beta is similar to full release. it is similar obviously, but if you buy a beta game, than you are paying for one in development. you never were entitled to frequent updates by buying this, you just get new content as the development goes on

They never cared about you. They were too busy making the game fun to care about you. they did care about me. but i spent my money, so now they care about people who havent bought it yet

Most games cost 60$, not to mention another 150$ in sequals, and who knows about expansion packs. thanks for pointing that out. but most games are bought after they are finished development. and this is an indie game, so obviously they wont charge 60. i dont know what the average indie game costs though, this is the only one i play

but he already got your money, so hes not concerned about keeping you happy. this **** is so viral now, and its so fun for anyone new, that he doesnt need to update to generate more revenue. he might gain a few more sales, but as his ego and pockets grow, those sales seem less and less relevant to him.
and it is a smart business move to add a cash shop. it will generate a ton of revenue for the company.
you payed for a beta game. or possibly you received the game in even earlier stages of the development. the community isnt entitled to anything. i know its not fair, because you want big updates and you want them now. but they are a business, and they care more about themselves than you. its a fact that you will have to get used to. in an ideal world, notch wouldnt be getting this much money for such a small amount of effort. but he can, so we will just have to get over it.
and anyone who has ever said: why dont you go make a game 5x better than minecraft? needs to figure out a comeback with some logic behind it. if i say i hate toyota, does that mean i make cars better than toyota? no. but can i still think that a prius would look better with a spoiler? of course. i can think something sucks without being able to beat it.

everybodys prioritys are different. to minimize the difference, try the pre-release. it has a creative mode.

now i play with 128x textures on far and fancy with 100 fps on average
i bought a new computer and its god. but i feel for you, i used to have to do that and i would get 20 on tiny looking at the sky.
