posted a message on 1.8 Horribly Broken!
Actually, it appears that the Minecraft community is broken. I can't stand to visit the forums anymore, because I realized that no matter what happens the people here will complain about it.

It seems as if people that are frustrated with the game just come here to dump complaints at the top of the forum. It doesn't matter if there's two dozen similar threads on the front page- individual complaints have to be worked in somehow.

It really just makes me sad, seeing everyone attacking the developers over a game. It's just a game to me. Why do all you complainers require perfection and instant gratification? Can't you wait for anything? Or accept anything that's not tailor made specifically for you? You're all just so negative and... selfish. It's disgusting.

Whatever, I don't care if this even gets read. I'm not going to visit this forum anymore because seeing all of the whining just makes me angry.

posted a message on The Farlands: Non-existent in 1.8?
The Far Lands were caused by a bug in the world generation code, when it was rewritten the Far Lands were removed.

Maybe this will lead to a "real" Far Lands being added to the game... either way it's not much of a loss considering that only a handful of people would ever reach the Far Lands without cheating.

I would expect 90% of the computers made today to get 40 fps or less on the highest settings.

That is the greatest conclusion ever to be pulled out of someone's ass.

Ok, tell that to the masses of people complaining after the update.

There is nothing that will stop the massive epidemic of complaining and nothing that will make us care and cave into your petty demands.

I think that every element of the game should be toggleable, starting with blocks.

In all seriousness though it's stupid to be able to toggle major game elements.

Implying that your an adult, which terrifies me considering that you were immature enough to start this rather snobbish thread, thinking that it would actually go anywhere or do anything but make you look like an asshole.

I understand that bugs are introduced ... but there should be like ... three rounds of bugfixes for every round of feature introductions.

Every other beta that I've tested for has been as buggy as ****. Explain exactly why the argument "it's in beta" is wrong. How is it supposed to be prevented? How will adding a bugfix stop new features from introducing new bugs?

You realize that two dozen new bugs are added with each update?

    ****ing moron.

I'm glad that you're contributing by bitching and moaning. I would try telling you that the game is in beta and adding new features will inevitably add bugs, but you probably wouldn't understand.

I think you should be able to take wool without shears. I mean, come on - as barbaric as it sounds, it's not hard to imagine ripping wool off a sheep with your bare hands, as traumatizing as that might be to the sheep. If you absolutely need a bed to survive, you shouldn't worry about making tools to get wool, you should just get the wool.

Except in real life you wouldn't even need a bed to sleep. Or wool to make a bed. And there wouldn't be monsters.
