Sep 12, 2014benloran posted a message on John Smith: Legacy [JSTR - Mod support (FTB, Tekkit, AT .etc.)][Community GitHub Project]I've put together a little override pack (place it above the John Smith pack in the Resource Pack list in Minecraft) with some alternate diorite, andesite and granite. It's just some textures taken from John Smith alternate packages and the Technician's Remix, with some minor coloring adjustments. Also included are fixes for the sides of pressure plates being black.Posted in: Resource Packs

Jan 19, 2011I just downloaded 1.2.4 for Mac OSX 64-bit, and it wouldn't run, and I was seeing this error in Console:Posted in: Minecraft Tools
([0x0-0x1a70a6f].Minecrafter_1_2_4_mac64): posix_spawn("/Applications/Minecraft/Minecrafter_1_2_4_mac64.app/Contents/MacOS/JavaApplicationStub", ...): Permission denied
I was able to fix it in a shell by going into the Minecrafter_1_2_4_mac64.app/Contents/MacOS directory and making the JavaApplicationStub executable with chmod.
Jan 15, 2011Awesome update, Frenden. I love the dispenser in particular!Posted in: Resource Packs
One thing I noticed, though, is the particles.png is missing the new note particle for the music boxes. Not a huge deal, though.
Thanks for you work on this!
Dec 3, 2010There was another thread about this earlier this summer. It's been a problem for a long time, and I think it's probably only something Notch can fix (just an uneducated guess).Posted in: Legacy Support
Here's the old thread: Cloud Problem
It's not just clouds though. It's very noticeable with far-away trees or torches at night (with render distance on FAR). Sometimes I can see interior torches through walls until I get pretty close to a building.

Here's a tip: When you want to find something in a forum, try looking at stickied threads. Also, try the Search function.
Oct 22, 2010Honestly, it looks like you did not properly install the pack.Posted in: Resource Packs
The errors you are getting sound like Minecraft can't find the textures. I'd guess that you maybe deleted the default textures and then put the painterly textures in the wrong place. Either that, or you are using some mod that's not working properly... something like that.

Bottom-right corner, new reed item texture?
Again, bottom right corner. I think they're dandelions or something. I didn't notice these the last time I checked the site
If you actually read the descriptions on the site, you won't have to guess.
"Should the default reeds not be your thing, there is also a darker green wild bamboo, with matching bamboo pieces for your inventory."
"Also included to mix it up are Slime eggs. Now you know where they come from. Lucky you!"

From the previous page:
Oct 4, 2010I mixed it up so that light wood is for rough, unfinished blocks (planks, workbench, torches) and dark wood for the crafted look (chests, doors, record players, etc). I like it a lot. Although I kept ladders and cart tracks dark just so they'd show up better against wood planks... realistically they wouldn't be stained wood, but they're too hard to see when they're the same color as the wood behind them.Posted in: Resource Packs
I tried mixing and matching dark and light stone in similar ways (dark natural stone and light cobblestone and forge, for instance), but the hue of the light stone is too different from dark stone, and it ended up looking pretty bad.
Sep 11, 2010I'm pretty sure you can specify an arbitrary path in Cartograph. So as long as you can read your mac drives from the windows side, you should be able to just enter the path to your map that way. I'm not sure where it tries to save the .png files, though.Posted in: Mods Discussion
If that doesn't work, you could just copy the save files to your windows partition and run Cartograph on that. The saves are in /Users/yourname/Library/Application Support/minecraft/saves. Just copy that whole folder over, or just the worlds you want to map. Should work fine (though I have not tried it, myself).
