Stereotype about a stereotype, today has been interesting.
I hate how people scream about what race a character is. Who cares if Finn is black? A once black character is now white? Oh no!
Nano, because he's sooo cute!
Legends... Are Real.
Kingdoms... Hold Power.
Soldiers... Rule the Land.
Beasts... Rule the Wild.
Mysteries... Rule the Mind.
In a world parallel to ours, but also different in many ways, humanity developed civilization, and as is to be expected, a conflict erupted. The land upon which this battle of ideals was waged is known as Terma, and so, this conflict was known as the Conflict of Terma.
There were four main powers in the land of Terma, each living in their own kingdom with their own ideals. On the eastern coastal plains and forests, lived the Shcots, a proud and courageous (Albeit primitive) group, formed into a clan system. On the southern coasts, the foolish but artful Fairlans lived in beautiful cities, proudly displaying their artistic prowess. The Garlants inhabited the north-west, there they were an advanced and practical group, with advanced technology and a formidable military force. The Landons, organized into a kingdom of heritage, were situated in the west.
In the far north, among the many frigid and barren islands, lived the Volgrants, a brutal group of savage men and women who often lead raids against the closest factions, or even amongst themselves.
To the west lay another continent of marvellous mystery named Orma, and in the eastern sea, several Island Tribes have been noted. Among these mysterious western groups were the Sholan, who had great mental and physical abilities in combat, alchemy and stealth. They were known to occasionally trade with the Terman factions, but they remained very secluded in their fortresses of mystical power. In the north of Orma, one could find the Sirbans, organized into small towns within the northern forests and tundra plains.
The dangers of Terma are not just caused by the other kingdoms. Raiders, Wild Men, Pirates, Barlos, Lycans, Trigain, Dragons and other beasts, many of them already common to Earth's Europe and North America..

Lost underground many years ago, these heavily armored knights are not men nor are they statues. Are they guarding something? They have forgotten what. Are they waiting for something? They have forgotten when. Are they mourning someone? They have forgotten whom. All they know is to slay those who approach their chambers. There is only one way to damage a Ferrous Wroughtnaut; its weakness is for you to discover.
Only the bravest of adventurers would dare to challenge a Ferrous Wroughtnaut. Upon defeat, the Wroughtnaut will drop its Wrought Helm and its Axe of a Thousand Metals for the victor. Right clicking with the axe attacks in a large arc, and shift-right clicking will create a shockwave that brings targets closer to you. Neither tool can break.
Native to the savanna, the Barakoa tribesmen travel in small hunting packs. They are one with the masks on their heads, which cannot be removed. Some use bones as clubs as weapons while others use poisoned blowdarts. Each hunting pack is led by a Barakoana elite, wielding a traditional spear and shield. The Barakoa make traversing the savanna quite dangerous, as they can surround their prey quickly and put up a good chase.
When defeated, the Barakoa will sometimes drop their masks as items that the player can wear. Each mask bestows a different, small buff.
Barakoa can also be found in villages scattered across the savanna plain.
Barako, the Sun Chief
Barako is the chief of the Barakoa tribe, residing in a stationary seat upon a throne in Barakoa villages. He draws his power from the sun, calling forth sunstrikes, solar flares, and massive solar beams. He can also create Barakoa followers from masks to defend him during combat. As such, his masked children revere him as a god. Unequipped travelers should keep their distance from his villages, lest they be smitten by his heliomancy.
Those strong enough to face and defeat him, however, are rewarded with his mask: the Sol Visage. This mask allows its wearers to breathe life into masks to create Barakoa followers. Unfortunately, the mask does not bestow heliomancy upon its bearer; this power is innately carried by Barako, and thus dies with him. Perhaps there is another way...?
Frostmaws are dangerous beasts found rarely in snowy areas. Their massive size, impressive speed, and powerful ice breath make them near-impossible opponents. If, on your travels, you encounter one sleeping in your path, it's likely best to take a different route and let it lay. The beast guards a precious ice crystal that can unleash pure winter energy when wielded.
These adorable crystal crustaceans live deep underground in caves and ravines. Sometimes called “living ore,” Grottols are prized as a rare source of diamonds. But only the quickest of adventurers can manage to catch them before they burrow away; grottols are very fast and surprisingly clever, even using minecarts to escape pursuers. Keep in mind that only iron or stronger pickaxes can penetrate their diamond shells.
Lanterns dot the canopy of roofed forests, glowing like jellyfish. Some cultures believe that these creatures contain the souls of the recently deceased. Others wish on them like stars. Adventurers, however, know that the luminous jelly inside lanterns is a great light snack that will briefly illuminate the darkest of nights.
Coastal cliffs are dangerous places. Adventurers tell of winged serpents called nagas with impressive speed and menacing acid venom. Though these drakes are powerful, a well-placed arrow can knock a naga right out of the sky; time your shots to hit when the naga is preparing an attack.
Naga acid is deadly, but can actually be used to neutralize other poisons. The fangs they drop upon death can be used to brew poison antidotes and preventatives.

Better HUD is a mod which currently adds in 28 new elements to the HUD while in-game. Each can be enabled or disabled, and most can be moved or customised. Any bugs reported are kindly appreciated. If you have a crash, it's a good idea to include a crash report in [ spoiler ] tags to report it.
The default key to open the HUD configuration menu is U. This can be changed in the controls settings, under "Miscellaneous". Each can be turned on or off and modified.
We started a rewrite of the mod and a renewal of all the textures. Pictures taken from the mod before rewriting but with new textures.

Falker knew the smell that filled his nostrils. Fear, these two had no chance against four large raptors like themselves. He had killed their kind before, and while they were strong, Dilos lacked the agility of a raptor. This would be no problem. He crouched, bared his teeth, and was prepared to pounce.
"Hold." Talon said firmly.
"You heard me." He replied. "You two, you have no chance at taking down one of us, let alone four. Retreat now or take the risk of mortal injury or death."
"That rioght, We'll rip ya limb from limb!" Blaine said, licking his chops and staring at the two dinosaurs in front of him.
"I know you don't want this, take my mercy and leave, now." Talon said again, muscles tightening.
"Stop! There will be no need!" A voice commanded.
Talon looked away from his adversaries to spot a Troodon atop a great mossy boulder. He knew he had seen her before.
"You, you're Scarlet, one of Loki's worst cronies."
"And you are Talon, Utahraptor, alien to this land and dead for the last few seasons."
"What do you want? If you're not here to stop Set, then get out of my way."
"Now,now, that is no way to talk to a fellow rebel now is it? I'm here to fight to, this is my island after all."
"Dead or a general by this point, I'm not really sure."
"Really? I thought he was to self righteous and prideful to be under a command. Perhaps Set has saved me the trouble."
"Alright, enough." Scarlet added quickly. "I'm done talking about him. Do you promise to remain my ally, until this is over?"
Talon thought it over, she was almost as bad as Loki, but a bit less tricky...
"I think it would prove to be quite good for us ol boy." An accented voice said from behind.
Talon whirled around to spot Sherlock, followed by Sheira coming from the brush. "Stand down!" He ordered, noticing Blaine ready to pounce.
"How bloody many people does he know?" The achillobator asked himself.
Sheira was silent, she only walked to Talon and embraced him. It had been far too long, too long to not cry.
"How-How are you alive?" Sheira asked through the tears of joy.
"Well you know me, nine lives, like a Vintana." Talon said, squeezing her before releasing.
"I'd imagine that is a long story for another time." Sherlock said, winking at Talon. His tenacity was incredible, almost as if there was a divine interference.
Scarlet looked down at the happy reunion. Slightly overwhelmed, she began to speak again. "Are you going to accept my offer or not?"
Talon looked at her again, confident. "Well, I don't have much of a choice if I want to kill Set, so I guess I am."
Red, Crusher, and Chippy spy on them from a distance away, behind a large bush.
"Wait... is that... a UTAHRAPTOR!?", whispered Red.
"I thought he died!", pondered Crusher.
"Oh, boy; he's back!", silently exclaimed Chippy.
"Well, anyways. You two are going to see what's going on between those guys, and then report back to everyone else. Meanwhile, I'll sneak back to where I last left off. Understood?", asked Red.
"Understood.", answered Chippy and Crusher.
While Red ran into the undergrowth, Chippy and Crusher went back to looking at Talon, Scarlet, Sherlock, Sheira, Snips, Snaps, Blaine, and Falker. Snips and Snaps were still threatening the others, who just ignored them, talking about their plans to overthrow Set. Of course, it was somewhat hard to understand, due to the fact that Snips and Snaps were talking a little louder than the others, but the 3 coelurosaurs grasped the core idea of the plan.
"Ah, in such a desperate situation, we must group together to fight a common enemy, no?", a voice said behind Chippy, startling him.

attempted to update the thread with info on the small crabs... after 4 or 5 tries it still doesn't seem to want me to add anything other than a single picture. however if you're reading this, then it finally worked in letting me edit the thread. I am very confused... these forums seem to be very buggy in weird ways now after the recent update. :\
7/26/2014: fixed the typo in the last news update.. i'll fix the rest of the post once the forum support spoilers again,
the bugfix alpha version 1.2 for Minecraft version 1.6.4(Forge) has been release with a few new features. added small crabs, tuna, and sailfish! also you can now catch squids with your net and release them whenever you want! we also added a new color variation for the lobsters, so you can now find black lobsters.
we FINNALLY release the alpha version 1.1! we added a couple coral blocks and plants, added coral reefgeneration and kelp forests into the ocean biomes! we also added a generated structure in vilages, a new villager, and a handful of new mobs! the new mobs include: clams, starfish, lobsters and 3 types of new fish! there's the mossyback bottom feeders, spotted bottom feeders, and salmon! we also added the goggles to help people fully apriciate the new changes to the oceans. we also reworked the ai for the fish so they'd work the way we intended in the 1st update(they were very glitchy) we also added 5 new types of food! raw and cooked lobster claws and lobster tails. we also added sushi!
the atlanticcraft reviewed the mod, and showed off some features from the current dev build. its posted below 3/28/2014: TODAY WE REALEASE TO YOU, THE ALPHA VERSION! it features the regular fishy that comes in differnt colors, and the cave fish! the only items in the alpha are the differnt kinds & sizes of fish, and the net needed to capture them, and the fish fillets which are the food that the fish are crafted into. the download will be at the bottom of the page. 3/14/2014: as of a few days ago, the modder LittleBreadLoaf, the creator of the Bleach Mod for Mincraft has agreed to start working on the mod. today i got to test out what he's done so far, and its looking great! we might even have a downloadable alpha version of the mod ready in under a week! x/x/x: Overhauled opening post on the forum. Added info for (etc etc)
the bugfix alpha version 1.2 for Minecraft version 1.7.2(Forge) has been release with a few new features. added small crabs, tuna, and sailfish! also you can now catch squids with your net and release them whenever you want! we also added a new color variation for the lobsters, so you can now find black lobsters.
lots of things have happened since i last updated this post. we've recruited a new coder, Frag2000, who has basically re-created the mod from scratch, and has taken leadership of the mod's development. we also created a shared MCforums account for the dev team to make posts and to use to post a new thread for the mod. once we FINALLY post and update version of the mod we will be removing most information on this thread and adding a link to the new one.
The fish are able to detect a floating lure in the water when its within a specific radius and height depending on the type of fish, and will slowly swim towards it and once they get close enough they dart at it and get "hooked". Once they're hooked all other fish will avoid the lure and hooked fish and flee from it. The hooked fish will start to berserk and swim around erratically like a peaceful mob that has been attacked. To "catch" the fish once its hooked simply right click to pull it on land. After a set time of being hooked, depending on the fish, a fish will start to swim downwards making it harder to pull out of the water. Once its on land it will begin to flop around on its side like a real fish bouncing around until it is killed or lands back into the water. To get the fish in item form you left click it with a "net" which will despawn the fish and give you the fish item that can be used to re-spawn the fish. This means chasing down fish with the net is a valid fishing method assuming you can get close enough. Fish also avoids players keeping their distance by darting extra quick, so the player can't simply swim after them and hit them with a sword.
Coral reefs and kelp forests have been added! dispite being called kelp forests, theyre mostly made of seaweed, and only a small amount of kelp.
spawns rarely in villages with 2 fantastic fishermen(new vilagers)the fisherman trades in "pearls" for various mod related items. he also buys legendary fish for large amounts of emeralds!

*Don't forget to if you like what you see!*
NOTE: This thread is not intended to be spam like many of the other "Minecraft is dying" threads, nor to start flame wars, NOR TO ASK THE QUESTION of if it is dying or not. It is simply meant to help stop the conspiring on the forum caused by derps who have no idea what they're talking about.
Ever since the Minecraft Forums started, there have been several pointless threads going up about "OH GOD MINECRAFT DEAD", or "Is Minecraft Declining?", and "Minecrfat die" (spelling mistake intended). However many people say that Minecraft is a dying game, whether the reason is Microsoft's acquisition, Notch leaving, stupid developers, etc., this is not entirely the case. The game itself (as to say the actual game code, not the servers) is not what is in decline at all, the part dying being certain aspects of the community.
One thing that I know many of us can accept is that about 99% of the players on most servers are a right pain in the behind. Sure, a lot of people would say "Minecraft is getting even more popular!", and they'd be right, the only issue being is that the newcomers are 50% hackers, 50% stupid squeaking kids. This has led to servers getting full of people disrupting the gameplay for others, and thus contributing to the decline of the servers, as in the mature people who actually want to play leaving and not coming back.
The servers themselves are also declining in two other aspects: Staffing and plugins. For one thing, the situation for plugins has become gradually more difficult after the DMCA of Bukkit, which is now being fixed and updated extremely slowly considering that now a small team is all that is working on it. To add to the plugins issue, while two or more years ago there would've been quite a few simply vanilla survival servers, most servers are the typical:
[1.8] [1.7] [EPICAWESOMEDIAMONDCRAFTLOL] [FACTIONS] [PVP] [FACTIONS] [PVP] [FACTIONS] [PVP] [SURVIVAL GAMES] [AWESHUM STAFF]
where pretty much everything is either factions full of 7-year-olds, pvp with 7-year-olds, or jail with the admin of the server (don't even get me started.)
If that can get any more annoying, a lot of what goes on on a typical server is based around a [VIP] or [YAY DONATOR] or [RICH DIAPER-CLAD BABY] system.
Staffing has become an extreme problem in the sense that most servers nowadays are run by either power-abusive 3rd graders who ban everybody and then cry, or power-abusive 16-year-olds who curse their heads off and make absurd rules.
One of the more problematic areas in which Minecraft declining is the modifications community. While the bigger mods, such as MrCrayfish's Furniture Mod, or Tinkers Construct, still thrive to this day, some of the smaller mods that were extremely popular in the days of 1.2-1.5 have either died entirely, or have been taken up by idiots who don't even know how to create a class in Java. The slightly frightening parts about this is that modding is almost entirely what keeps Minecraft alive and popular. To make matters worse, Planet Minecraft, which has quite a large modding and texturing community, is in somewhat of a decline considering the fact that a majority of what's on it was stolen from somebody else, and nobody can figure out the licensing, original creator, etc.
The one issue that many people have repeatedly stated, the king of all the issues, is updates. Or is it? When you look at some of the 1.7 updates, you'll see this:
+ All kinds of flowers
+ Rainbow glass
+ Rainbow wool
+ More rainbows
+ Two new completely pointless types of trees!
+ A completely unnecessary rendering engine that broke all the mods!
And for 1.8:
+ Spiky fish! Spooky!
+ Bunny wabbits!
+ Bunny wabbit skin!
+ Bunny wabbit meat!
+ Sheep guts!
+ Another unnecessary update to the rendering engine that broke all the mods AGAIN!
Isn't it all just so happy and nice and delicious?
The updates may be annoying for mod-makers, and they might be full of pointless things that don't really help, but this isn't completely negative for Minecraft's development.
Many people say that MICROSOFT IS BEHIND IT ALL!
I hate to bust all you conspirers bubbles, but this is in no way the case. As stated in this WIRED article, Microsoft's main duty with Minecraft was to help manage it's decline. Mojang, as quite a few of us may agree, probably wasn't going to be able to handle this themselves. Microsoft is not adding micro transactions, not adding any new features, and overall pretty much staying entirely out of it's development. Mojang was already in a slight decline finding new ways to manage money, after two of their newest games: 0x10c and Scrolls, both died, they had two options left: Minecraft and Cobalt. Cobalt's issue is that it is still in early development, and Minecraft's issue is that it won't last forever.
In short, Minecraft as a game is not what is in a decline. The decline that everybody is gossiping, spamming, and conspiring about is in the major parts of the general community, including multiplayer and modding.
P.S.: As for the spamming idiots, please just stop.
