posted a message on (A dinosaur RP) Chronicles of Terratan: Moonlight. (Finale begins the 25th.)

((Sorry for the delay. I feel really bad. ))

Moonfire stood, shaking. The larger carnivore lashed out with his jaws, but the lighter of the two dodged this attack. She slashed him across the face, causing a growl of anger. With all her might, she ran and jumped, hitting him in the side, while also slashing with her claws. The mistake of a lifetime. The largest of the two hit her across the clearing with his tail, sending her flying. He approached the fallen angel, jaws open. She cringed and closed her eyes, waiting for death.

There was intense vibration, then nothing.

She opened her eyes, a great shadow was over her, a drop of blood fell and hit her nose as she looked in awe.

    "Titanis!" She yelled in glee.

The great crocodile threw the tyrannosaurs limp corpse aside, he had snuck up behind the beast and broken it's back with his jaws.

He lowered his body, his head lying on the ground.

"Moonfire, it brings me joy to see you once more." He said, looking at the small dark theropod. "Is that Thoth I see over there hiding in the brush? To shame, I would have thought he would be aiding you, not playing in trees..."

Sherlock and Shiera were near Red's former territory, but everything seemed quiet. Alas, there was little sign that anyone had been there.

((Any time now PC, I did wait till Jan. :) ))

Meanwhile, Fellatia was in the warm blankets of her cot. Her and Ranger had been renting a 10x10 cell for quite some time, this was the best sleep she had in a long time. She slept quite sound, but her mind was active...

The tavern was quite busy, various people going in and out, several tables of them sitting and talking. Fellatia walked into the bar, the frigid wind blowing her long leather coat in the wind, Ranger at her side with his eyes aglow.

The place went silent, everyone looking at her. After a moment, they all went back to their normal activities, but more quietly.

Fellatia approached the bar, her long pitch black hair brushed into waves, her green eyes looking around the area, then locking on the bartender.

"Gimme a Z'kul, shaken, not mixed."

    "We don't carry that Ma'am."

"You do now." She said, tightening her grip on her long, bulky rifle.

"I'll check the back." The nervous man replied, the look on his silverish face one of concern.

Looking to her left, Fellatia spotted a man, human. He was very tall, dark, and handsome.

"Have you seen this?" She asked, holding out a picture of a terran space shuttle. "I'm looking for one, I'm an archaeologist."

"Normally dates ask my name first." He replied in a smooth voice.

"I never implied that, but if you're looking for adventure..."

"I've got a 50gh mech cannon in my ship."

"You've got a deal." She replied, sipping her drink that had arrived. "My name is Fellatia, this is my cat."

"I'm totally fine with the fact that your cat is a giant robot."

"I'm fine with your amazing chiseled biceps."

"Would you like to go on adventures, finding fame and fortune, terran artifacts and meeting my equally attractive friends?"

    "Oh would I. Kiss me."

"I would," His jazzy voice replied. "But there's just one problem."

    "What?" She asked, panicked.

    "It's time to wake up."

    Fellatia opened her eyes, blinking.

"It's time to wake up Fellatia, by default you want to sleep four hours while traveling, and it has been four hours, two minutes." Ranger said.

Fellatia sat up. Ranger was sitting by her bed in Trooks ship. Not the tall dark and handsome man from the bar's ship, but the masked merc that kidnaped her 's ship. She guessed her eyes were still not green, and she was no archeologist, not yet.

"Well I'm up, shall we go see what Trook is up to?"

"He may be awake, in anycase we can at least sit by a window." Ranger remarked, strolling out of the room. Fellatia's dream was over, but that hardly meant her adventure was over.

"Did you leave some time last night?" She asked her Robot friend.

"Only for a very good reason."

Not to mention the random generating world makes a bit of a mess too, sadly that's something that can't be worked around unless you import another players' save. And even then villages will always spawn in odd places, sometimes with massive holes in the middle of them too.

Yeah, what I hate most about terrain gen is have cold biomes right next to plains/deserts. But that's a minecraft thing in general. Some biomes o plenty world's work well, but it is hard.

He would have to tweak a bit that because,it has some really pointless biomes.

True, but minecraft has bad biomes for pack building to.

When the update comes out I will challenge myself and create a new world and a new dinosaur park.

I have had my old one since april 25th or 26th 2015, now it is time to start a new one!

I will get the dinos the hard way and the only way for me to see the new models will be in old fashion F/A style: some luck, analyzers and a lot of culture vats.

Btw, I hope Brachiosaurus is todays animal to be shown to us!

If not I hope it is Dilo, Spino or the thing in the window (deinonychus).

I'm doing this to, I recommend Biomes O' plenty, it has plants and terrain that will make cage design much more fun.

Now, that we have this cleared up I think NO ONE should reply to any more of this argument as even in this formal writing it will most likely end up in argument. So Now we should all just forget about this and talk about more important stuff. Like how with new animations and AI spinosaurus will finally be worth having in the park!

    Agreed.

Also, I am super psyched about the new spinosaurus. Crocodile traits is what made spino one of my favorites in the first place, so I'm excited for the new changes.

Big bird is looking nice Raptor! RAWK!

There is nothing wrong with informing someone that carbon 14 dating should not be used to date anything that is older than 50,000 years:

    (1) It only works on organic substances (fossils are not organic as they are the replacement of the bones by minerals).

    (2) The half-life is only 5730 years which means that by the time something has been dead for over 50,000 years the carbon 14 levels will be extremely low.

    (3) Due to how radioactive isotopes undergo exponential decay once carbon 14 reaches a certain level the time taken for it to decay dramatically increases which means that older levels still resemble younger levels.

    (4) Carbon 14 dating has been shown to be unreliable due to how carbon levels have changed throughout time, with the higher levels of atmospheric carbon causing contamination of fossils once unearthed.

    (5) The process of mineral replacement results in additional carbon 14 being added as well.

    (6) We use a number of different radioactive isotopes together in order to accurately determine the age of the objects

To say that the dinosaur fossil is 40,000 years old due to carbon dating is a complete disregard to all that we have learnt about radioisotopes. While claiming the earth is that young is to disregard modern physics, geology and biology. If we don't want a generation of ignorant people who think that simply because you believe something it makes it true, then we will struggle to have the rationale required to deal with current crisis.

What you said above is true, but as I said, I redact my statement. After all, if they want to keep religion there is no reason they cannot have both. Apologies to all, I've mucked up.

"Be wary to look on this so positively," Leif countered, but within he knew that Karthra was correct. It was good to have friends, though, and hopefully this wouldn't be their only one within the town.

It was difficult to make out his features in the darkness of the night, and despite the flickering of torch light across his face Leif couldn't discern Kyle's expression. His body language showed no signs of recognition, so it was possible that the Fairlan had not yet noticed them.

((I'm mostly waiting for Kyle to do somthing.))

It was just a suggestion to keep religion out of the forum, I could say the same to him about bringing it up to, I only addressed you because you are a team member. I feel that a response to his link, simply stating that you think it's wrong would be sufficient. But ignoring things works just as well, perhaps that is what I should have done. Also, racism is a personal problem, not a belief, at least for most people. Anyway, no intent to attack Alex, just a suggestion. I should have said that in the first place, it was poorly worded on my part. I'm replying to this, so I'm just extending the argument I suggested to not have, so that's no good. Consider my suggestion redacted, I'm not a sufficient replacement for the bringer of peace.

Also, it is true that the world was created 7777 years ago, so science has made false claims for years. Clearly your data is flawed.

I'm sorry but any source stating that "dinosaur bones (and other things that are supposed to be millions of years old) are dated as only being 22,000-41,000 years old" is completely incorrect. Further more, Carbon 14 is not the only method used to test fossilized remains, including but not limited to: Fission Track, Potassium argon, chemical analysis, stratigraphy, and many more. Non Avian Dinosaurs are very old and they died out 66 million years ago, a scientific fact supported by all reputable scientific organizations.

Saying you're sorry doesn't make telling someone their beliefs are wrong okay. I don't think the earth is 4000 years old, but if that is what someone choses to believe, that's fine with me. Not like you're going to change their opinion. If it was something like what stars burn, the coloration of an animal or something that has nothing to do with religion it would be fine, but I remember the last conversation about something like this...

My reaction to the Liopleurodon [/b]model: I like it over all. The eyes seems... Odd... But it is very nice. The coloration is good to.
